Chapter Eleven: Spring Awakening
"Xiao Yi, Mom will buy you a cell phone this Saturday." Her mother said softly while looking at Lin Ke Yi.
"No need, I'm useless anyway." Lin Ke Yi said as she turned her head.
"It's always more convenient with a mobile phone. From now on, if you have something to do, just call Mom directly, and Mom will feel more at ease." The mother said with a sigh.
"Mom, I'll be more careful next time and won't fall again." Lin Ke said with some difficulty while holding her mother's hand.
Her mother nodded and said
"I'll go cook some noodles for you!" After saying that, he got up and headed towards the kitchen.
Lin Ke Yi knew that her mother would only hide in the kitchen when she was feeling unwell, and if she wasn't mistaken, her mother was now cooking noodles for her while crying.
She thought that as long as she studied hard, she could be filial to her mother.
It seems now that if she wants to keep a low profile in school, she can't be too outstanding.
And if she got a bad score and went back home, how would she face her mother?
She felt she had become contradictory, her hand involuntarily touching the wound on her forehead.
Unconsciously thought of that pale but handsome face.
Just as she thought of him, Lin Ke Yi was startled by herself and hastily shook her head to shake off that terrible feeling.
"Mom, make the soup a bit spicier, I want it spicy." Lin Ke Yi shouted towards the kitchen.
"Wait until your wound on the forehead heals, then mom will cook something spicier for you. For now, just make do with this." The mother quietly returned to the kitchen.
Actually, Lin Ke Yi doesn't really want to eat spicy food now, she just wants to divert her mother's sad emotions.
Mother is a gentle and sentimental person, now she is the only spiritual pillar of her mother.
So the more lively and active she was, the more at ease her mother felt.
"Ke Yi classmate——"
Lin Ke Yi heard someone calling her name and turned around to see Zhang Ju, a classmate who had entered this aristocratic school with her.
"Zhang Yi, good morning!" Lin Ke Yi smiled and greeted him.
"Are you okay?" Zhang Ji asked in a low voice after taking a glance at the wound on Lin Ke Yi's forehead.
"It's nothing, just a bit of bruising." Lin Ke Yi said with a shake of her head.
Sometimes this school still feels a little warm, I guess it's just that the classmates who took the exam together occasionally give her a feeling.
"Those people are not ones we can afford to offend, you'd better avoid direct conflict with them from now on."
"Was it because you knew from the start that it would turn out like this, so you grasped this exam so well?" Lin Ke Yi smiled.
At that time, when Zhang Yi was admitted to this school, her ranking was second, and her score was only two points less than hers.
But in this mid-term exam, Zhang Yi's ranking was 20th in the whole class.
Zhang Yi smiled somewhat awkwardly, looking a bit shy.
