When the Overlay came to Earth all electronics failed and wildlife went through unexplained changes in size and temperament. Whatever each person was holding at that precise moment started to display strange - some might say magical - properties.

  Human society was not ready for a world without electronics, communications and household conveniences. Food, water and warmth were no longer to be taken for granted. Threats appeared from the shadows as the pests and vermin grew to monstrous size and looked at humankind with hungry eyes.
