Somewhere in the world, something was cooking.

It’s amazing how a simple click of a button changed everything. Distances that once took weeks to cross can now be bridged in seconds. Messages that once traveled slowly from one place to another now reach their destination almost instantly.

While most of the world sleeps peacefully under warm sunrises, somewhere else, something is always unfolding.

Life has never really been the way we imagined it. Most of us learn to play it by ear. Others simply live it.

Time-logging my experiences became a reflection of what the future might hold for me.

What you truly desire in life, somehow finds its way to you.

My journey is still far from over.

In many ways, I’m only just beginning.

  And I’m enjoying it.

  Yep — I’m here.

A faint beeping breaks the quiet. A truck backing up.

  It’s 9:00 p.m.

Maybe it’s our neighbor’s truck again. Our parking space could easily fit four cars, but that big white truck always makes him look like the Lord of the Skies.

People are still working outside, fixing the back road that leads to the main street. Dust and rocks rise into the air as trailers rush by, carrying lost and forgotten souls — like balloons drifting away from a child’s hand at the circus.

I still remember seeing our friend looking down at us with a sad, distant look in his eyes that night we came back from my doctor’s appointment.

  But we were happy.

  All of us.

  My test results were positive.

  The treatment was finally working.

  My illness was at bay.

  No relapse.

  Not this time.
