The tragedy

After Akima’s father’s funeral, Akima and his mother returned home. They spent days in mourning, until a tragic day arrived.

Ayane: Son… mommy isn’t feeling very well. Akima: What’s wrong, mom? Ayane: My head hurts a lot… please, go get a doctor. Akima: Okay, mom.

Akima ran through the streets, desperate, begging and shouting for help.

“Someone help me! My mother is very sick!”

An old man heard him and approached, asking about his mother.

Old Man: What’s wrong with your mother, boy? Akima: She has a terrible headache, sir. Old Man: I have an herb that can make her sleep. Take me to her.

They went to the house, where Ayane was twisting in pain.

Akima: Mom!! Old Man: My God…

Ayane looked at them. Her eyes were bleeding, swollen, almost bursting. Her head was larger than normal.

She kept convulsing… until her eyes burst, and her life ended right there.

The old man panicked and ran away, leaving Akima alone with that horrifying sight.

As Akima cried, Khaos appeared behind him and spoke softly.

Khaos: Come, Akima… I will take care of you. Akima: (crying) Khaos: Come. Let’s go to my house.

Khaos took Akima’s hand and led him away. Along the way, he used calming energy, making the boy fall asleep.

When Akima woke up in Khaos’s house, he felt confused and dizzy.

Akima: Where… where am I? Khaos: In my home, little Akima. Akima: My parents… they… Khaos: Yes, Akima. For now… it’s just you and me. Akima: Are you going to take care of me? Khaos: Yes. Until the time comes. Akima: What time? Khaos: You’ll find out.
