After a few hours of riding along with someone else driving, I decided I disliked it but understood the need for it. "We are going to the nearest Auction House annex, then we have to stop at Shinwa's Clothier to get your measurements for suits and see if you can walk out with one. Then I suggest we head to somewhere to get you a haircut." Adriana commented from the passenger seat.
I frowned and grabbed my hair, I had let it go but it was just down to my shoulders, "Really?" I asked her as I heard my phone ring.
I didn't recognize the number, but I trusted Adriana, "Yes really." the Tiger-Kin commented as I picked up.
I sighed as I picked up the call, "Hello?" I gave a tentative response.
"Hello to you too Mr. Bck, it's Sara. I was wondering if you could swing by campus and pick me up in an hour." I reyed the request to Adriana who nodded her head.
I quickly asked her another question before I responded to the phycologist, "Yeah, we can make it, see you in an hour." I told her.
I could hear people on the other end, so I knew she wasn't alone, but it didn't stop her from talking, "Are you ok?" I could hear the concern in her voice.
I grimaced, "No, I will see you in an hour Sara." I told her then hung up before she could dig into the situation.
Adriana smiled back at me, but I ignored it as I watched the building fly by as we drove down the street before we turned into a rge parking lot. The head of the security team had set the schedule today and had done her best to drive me crazy with what I could and could not wear as certain standards were expected of someone like me...
As if I cared what others thought, but the perception was reality for some people despite the facts of things. As we rolled towards the building, I reviewed the daily Quest I had received during the night, thankful the System was catering it too my current limits as I was already feeling tired.

[colpse]The distance was a quarter of a mile, and I had already covered half of it with all the shopping I had to endure so far. "Ready?" I sighed at the question and closed out the Quest Log as I looked towards Adriana and nodded.
At least they didn't compin about me opening my own door, at least not yet but it was a near thing. Adriana and two others I hadn't been introduced to yet exited the vehicles and followed me into the annex building, it wasn't that big and had three distinct areas. The first was for people looking to sell items, the second was for those purchasing, and the st was the pickup area.
We headed for the selling area, thankfully the line wasn't that long so we wouldn't have to wait that long. I focused and pulled out the Anchor Key I had received and bought up the item's information as I focused on it.
SpoilerAnchor Key Item TypeAccess Key; KeyItem CssEpic; Unique Instructions: Using any threshold, insert the key into the open area and turn the Anchor Key to cause a doorway to open to a unique instanced Dungeon.Party Size: 1Durability: Indestructible
[colpse]I dismissed the information as I continued to focus causing another window to appear.
Spoiler--- General Information: Anchor Key --- Anchor Keys are almost universally unique, each Adventurer and Crafter will attain at least one to gain a chance to unlock their Profession. All others can be acquired from Floor Bosses from the Towers of Tribution, Dungeon Rifts, Labyrinth bosses, and on rare occasions from Quest rewards. The Dungeons opened by the keys will scale in both size and difficulty based on the key used. The Common Css Anchor Keys will open a Dungeon with three different floors/areas and one Boss, the number of floors/areas will increase with the Css of Anchor Key used as will the rewards entailed. The Dungeon will scale with the user Level and size of the party allowed within.
[colpse]I considered the key not much bigger than my hand, "Should I even sell this?" I asked the others causing them to look over.
All three froze in surprise, "What is the Item Css?" Adriana inquired as she visibly restrained herself.
I smiled slightly as she blushed realizing what she had almost done, "Epic." I told her.
Adriana shook her head and muttered something, "No, Marcus will pay you a minimum of ten thousand gold or two million dolrs for it." My mouth dropped open in surprise. Adriana chuckled at my reaction, "You will get a minimum of at least one Epic item, that doesn't include any crafting materials or other item drops which will outstrip what he would spend on it after everything is used and/or sold." Adriana expined as she reluctantly went back to scanning the room, I noted more than one person eyeing the key in my hand.
I considered that information and my own need to fund and grow my own House, "Should I keep it for myself?" I asked her.
Adriana opened then closed her mouth as she considered the question, "Yes, you should unless you don't see yourself needing it in the future." one of the employees working within the annex advised. I blinked in surprise that they would say it since I knew the Auction House got a small cut of all transactions, "Also please put it away, items of that caliber are not common." the man advised as he looked around.
With a thought, the key disappeared into my Inventory, "Is it that rare?" I asked him, not really believing it.
The man sighed, "Any Access Keys that are Epic or above are usually done through private auctions between an intermediary due to the money involved with a member of the Auction House working to assure the item is legit and not a knockoff or fwed. Your companion's offer was legitimate but on the low end of such transactions for that grade, I have seen a Legendary sell for twenty-five million, but the buyers made more than fifty in the end if the rumors were true." the man informed me. That was a lot of money, even after the windfall I got during and after the divorce. "I would recommend you talk to your new Patriarch; Marcus is a reasonable man and will give you an honest offer. If you aren't willing to sell to him, he can arrange the sale through a third party with Merchant to confirm everything and ensure that it all goes smoothly." I chuckled softly but didn't correct him on the dynamic.
I gnced towards Adriana and nodded, "Let's go, I still got to get measured out for the monkey suits." I told her. She nodded and I thanked the man who had given me all the information and in time I would discover if it was true or a lie.
Adriana and the others didn't comment as we headed out of the building and towards the trio of vehicles loitering at the curb and jumped into them, "Ok, you need to grab a pair of underwear for the next visit since they will have you strip down so they can get an accurate measurement." Adriana informed me.
I shook my head and dug through the various bags before finding what I wanted. They had balked at stopping at Walmart, but I had put my foot down on my day-to-day underwear and workout wear, I wasn't going to pay a lot of money for clothing that was going to see a lot of wear and tear. It was one of the few wins, but that didn't mean I didn't have some silk boxers, I had no clue why or when I would wear something like that.
My phone rang again, and I struggled to get out of the pile to retrieve it, "Hello?" I managed to get out.
The voice was feminine, "Is this Aaron Jones?" she inquired as I waved the boxer briefs at Adriana earning a slight smirk from her.
I rolled my eyes at her, "Speaking, how can I help you?" I asked her as I kicked off my shoes.
Adriana blinked and turned to face forward as I stripped off my sweatpants, "Yes I am Alice Baker, an associate from Austin Mr. Sam Williams has informed me that you have moved to Dals and need someone from our offices here to deal with your needs. How can I help you?" Alice asked as I put the underwear on.
I heard the wolf whistles from the driver and Adriana as I covered up, "Everything we talk about is covered in attorney-client privilege, correct?' I got a swift confirmation and continued, 'I went through my Intergration process about four days ago, during that process it triggered an Awakening which made me a Pureblood Vampire. It also revealed my name is not Aaron Jones legally, but Victor Bck. I need all my legal paperwork changed, identification updated, accounts updated, and any other paperwork filed that is necessary. I am currently living at one of Marcus Aldbridge residences and have his protection for the moment." I quickly reported.
Alice didn't speak for a few moments, clearly surprised by what I had told her. "Ok, I am going to have to notify the senior partners, and we will get to work on this, I assume we can send the bill to the normal accountant?" the wyer asked.
I nodded my head, "Yes, for the moment I am keeping my accountant. Sam should have informed him that I survived the process, if you get any questions tell Tom to call me at my new number to crify anything." I told her.
I received a few more specific questions before we hung up, one other thing off the list of things to do. It did make me wonder if I would see Sam again in the near future or even ever again.
