My name is Fel,

  and near the corners of the Sunlit Kingdom the birds sang as the wind let out a hum in my ears.

  I sat upon a stone looking off into the sandy shores of the beach that my feet would sink into as I approached the waves.

  The feelings of ease would wash over my skin while I played with my child in the water.

  “Adonis! Haha,

  you can't just jump on me like that you'll drown your poor mother”

  I cheerfully laughed as he launched himself toward me like a rocket landing me into the shallow water.

  As I fell backward I pulled him into my watery embrace.

  “Mom! Let go!”

  He said before pushing off of me,

  like that we played together for a while longer before he went off to catch fish.

  “I'll see you later mom!”

  He said running away while waving goodbye back to me. I would respond with a warm smile and wave of my own.

  Adonis searches for fish while his mother waits for him,

  “I gotta catch a big one this time!”

  Adonis thinks to himself as he delves into the water.

  Later when he comes back above the water he makes his way to me.

  “MOM! I CAUGHT A BIG ONE!”

  He said smiling ear to ear.

  When he’s come into arms length I pat his head lovingly

  “Oh yeah Adonis?”

  “yeah thats what I just said isn't it?”

  he verbally pricks at me in response

  “Hey young man! I was just… yaknow.. nevermind!”

  Annoyed but happy, I flick his forehead lightly.

  “OW! Why are you flicking me?”

  He said with a frown as he began walking back to our nearby home.

  I follow with a smile

  “You are my son are you not? I'll do whatever I want as your mom”

  I ruffle his hair affectionately before running off.

  “That's not how that works and you know it!”

  he says as he begins his chase of me to do what?

  Probably a whole bunch of nothing other than some whining.

  The sun began to dip down into the horizon giving off a gentle orange hue.

  I tuck Adonis into bed before sitting beside him,

  my mind coming up with what bedtime story to tell him tonight.

  Curiosity in his eyes he looks up at me expectantly as the stick of wax on the desk beside the bed continues its slow burn,

  and with that I begin my story time.

  Fel: “Before you were born me and your father were travelers, we would travel the world with a group of friends. We would go everywhere in this massive world, journeying far and wide from the famous Waterfalls of Lunaria to the Cliffs of Velheim I've told you about countless times. We saw many places, places to fear and places to be in awe from the sheer beauty of them, but you know what the best part was Adonis? The best part was that I could share those memories with them. The world is big my dear boy, there are terrible terrible people out there who want to hurt you and call you cruel things, but don't worry you will first and foremost always be my dear son”

  By the time I finish? it seems he's already passed out under the covers.

  After leaving a kiss onto his forehead which he smiled at,

  I make my way to the door before slowly closing it and using some wind magic to blow out the burning candle.
