Chapter 11: The Cake and the Milkshake!

They got interrupted as was expected, and it was also done in the most dramatic way possible...not.

"Sir, the Enforcers from the GreenHaven Association have arrived and would like to have a word if possible." One of the butlers said as they walked up to Trixie and Papa's table.

They were eating cake and drinking milkshake while some random group of vagrants they picked up from the street were playing Trixie's favorite song, they weren't that good before, but Trixie had fixed them and now they were quite good!

Not as good as her favorite band, but good enough, Trixie may keep them.

"Invite them in, do tell them that we are in the middle of Trixie's birthday and that they must behave." Papa said dismissing the butler of white, he was one of the rowdy old toys that had graduated from the ToyBox.

Trixie... should remember him right? Trixie wasn't sure, she didn't pay that much attention to the toys she discarded and moved away from. He had been fun the first week or so, but after it was kind of boring, so Trixie stopped paying attention to him. So Papa asked if he could use him as a butler or something.

That was about it? Probably? Trixie was sure it was something like that, the plot usually was like that when it was about the slice of lifes of her toys. She needed to watch more theater plays and listen to more radio doramas.

"As you will." The butler of white said bowing to Papa and then to Trixie, she found funny how they all seemed to tremble whenever Trixie extended her hand in their direction, they missed Trixie!

They probably all missed playing with Trixie, she should make tea parties were she played with them, but since she couldn't play with all of them at the same time she would need to limit the amount of toys and former toys she would play with in each party.

"Trixie, remember, do not pull them into the ToyBox or play with them," Papa said once again, this time in a lower voice, "Not till we have no other options."

Right, Papa had said that before that she needed to mind her manners and don't touch the green B-word girl's toys... At least for now, Trixie would have her vengeance!!! (One day)

"Okey-dokey!" Even so, Trixie nodded and answered as thus, she was that kind of good girl after all.

She then discreetly turned to look at the main entrance door, that is to say, Trixie turned her full attention in that direction while eating her cake and drinking her milkshake.

It wasn't that long of a wait, before Trixie could even get her second slice of cake and her third milkshake, the doors to the dance halls were open wide, and like that a group of people walked in.

They weren't wearing green suits, so they were fake greenies!

"Papa, they don't wear green outfits!" Trixie said aloud, getting some snickers from a few of the workers under them.

Most of those in the other tables didn't react that much and continued eating and drinking from their cups and glasses.

It was understandable, half of those were employees of the white pretending to be party attendants, since most of their actual party goers had left when the baddies came first. The other half were Trixie's toys. Or the spare ones, a few made from spare parts even.

Not that they looked any different from normal people, since they were toys specialized in pretending to be normal peeps!

Trixie made sure to get them right, they didn't speak that much though, Trixie hadn't managed to fix the issue of them screaming bloody hell and clawing at their faces, why did all the toys that Trixie wanted to make them realistic always did the same?

One day, she would get the right formula to get her toys acting like real people, but would they even be toys at that point?

"Sorry for the interruption Lord of White," He was totally not sorry, but even so, Trixie didn't say anything, the man wearing a black suit and more jewelry than Trixie had ever seen walked forward.

The peeps behind him all had one hand inside their suit, pockets and one in his pants, was their clothes too loose? Trixie could fix that!

Only... She needed Papa to give the signal that she could play with these new toys that had walked into their turf!

"If you are sorry then bring out Trixie's birthday gifts." Papa said, pointing to a corner of the dance hall, there was a table already brimming with colorful boxes, Trixie's gifts for today.

  Would she get more?

  Yay!

"....We are deeply sorry, Lord White, but we came in a rush, so we weren't able to pick up any gifts adequate for the Little Lady." The man that had walked forward said bowing to Trixie.

  No gifts?

They truly were the baddies of turn...

"So?" Papa said taking a sip from his milkshake, so dignified! "What business do you have with House of White?"

Yeah! What buzz do you have with the White House!?!?!?

"... We received some... troubling information from one of our men," The baddie said, pulling out a piece of paper and offering it to Papa, only... he didn't move forward nor extend his arm five meters so Papa could grab it.

