Showing off I

After the others had Marc pay for their items, they decided to go to an alley to look at the tapestry, but also because they wanted to see what each of them got in the store. The six decide to put some of their stuff down so they could watch the others show what they got in the store, starting with Kian.

"Well, I got this ring and it can-. You know what, it's better to show you guys instead!" said Kian, after he picked up a small rock over by a dumpster. Seeing Kian do this confused Isaiah, Jash, and Marv, but Marc, on the other hand, was more intrigued by what Kian was about to do with the rock, and Hope was still focused on what the tapestry could mean for the investigation.

"Now, I want this to become a ruby," said Kian while holding the small rock, confusing the others.

"Dude, what's that gonna do?" said Marv, now tilting his head to the side a bit, trying to figure out what was going to happen. Suddenly, the small stone was engulfed by light. Isaiah, Marv, and Jash were excited to see what was happening. Marc was even more intrigued by what was happening, looking at what was happening and taking down notes on what was happening, and Hope had a thinking expression on his face, wondering where in the world this ring came from, and who made it.

If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

After a few seconds, the light dimmed, and the small rock became a bright red ruby, as if it were by instinct, Jash suddenly grabbed the ruby out of Kian's hand.

"Dude, what the hell!" said Kian, still completely shocked at what Jash did.

"You can't particularly blame him." Said Marc is still intrigued by what the ring did, but is still trying to stay calm. When the other heard him say that, the others, apart from Marv, then remembered something about dragons' personalities.

"I don't get it," said Marv, trying to figure out what the others remembered.

"Well, since you surprisingly you don't know this. Dragons in ancient mythology and stories are known for their power, but they are also well known for their greed when it comes to valuable objects. Since Verspilliana takes on their mythological creatures' abilities, we also have to inherit some of their traits," said Hope to Marv, trying to explain why Jash suddenly grabbed the ruby out of Kian's hand.

"So, who wants to show what they got in the store next?" said Isaiah to the rest of the group.
