A Reawakener

What is this…Mana!? Dunn questioned while looking at the dark blue coloured aura releasing from Hojoi.

His black coat floated in the air due to the wind produced.

What the? Aldred pondered over the situation. There is only one time…one time when a person can get awakened! But quickly, Aldred realised. The torn parts! Maybe…just maybe, a person can reawaken, and this is the living proof of it!

Indhra's breath hitched. He had only seen such a blasphemous reawakening once before—the chilling spectacle of Hidoi's body tearing open portals to the void.

Awakening happens when a body faces intense mental agony, while adrenaline rushing their streams! Awakening is only possible once! Atleast, that is what people lacking common sense think! But…that is not the case. In a rare scenario, awakeners can reawaken, often enhancing their techniques. To reawaken, one must exceed their trauma with a new one, which caused their awakening in the first place.

Indhra remembered his father's words, recalling his lectures with a disturbed look as if he didn't want to recall.

I see…he reawakened! Dunn quickly understood. This wasn't anything surprising for him, but surely, this was what Dunn had sensed in this warrior kid earlier.

The chaos halted in silence with the loud bang of the wall breaking, covering the eardrums of every warrior.

Labrica crashed into the wall opposite her grand entrance of rubble and dust.

Her body looked crushed, and blood pumped out of her mouth. The weak wheezing sounds could be heard as if she were dying, which indeed was the reason. Atleast, she was weaker than her opponent.

Vapours engulfed her crushed body, trying to heal her.

Shinsu jumped inside the cafe. Smoke and dust engulfed her skin, blinding her.

She quickly felt an immense aura spread across the cafe. It felt—hurt, in agony, as if tragedy was the cause of it.

Her eyes twitched with the dust clearing to see the dark blue aura around the talented reawakened Spector.

No words! No words came out of his mouth; only a movement of his pupils could be seen. His eyes were cornered to look at the Setsu.

Shinsu opened her fist to see the Ring of Folly.

This is an item of Setsu! So I could easily sense it even from a distance, she really didn't know! A growling sound of hatred commanded her to kill her archenemy, but for some reason, she didn't feel like doing it. What would it change? Her mind pondered.

Her eyes widened as she sensed an immense mana around her. She felt the words, Die! Kill! Freedom!

Hojoi appeared in front of her with an unimaginable speed. It was so high that Shinsu couldn't even sense him.

With time ticking fast, she could only do one thing, and that was looking at Hojoi's eyes for a mere millisecond. Hatred burned in them, pupils covered in the desire to bring freedom.

Hojoi raised his arm; for him, it felt like time slowed down. The case was surely different for others. For them, he was moving in 60 frames.

Shinsu didn't notice his hand until the Ring of Folly disappeared from her palm.

She raised her brows, realising her last moments.

Lightning arms grabbed her, as she felt speed.

She fell on the floor beside Dunn below Indhra's body. Indhra stood up first, then lowered his arm to help his wife. Both of their palms made contact as Shinsu stood up.

While standing up, an emerald green Mana covered her body, and leaves like stripes crossed her eyes. A green sword emerged from her hand, made of the Mana surrounding her body. Two green wings popped out of her green mana-covered back.

While this was happening, Hojoi stood there looking at his palm, at the Ring of Folly.

This is the only gift from my parents, I should never leave it! Labrica's words echoed in his mind. His eyes opened wide as he turned to look at Shinsu. The look said everything that had to be said.

Shinsu gulped and gathered her strength.

" Right here, right now, you all are going to be arrested!" Dunn shouted. Silence replied to him. It was enough to haunt the nightmare.

Instead of saying anything, Hojoi dragged his feet on the floor with his face keened to his feet. He turned his side to see a single piece of watermelon on the top of the counter. He replied with his fist clenched.

" Shinsu! Now…we mu-" Indhra got stopped when he looked at Shinsu. His eyes widened as he saw Hojoi in front of her body with eyes of despair.

Without a sign of hesitation, Hojoi grabbed Shinsu's green sword from the tip, wounding himself. Shinsu lost grip due to the sudden appearance. Without her even realising, the green sword turned grey. Shinsu lowered her pupils while quivering to see the sword disappear from its position in mere seconds. She blinked once and looked up to see the grey sword high, with the grip now stolen by Hojoi. Shinsu's green form slowly faded away as the sword appeared in Hojoi's hands.

Hojoi swung the sword without hesitation.

