February 8th, 1505 of the Sea Calendar.
As the coalition army from the four neighboring kingdoms stormed across the border into Flevance, they were five days too te.
By that time, the Noah family had already escaped, taking with them the citizens of Flevance and over 200 billion Berries worth of treasure.
This development caught the World Government off guard, shaking even the highest ranks, including the Five Elders.
Mary Geoise.
In the Room of Authority, the Five Elders listened intently to the report from the CP6 officer via Den Den Mushi. Their faces remained expressionless, but their eyes betrayed surprise and deep contemption.
Legal Martial God Topman Warcury was the first to speak, turning to the others. “What are your thoughts?”
“They likely used some kind of Devil Fruit ability to relocate everyone. But Amber Lead poisoning isn’t easily cured. Keep an eye on the Drum Kingdom. If they pn to treat the disease, that’s the most probable pce they’ll go,” suggested Scientific Defense Martial God Jaygarcia Saturn.
“I agree.”
“Agreed.”
“Agreed.”
Warcury pressed further. “How should we cssify the incident in Flevance?”
Environmental Martial God Marcus Mars put forth a suggestion. “We should release a public statement ciming that an explosion in the mines unleashed a deadly cloud of Amber Lead dust, leading to the destruction of the Kingdom of Flevance. Simultaneously, we’ll decre the area quarantined for 50 years. Thoughts?”
“Agreed!”
“As for the escaped Flevance survivors, once we confirm their location, we will issue a Buster Call and eradicate them entirely.”
“Agreed!”
Soon after, the World Government’s official newspapers published the narrative they had crafted about the Flevance incident.
Though some astute individuals suspected foul py, the World Government's 800-year reign and iron grip on information silenced any public dissent. Even Morgans, the notorious news broker, was warned to keep quiet.
North Blue.
The Kingdom of Lublunel.
This was the homend of Montbnc Nond, known for his tall tales.
In a secluded seaside vil, Andy and Mei were intensely focused on treatment, having stayed in the temporary ward for three days.
During this time, Noah had injected Andy with 50 years’ worth of life force, followed by a small dose of IQ extract.
Over the next three days, the IQ components triggered a hyperactive response from Andy's immune system, much like how bats can resist multiple viruses. His body temperature spiked to 42 degrees Celsius.
If it were a normal person, sustaining such a high temperature for three days would have left them brain-dead.
But with the help of the IQ extract and the massive influx of life force, Andy not only endured the fever but used it, along with accelerated metabolism and rapid life force depletion, to purge the accumuted Amber Lead from his system.
With the first successful case behind them, Andy refined the treatment process. By increasing nutritional supplements and potassium salt solutions, they could enhance the body’s recovery speed and expel the Amber Lead faster.
Mei completed her detox and recovery in just 53 hours.
However, both Andy and Mei understood that this method was not scable. Treating just one person required a consumption of 50 years’ worth of life force—far too extravagant to apply to the remaining Flevance survivors.
Andy didn’t even ask Noah to use this method on his own children. His ethics as a doctor wouldn’t allow it.
The couple used the treatment because they needed to survive—whether to consume the Op-Op Fruit or to develop alternative cures, their work wasn’t finished yet, so they couldn’t die.
Still, Noah had already treated their son, Law, ahead of time.
The reason was simple.
Noah needed Law to attract the Op-Op Fruit.
In the original timeline, Law had been chosen by the fruit as much as he chose it. Their fates were intertwined.
To fuel Law’s determination to find the fruit, Noah told him that the only way to fully cure his sister, Lammy, and the orphans was through the powers of the Op-Op Fruit.
After staying in the Kingdom of Lublunel for more than half a month, Law spent his time learning medicine from his parents and training in martial arts and Haki under Noah.
Of course, Noah didn’t neglect his ideological training. He not only gave Law the Five Books of Dragon-Sying but also taught him about the harsh realities of the world, especially the corruption of the Celestial Dragons and nobility. This further opened Law’s eyes to the rotten state of the world.
Inside the Nautilus, Law sat blindfolded, his head covered in welts.
Ari, holding a bamboo rod with a grin, asked, “Law, want to take a break?”
“No! I can keep going!” Law responded stubbornly.
Whack!
“Ah!”
“You got distracted.”
In the ship, Andy and Mei were absent, having been sent to Sixis Isnd to research IQ Grass and other medicines.
Noah crossed another isnd off his map, clearly frustrated. Another isnd with no Devil Fruit.
More than two months passed quietly. The Flevance incident was slowly being forgotten in the tide of current events.
Meanwhile, CP6 agents stationed in the Drum Kingdom had been cooling their heels for months, but they hadn’t given up and continued their surveilnce.
One afternoon...
While navigating around a massive iceberg field, the Nautilus changed course and approached a nearby isnd.
“Big brother, there’s a small vilge on the other side of this isnd,” Ari reported.
Noah’s eyes glinted. “I know. There’s also a Devil Fruit on this isnd.”
“A Devil Fruit?” Ari wasn’t too surprised. Over the past two months, they had already found another Devil Fruit on a deserted isnd—an ordinary Zoan-type Sheep-Sheep Fruit, Model: Sheep.
Currently, the Noah family had several Devil Fruits in their possession that hadn’t been eaten yet: the Carp Fruit, Red Fox Fruit, Rattlesnake Fruit, Paste-Paste Fruit, Doberman Fruit, and Sheep Fruit. Most of them were Zoan-type.
“Are we treasure hunting again?” Law asked, excitement clear in his voice.
“Don’t get careless. Let’s head to the isnd,” Noah warned before storing the Nautilus and leading Ari and Law ashore.
The isnd's residents lived on the opposite side, and with Noah using Observation Haki to monitor their surroundings, their nding went unnoticed.
They spent the entire day searching through the forests and mountains but didn’t find the Devil Fruit. However, none of them seemed discouraged.
The next day, they continued their search, venturing closer to the vilge.
At the edge of a rge peach grove, Law spotted a red, heart-shaped fruit covered in the distinctive swirling patterns of a Devil Fruit.
Excited, he called Noah and Ari over.
When Noah saw it, he immediately recognized it as the Op-Op Fruit.
“Law, eat it,” Noah said firmly.
Law hesitated. “If we give it to my father, wouldn’t he be able to master its power faster and help more people?”
“Your father isn’t suited for this fruit. Don’t you think it would be more meaningful if you were the one to save Lammy with your own hands?” Noah reasoned.
Hearing Noah’s words, Law’s resolve hardened. He picked up the Op-Op Fruit and took a bite. He knew it would taste terrible, but he hadn’t expected it to be this awful.
The moment he swallowed, he colpsed to the ground, retching. “Urgh… it’s disgusting!”
Noah handed him a few peaches to eat and casually left 500 Berries at the base of a tree.
The group had come quietly and left just as silently.
