Chapter Three

I opened my eyes and found out that I am laying on the ground. I tried to stand up but I fell down. My legs still don’t have enough strength. I slowly get up from the ground. When I looked around, I was surprised to see a lot of items scattered around me.

A screen popped in front of me. I clicked yes and the items disappeared one by one. I checked my status while waiting for the items to be collected

To actually think that I was able to level up when I fainted. But why did I just level up just when I fainted and not when I was fighting the goblins? I tried thinking and the only reason I could get it that I would just be able to gather experience point if I am out of combat.

I checked my body and found out that wounds that I suffered is gone. Not even a scratch, especially in the places where I was hit and stabbed by an arrow. But I still feel a little dizzy. Maybe because of too much blood loss.

“Inventory,” I immediately checked it. I was a little excited to see what I got. And it sure did surprised me.

I got a lot of items from those four goblins although their quality is quite bad. I look at the club and decided to equip it. The club popped out of nowhere and it was already in my hands. For some reason, I knew that with my mind I could put it back into the inventory and could mentally call it whenever I need it.

Then I tried equipping the bow and it appeared in my hand. Though I don’t have a quiver to hold my arrows, I could just withdraw it from my inventory. I started to change the bow in my hand to the club.

  “Status Screen.”

Satisfied with my current stats, I finally kept the weapons from hand. I looked over the sky and noticed that the sun is almost setting. ‘Better find shelter,’ I though and started searching.

I walked around the forest for a while when noticed that I am back to where I started my search. ‘Oh no, I am walking in circles,” I thought and then I changed direction. Approximately fifteen minutes later, the forest is getting darker and I start hearing wolves howling.

‘This is bad, it’s starting to get dark,” I thought. I made haste. Any kind of shelter will do as long I could hide from these monsters. An hour later, I have finally found an empty cave. I went inside and made myself comfortable. I took a piece of bread out of my inventory and eat slowly. It’s already dark but it is bright. I looked to the sky.

“This is really a fantasy world. No wonder it’s so bright, there are three moons,” I exhaled, being mesmerized by what I saw. Then I stood up and walk toward the innermost of the cave and found a place where I could sleep.

‘First day here and I find myself at the brink of death,’ I sighed.

“Ah! Ah! Get away from me!”

  “Don’t! Stop it!”

  “Ughhh…”

  “I… don’t… want… to…”

“Huh,” I woke up, breathing heavily. My face sweating a lot. I just had a dream of me being killed by those goblins.

“Huh, hooh. Huh, hoooh,” I breathe in and out slowly, in order to calm my nerves. I stood up and went out of the cave. The sun is up, and I have to find a village now.

I continued to walk, but with what I experienced yesterday, I walk with my guard up. I don’t want to repeat history. And also I have no more potions, so if I do battle, I’m dead.

While I was finding a way out of this forest, I could hear some rustling from the bushes. I immediately hide myself and start to prepare myself for a fight. I equipped the club from my inventory and slowly move towards the sound.
