When the Elite Howlers saw their fellow Howlers falling into human traps, they made a run for it.
But how could Datu and the others allow them to run away?
They gave chase, and after a violent clash of fighting and running spanning over a kilometer, the majority of the Elite Howlers were dead.
“Let's get you all to the clinic.” Looking at the injured members of their parties, the three leaders first headed to treat them before discussing today's spoils and consumption of resources.
When the Elite Howlers saw that they had no chance of escaping, they entered a battle frenzy and wildly attacked the humans, which caused many members of the three parties to suffer major injuries of various kinds.
Thankfully, with the help of the healing potions, no one lost their life.
Returning to the city, the three party leaders put their injured members into the clinic and went to take care of the Howler carcasses.
“These don't even cover the cost of the healing potions,” Ricardo complained, looking at the gold coins he got.
“Don't worry, tomorrow we will recover everything,” Datu said, as after killing the Territory Boss, they would make a fortune.
“I think we should take tomorrow off, let them recover. We can't afford to face off against the Supreme Alpha without everyone at their best.” Solomon didn't want to face the Territory Boss before ample preparation.
“But… Fine, we can take this time to gather some information.” Datu wanted to refuse, but seeing the determined look on Solomon's face, he took a step back and suggested going to the Ivy Information Store.
Although they had all the information about the Supreme Alpha, the Howlers’ Territory Boss, they could still get information about some of its weaknesses for the right price.
“You two go do that, I need to take care of some important business.” Without further explanation, Ricardo left.
“What is so important?” Datu and Solomon also didn't linger around after Ricardo left.
They headed for the Fairy Market to restock on supplies and get more information on the Supreme Alpha.

[Ancient Calendar: 5 April 0001]
The next day, after having breakfast, Kenji and the others left the camp to hunt the Howlers.
The day went as usual. They would arrive at the area marked on the map and, with Zhen's gift, easily find the pack of Howlers.
After dealing with the pack, they would move on to the next area and repeat the same process over and over again.
Though there were some variables, like occasional Storms-thorn attacks or the Howlers launching a violent attack before dying, it wasn't anything their party couldn't handle.
Just like that, the day was gone, and they hunted a total of 139 Howlers.

“Let's go, we need to clear the middle region today.”
“Finally, I can go home and take a bath.”
“Forget about the shower, I miss my soft bed.”
Today, Kenji and the others left a little late because everyone was busy formulating a plan to clear the middle region.
Using the treasure map, they kept finding Howler packs and hunting them. Before long, the whole day went by, and the entire region was cleared.
“Let's head back.” Seeing the last remaining dots on the map disappear, Zhen ordered Kenji, Anon, and Joon to return to the camp.

“Datu! Do it before it's too late!” Unable to move because both his legs were severely injured, Solomon could only scream at the top of his lungs.
Even with all the information about the Supreme Alpha, they still underestimated him, which cost them a lot.
Many members of their parties were dead. Solomon and Ricardo were severely injured.
Only Datu was left standing, battling the Supreme Alpha.
“Human, this leader is giving you an opportunity. Leave, and you can save your life. Otherwise, I will kill you along with these ants.” Looking at Datu, who was barely standing up to him, the Supreme Alpha spoke in a demanding tone.
Unlike his dominating stance, deep down the Supreme Alpha was begging for Datu to leave. Currently, he too was at the end of his rope.
He had many internal injuries, his front right leg had long stopped responding, and he could feel his life slowly slipping away.
If he didn't leave now and soak in the Ki Well, he would soon drop dead.
“I…”
“Datu! Don't listen to him, he is in worse condition than any one of us. Just go ahead and land the finishing blow.”
Just as Datu was about to start negotiating with the Supreme Alpha to let all the surviving humans go, Solomon shouted again.
“Human, decide now!” Hearing Solomon's words, the Supreme Alpha started to panic.
The only reason he was looking in his prime without so much as a scratch was all thanks to one of his innate talents.
“Datu, don't let it deceive you, it's all a facade!” Seeing Datu waver, Solomon again shouted at the top of his lungs.
However, Solomon's desperate shouts were hardly having an effect on Datu.
As he found it hard to believe that the Supreme Alpha, who hadn't bled a single drop during the entire fight, would be in worse condition than him.
His right arm was broken, his ribs had multiple fractures, and blood was constantly dripping from his forehead.
“Datu, do you really think if he wasn't injured, he would be willing to let any one of us go?” Ricardo spoke as he regained some strength after drinking a Grade 3 Healing Potion.
His rival’s words woke Datu up. Right, how could the Supreme Alpha be in perfect condition when he had clearly felt many of his sword attacks piercing its skin?
“Dammit! I will do it!” With his trembling body, Datu activated [Blood Burn], a D-rank skill he bought for desperate times.
[Blood Burn] burns the user's lifespan for a minute of a massive power burst.
A red aura from deep within him was activated, and in the blink of an eye, Datu's strength increased by a few folds.
“Die!” As his strength increased, Datu charged at the Supreme Alpha with his life on the line.
As the human approached him, the Supreme Alpha arrogantly lifted his left claw, intending to put him in his place.
But Datu dodged the attack, leaped high into the air, activated the runes on his blade, and plunged his sword into the Supreme Alpha's skull.
The Supreme Alpha, who had looked dominating like a mighty king, dropped dead to the ground.
