Prologue

My name is Josephine von Konrow — or at least, that was my former name.

Now I go by Dolores. Actually, scratch that.

My real name is <>. I lived in [?????], and now I've been reincarnated into this world as Josephine.

She is the villainess of the novel I once read: "How to Live as the Black Swan of the Cursed Ducal Family."

True to its very long title, it was your typical revenge-regression novel. The main character, Adele, seeks revenge on everyone who wronged her before her regression. Unfortunately for me, Josephine was the prime suspect behind her suffering.

By the time I possessed this body, the story was already halfway through — which meant Josephine had already sown the seeds of her own destruction.

Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.

I did my best to change my fate, little by little.

But no matter what I did, the bad reputation stuck.

Still — because I mended my ways and quietly pulled a few strings behind the scenes, I managed to reduce my death sentence to banishment as a nun in the countryside. Much to Adele's displeasure, of course.

And honestly? Stripped of my noble title, cast out, written off as an outcast?

  It's the best.

I spend my days living leisurely in the countryside as a nun. Truly the dream.

"Sister Dolores, someone is calling for you!!"

  Ah~ I can't hear you~

A young sister burst into the room, gasping for breath.

"They said if you don't show up, they'll destroy the monastery!"

[The creator god Xipe laughs at the current development.]

[Eros is excited by the current situation.]

[Tyr is silently sipping coffee in the corner, watching.]

[Arte is anticipating new works she will create.]

[Hecatia is thinking of a way to kill them.]

[Loki advises you to play along — while Thor hits him in the head.]

[Surtr watches eagerly as your story unfolds.]

[You have earned 1,000 Faith Points!]

Rage was boiling violently beneath Dolores's breath.

  'These fuckers...!'

Maybe she should have stayed quiet and accepted her fate as the villainess after all.
