"This... this is a bit much, no?"
My eye twitched as I examined the remains of the battle. What was once a beautiful park - the pride and joy of the city, was now a mere shell of its former self. The smell of ash and blood filled my nose with each breath. It was like getting a free sample from a store, but it wasn't chocolate this time around.
There were numerous crater-like holes spotted everywhere. Not to mention, there lied a big monster corpse on the once green grass.
Now one may be asking, was this the result of my own doing?
No.

Never.
This was power beyond me.
You see, the one who had done such a thing was standing before the corpse. His once generic apperance changing to look quite cool as he heaved out deep breaths. A sword hanged loosely in his hand, stained with red, which matched the grass he stood upon. A golden aura was coated around him, making him look very special. Well then, that was because he was a main character. The one who will stand at the pinnacle of this world.
Now, where was I in all this?
I was quite literally, hidden in the background. The statue that had fallen from the fountain, sometime during the battle, was being used as a cover to hide. Well, it would be very bad for me to be caught.
After all, I am a mob-like character. The thing known as power does not answer my call. Trust me. The attempts at it had only led to embarrassment.
"Huh?"
Still, I can't help but think my normal-like days are over now.
"Oh shit..."
I made eye contact with the main character.