If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

Was Papa supposed to extend his arm? But none of his circles could do that... Papa looked for a second while some of the baddies behind the main baddie giggled. But Papa merely made a motion with his hand and a butler of white stood forward and took the piece of paper and gave it to Papa.

"Hmm.... Suspicions of a High ranking Circle Mage... Suspected eight to Nine Circle..." Papa read the note nodding, "Possible mind manipulation, suspected matter alteration or biological manipulation...?"

  The what and what?

"That is a very troubling accusation, do you have evidence of this?" Papa said placing the piece of paper in the table, Trixie... didn't understand a single thing that was in that paper, it was filled with dots and lines, no words. What was Papa talking about?!?!?!?

"The cypher we use isn't very good to speak specifics, I am surprised you could even decode it Lord of White." The baddie said shaking his head, "Sadly, that was all our informant could transmit before the message was cut short."

So the baddie didn't manage to send all the messages? Good! Trixie hadn't failed!

"And this informant is...?" Papa said looking around as if to search for someone, "I assume somewhere in this dance hall? As you couldn't wait and walked here instead of waiting in the other room we prepared for visitors."

They had another room for visitors? Why did Trixie not know about this!?!?!?

"...Our seers claim that the message was sent from the House of White." The baddie said pointing behind him, but there was no one there? Or no one dressed with a pointy hat and a winding robe anyway, what seer? Trixie saw no seer! She couldn't see the seer!

"From us?" Papa said, looking mildly surprised, then snapping his fingers, he started speaking, "Did we send a message to the Greens?"

The fact that Papa called them as such made a few of them frown, but no one said anything, they got scared! Hah! Serves them baddies!

  Anyway, that was not important.

"No sir, we haven't sent any message as far as we know. We will call the scouts and see if they sent a message, but if they found someone as dangerous as that they should have sent message to us first before sending for..." The one that started speaking was the same butler/knight from before, who after saying his part turned to look down on the baddies, "... reinforcements from other Colroed houses."

A few of the baddies behind the main baddie seemed to want to pull something from within their jackets, and Trixie could almost sense their squiggles stirring.

"I fully trust Sebastian's assessment," Papa said, nodding at that, "But do send a messenger to the watchtowers and the scouts, perhaps they thought sending for help would be faster and their message is on the way."

The Knight nodded and walked out of the dance hall, behind him a few of the knights of white that stood near the wall walked with him, making the baddies frown and seem confused at that.

"Is there any other issue?" Papa said taking another sip from his milkshake, "Or do you wish for a table and drinks? We can prepare one if you wish to stay and celebrate Trixie's birthday, but we have already sung the happy birthday song."

They had? Trixie had no memories of that!

"...Are...are you okay?" The front baddie asked, "You are aware that we are armed, and within shooting distance of your daughter, are you not aware of that?"

Shooting? They brought pew-pews? Would Trixie get more soap bubbles to play with?!?!?!

"Yes," Papa answered, "But we aren't at war at the moment, so there is no reason for you to attack us or my daughter."

Papa answered shrugging, "Unless you are telling me that the house of Green will officially declare war upon the House of White?" As Papa said that all the Knight of White within the hall took a step forward in perfect synch while each of their hands moved to their weapon of choice.

That made the baddies jump slightly, heheheheh, cowards.

"... See?" Papa said smirking, "We have nothing to fear, because you aren't going to attack us anyway."

That made the baddies frown and a few of them even said bad words under their breath! Bad words that Trixie didn't hear because she was a good girl and she didn't listen to bad words from bad people!

"... We... may not be at war," The baddie at the front said nodding, "But our men disappeared within your territory, that gives us carte blanche to act as we want within your territory, the council will side with us if we start attacking you."

Papa nodded seriously at that statement, "True, if you have evidence of your men disappearing in my territory, that would give you enough justification to attack me and get away with it." Papa then stood up and dusted off his pants and jacket, "That is to say, if your men really did disappear within my territory."

  Heheheheh.

"We know they did, you have seen the proof already." The big baddie said frowning, his face spelled his confusion already, "The council will side with us."

They would? Trixie knew they were bad people too!