She blinked once, terror filled her eyes.

She blinked twice, hope was lost in them.

She blinked thrice and saw the hope of lightning arm in front of her face.

Blood splattered everywhere as Indhra lost his arm.

" Shinsu!" Indhra's words echoed in her ears with a delay after the piercing of his arm.

Both of them flew back due to the explosion caused by Hojoi's Mana, forcing them to crash into the wall.

Shinsu glanced at the area for some time amidst the dust, then looked to her side to see blood squirting out of Indhra's body.

She rushed as Indhra fell unconscious.

Even though you are a God Armour, heavenly restrictions do hit hard! And yours is truly special. In reality, you're just a failure for being the strongest in the world! That is what it means to be the seventh God Armour! His father uttered the words as Indhra's eyes closed.

Shinsu wrapped a cloth around him, which had a reminiscence of her mana.

She looked to her side to see Hojoi's hateful eyes walking toward her.

A white strap crossed his eyes. Two wings popped out of his back as the grey sword got ready to swing. He dragged the grey long sword on the floor, generating a sound of friction.

Dunn, with a side flip, joined the battle while his eyes shone.

Hojoi left out a breath and held the sword tight, continued by the constant swinging. Dunn dodged all of the attacks and, in return swinged his arms, which were covered in Mana, trying to punch Hojoi. He ducked down after a swing and formed an ice sword, then clashed it with the grey sword.

Shinsu looked at the battle and thought. The wind dive chose him! How…this never happened in fifteen years of me carrying that sword!

She let Indhra rest by the support of the shattered wall behind him and then stood up, knotting her hair back. She turned on her Mana Vision as she got ready.

Dunn, with a backflip, dodged an attack from Hojoi.

Suddenly, many tarot cards surrounded Hojoi, all covered in his Mana. He shot the tarot cards at Dunn and continued by shooting wind bullets with his fingertip. In return, Dunn shot ice crystals to nullify wind bullets and used his sword to cut through the paper cards.

Dunn can't handle him alone! I must join!

Hojoi smashed the aura-covered sword on the floor, shattering his surroundings. Wind started to burst out of the floor below while Dunn evaded all the attacks. Dunn dodged the wind wave from the floor and shooted a ice shard at Hojoi, who in return gave a dull, serious look before shattering it to crystals with a swing of his sword. Another wave of wind attacked Dunn from behind. In return, he turned back and slashed the ice sword to blow the wind away. Suddenly, he felt a hand grab his head.

Hojoi fired Dunn towards Shinsu, who stopped his approach by holding Dunn from behind.

Shinsetsu and Dunn stood side by side, coming to their stance.

" It has been some time since I had this much fun in a battle!" Dunn commented while smirking beside Shinsu.

Hojoi pushed his body forward by blasting his mana on the ground beneath his feet to propel himself forward with his sword dragging on the floor.

Dunn made another sword and tossed it to Shinsu, who caught it in return.

The green and red aura moved opposite each other to attack the grey, who held the swords which were used to attack him.

  " Dunn!" Shinsu shouted.

Suddenly, both the aura pushed Hojoi back, who was trying to evade by using his sword.

Hojoi dropped his feet to the ground with a serious face, anticipating the attacks.

Shinsu dropped a kick, which he blocked. From the other side, Dunn tried to slash, which was dodged by ducking down.

Dunn landed behind to see the waves of punches thrown from both Shinsu and Hojoi. Both of them dodged a few attacks and also got hit by the attacks.

Hojoi gave a stern look while taking a short break from attacking, which gave enough time for Dunn to kick his face. Hojoi flew back, did a backflip in the middle of the air, and landed on his feet to see the duo charging at him.

Tarot cards surrounded him continued by shooting them towards his enemies, which were dodged; some were slashed, and some collided with the bodies, pumping out blood.

Hojoi held his sword with both hands horizontally as Dunn and Shinsu arrived in front of him, while vapours healed their body.

Hojoi used his sword as a stick to evade Dunn's slashes and to attack Shinsu while Dunn got ready. This continued for some time until both Dunn and Shinsu attacked at the same time, punching his stomach, causing him to crash into the wall with blood spewing out of his body through his mouth. Suddenly, a wave of Mana blasted in front of Hojo, pushing the duo back.

The duo came back to their stance for round two as Hojoi walked from the dust and rubble, his body healing with vapours. The look on his face became more serious, like he was getting ready for the actual fight!
