Chapter Alteration Announcement

I was experimenting with a certain perspective in the first three chapters that did not work out. The Psudo-Bardic Narrator character of Lycria has been removed from the story and the past chapters have been altered to reflect this change. The Following notes the alterations in each chapter:

  Chapter I: Chloe Eccam

The Preamble introducing Lycria has been removed. Phrases and wordings related to the Character Narrator have been altered. A description of the Basic System Statistics has been added at the end of the Chapter

  Chapter II: Ashley Grimm

Lycria's opening statement removed. ECL description moved to the end of the Chapter and expanded upon

  Chapter III: Lily Porter

  Lycria's opening Statement removed.

Due to RR's Minimum Word Count, the rest of this announcement will be dedicated to explaining certain System related things.

  Starter Classes:

The System has four Starter Classes, Martialist and Mage and offer similar progression. Naturalist and Rouge serve as secondaries and offer certain abnormal growth paths in their class trees.

  Class Tree:

The Four Starter Classes have Class Trees. These are essentially lines of progression that is direct and easily divided into the Class Stages. There are other Class Trees, such as the Psionic Class Tree, but these require specific Skills or Titles to gain access to.

  Class Stages:

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

The System has 6 Class Stages; Foundation, Basic, Advanced, Adept, Master and Mythical. All Starter Classes are Foundation Stage and have no requirements. Basic Classes are one stage up from this and require 1 level in all pre-requisite Classes. Advanced requires 3 levels, Adept 5, Master 8 and Mythical 10. For example, we will consider the 'Living Fortress' Class line. From Foundation to Mythical, the Class progresses as:

  Martialist > Defender > Hoplite > Centurion > Juggernaut > Living Fortress

Following with what we said earlier, Hoplite would require 3 levels in both Martialist and Defender. Living Fortress would require 10 levels in all 5 Earlier classes to take 1 level in.

  Skills and Stages:

Skills have certain tags at the start of their description, usually Class and Stage. When a level up is obtained, the skills that can be chosen from depend on the pre-requisite classes of the class you have leveled into and the Stage of that Class. A Skill with the Mage Tag and the Advanced Tag can be taken by any class that is Advanced Stage or Higher and has Mage somewhere in it's progression tree below it. Certain Skills are Generic and can be taken regardless of pre-requisite classes. As a side note, the System Gacha is a strange beast and can sometimes bypass certain requirements for Rare Skills. It is the main way of obtaining Crafting Skills and Psionic Skills for example, as you would otherwise need to already have a Skill with those tags (Or a Title relating to those Skills) in order to take more.

  Class Bonus:

If you were paying some level of attention, you might have noticed the Sub-Class on the Chloe and Ashley's System Screens. This does not affect what Skills can be equipped, as so long as you've learnt a skill, you can always equip it. Instead this is related to Class Bonuses. At level 5 A class grants a Bonus when Equipped (The Last Leveled Class does need to be equipped in either the Main or Sub-Class slots, and you need to have a Main Class equipped in order to equip a different Class as a Sub-Class.) This Bonus changes depending on the Class and is usually stronger for higher Stage Classes. If a Class is set as a Subclass, it's Bonus is reduced by 50%. At level 8, this reduction no longer applies. As an example to work with, all Starter Classes have their Bonus as increasing their own Main Stat by 2.

One last thing worth noting; Any given Class, regardless of Stage, has a Max Level of 10