"Only... I have not seen the proof." Papa said, smiling and lifting the piece of paper, "All I have seen is a piece of paper that comes from one of your stores, probably the one near the park, if I were to guess?"

"THAT MESSAGE IS THE PROOF!" The baddie screamed at Papa for some reason? "What are you playing at King of White?"

And after saying that, the wall into the dance hall opened again, making the baddies at the back (The ones closer to the door) jump backwards and pulling out their pew-pew, Trixie knew they had pew-pews!

"Sebastian?" Papa didn't seem surprised by that and merely nodded at the Knight that had walked in, "What did you find out?"

The Knight didn't turn to look at the peeps that were pointing pew-pews at him and bowed to Papa, "No reports of any Green walking into our immediate area, there were some reports of a few of them lurking around, but since they didn't encroach upon our immediate territory they were left to their own devices."

"So he said," Papa said turning to the baddie whose face was turning red, that didn't look healthy, perhaps he really needed some time in the ToyBox to calm down? "I trust my men more than I trust this piece of paper, so unless you have physical evidence..."

"... So you say that the enforcer of GreenHaven didn't walk into your territory?" The baddie shook his head, "We have evidence of him walking up and staying in one of the houses just outside of this compound!"

And saying so he threw a folder with some papers filled with those weird words that Trixie still struggled to read sometimes (Only sometimes).

"That is not what I say," The Knight who had spoken before refuted the allegation, "They didn't encroach upon our minimum line of tolerance, as today is the Lady's birthday we allowed them to monitor up to the Mansion line, as it wasn't a viable strategy to refuse civilians and people that isn't part of the House of White near our fence."

Ah yeah, Trixie had seen the line, there was too many people wanting to give Trixie a happy birthday present!

"... So because today is that girl's birthday, you allowed our men to stalk up to the fence...?" The baddie repeated, clutching his fist quite fiercely, "And you claim they didn't walk into the compound?"

"That is what our men say yes," Papa nodded at the statement of the baddie, "Unless of course, you have actual evidence of them being within our compound. Undeniable evidence that is, not telegrams, encoded messages that only your men can create. I am even willing to accept the result from a spell from one of your divination spells... So long they are cast here in front of us."

Trixie heard a gulp, someone gulped!

"... And you would refuse us if we asked to look around," The baddie said glaring at Papa, so rude! "Would you not?"

"Absolutely not," Papa smirked even more evilly as he shook his head, "I understand the pain of having your subordinates disappear under your care, I don't mind allowing you all to move within our compound to search for them, so long as you don't mind us going with you."

That seemed to surprise the baddies.

"You do understand that we can't have you suddenly finding something that wasn't there before right?" Papa laughed at that statement he just said, he was enjoying this! Good! A happy Papa was a better Papa! "We would hate for our relationship with another colored house to worsen because this misunderstanding after all."

"...." The baddie seemed stunned at that, "... We will return for today."

"But sir!" One of the baddies behind him raised his voice, but the main baddie punched him and turned to glare at Papa.

Trixie could feel the bad juju coming from his eyes from here! He was truly a baddie!

"Don't think this is over," Said the baddie before turning his back at Papa, rude! "I don't know what kind of deal you put to get such a High Circle Mage under the White Concord, but they can't be controlled by normal people, and as a Fifth Circle Knight, you are a normal human."

"We will take that as the advice you are pretending to give." Papa said nodding, "But I can guarantee you, the highest Circle Knight under the White Concord is myself, as it was reported to the Council."

  *Spit*

The baddie spat! Rude! Dirty! Bad!

"Whatever," He said walking to the door, way past the Knight who had been outside for a few minutes pretending to work, but Trixie knew he had merely waited for a dramatic entry! "We the GreenHaven Association will never abandon our men, so we will find those that are missing, one way or the other."

And like that, they walked out. Trixie followed them with the ToyBox and ToyChest senses till they left the front yard, rude. They were really rude!

"Let's go Trixie, time to open your presents," Papa said turning his attention back to Trixie, were it should have been all this time!

"Yay!" Trixie couldn't wait to see what she had gotten this year!
