Chapter 35: True Awakening of the Void Eye

Winay remained seated on the floor, continuing to absorb the energy from the Void Resonance Stone.

Streams of Void energy flowed steadily into his body.

His exhausted soul energy quickly recovered.

But the strange sensation in his right eye continued to grow stronger.

An intense itching sensation spread through the eye.

  Winay clenched his teeth slightly.

  “What is happening…?”

The feeling was similar to what he experienced during the trial grounds, but this time it was much stronger.

  “Wait…”

“The energy I’m absorbing from the Void Resonance Stone feels different.”

“The energy from the stone is flowing through my body as if it already belongs to me.”

“The itching sensation is similar to before… but manageable.”

“Let me check what’s happening with my eye.”

  Winay paused for a moment.

“If I guide the energy the same way Ayaril taught me when I awakened my Void Eye…”

“Will my right eye awaken as well?”

At that moment, he remembered Ayaril’s words.

Ayaril: “Your Void Eye awakening is not complete. It still lacks many aspects.”

  Winay nodded slowly.

“So my Void Eye awakening was incomplete.”

“That means before guiding energy to my right eye… I should check the already awakened left eye.”

  He focused.

  “First… condense my soul energy.”

  Then he paused.

“Wait… this time I don't have to condense my soul energy since I already have Void energy.”

“I should circulate the Void energy absorbed from the resonance stone.”

“This might hurt like last time… but it should work.”

Winay began circulating the energy toward his left eye.

The moment the newly absorbed Void energy touched it—

  His left eye opened automatically.

The pupil turned dark purple, glowing faintly.

A tiny star-like dot appeared inside the pupil.

Then the eye slowly closed again.

  Winay inhaled sharply.

  “This energy…”

“I can actually see my own energy now.”

“Before, I could only sense it.”

“And I can see it even with my eyes closed.”

  “That wasn’t possible before.”

  He slowly opened his eyes.

  For a brief moment—

  His vision flickered.

The surroundings of the third floor appeared distorted.

Thin strands of energy filled the entire space.

Lines of light connected the floor, walls, and ceiling.

  Winay froze.

  “What… are these?”

  He blinked once.

  The vision returned to normal.

Then the strange sensation surged again.

But this time it centered around his left eye.

A faint pulse of Void energy spread outward.

Winay closed his eyes and focused.

After a few seconds, the sensation faded.

  He opened his eyes again.

This time his vision remained stable.

  But something had clearly changed.

Winay activated his Void Eye instinctively.

  The result surprised him.

Previously, Void Eye allowed him to see energy flows and cores.

  But now—

He could see much deeper structures.

The entire floor appeared like a network.

  Energy channels connected everything together.

Hidden inscriptions were visible inside the walls.

Even the pathway leading to the fourth floor appeared faintly before him.

  Winay inhaled slowly.

“So this is what a complete awakening feels like.”

“The Void Resonance Stone enhanced my Void Eye.”

  He thought for a moment.

“Now I’m curious what would happen if my right Void Eye also awakens.”

  “But that might be difficult.”

“With the energy from this stone, I can tell that awakening the Void Eye requires pure Void energy.”

“If I want to awaken the other eye…”

“I may need more than one Void Resonance Stone.”

  Still, something felt incomplete.

“It feels like there is still a small void inside me.”

  Winay shook his head.

“There’s no point thinking about that now.”

“Ayaril said this place would be very beneficial for me.”

“That means there might be more opportunities here.”

“First, I should finish this floor.”

Winay activated his Void Eye again.

This time he noticed something unusual.

  Above the broken core chamber—

A thin thread of energy extended upward.

  “That wasn’t visible before.”

He followed the energy strand with his gaze.

It connected to a small floating symbol high above the floor.

  The symbol flickered faintly.

  Winay narrowed his eyes.

“Is that some kind of recording mechanism?”

The voice from earlier echoed faintly in his mind.

  “This is noted.”

  Winay nodded slowly.

“So the ruins are observing every participant.”

  “And recording their achievements.”

He looked back at the floating symbol.

  “If that’s true…”

“Then someone—or something—is monitoring these trials.”

  Winay stood up.

The Void Resonance Stone had already dissolved into his body.

His energy felt much more stable.

  He flexed his fingers.

  “Good.”

“My spirit energy consumption should be lower now.”

Winay looked toward the far side of the third floor.

With his enhanced vision, he could clearly see the hidden entrance to the fourth floor.

  “So that’s the entrance.”

  He began walking toward it.

  But suddenly—

  His Void Eye reacted again.

  Winay stopped.

  “…What?”

Beyond the door, he sensed a strange fluctuation.

Unlike the previous floors, the energy there felt wild and unstable.

  “The fourth floor…”

“It doesn’t feel like the previous trials.”

A faint smile appeared on his face.

  “Well.”

“That just makes it more interesting.”

Winay suddenly sensed other energy signatures around the ruins.

  “Oh…”

“Looks like the other participants are reaching the third floor.”

  He focused with Void Eye.

Participants who entered through the Second Door:

16 entered originally. (11 from temple of creation, 4 from Council, 1 independent participant)

Only 12 remained. (9 from temple, 3 from council)

looks like 4 participants are already eliminated

  Participants from the Fourth Door:

15 entered. (11 from temple of destruction, 4 from council)

  13 remained.

  2 eliminated (2 from temple)

  Participants from the Fifth Door:

  All 6 remained.

  Participants from the First Door:

  All 5 remained.

  Winay shrugged slightly.

“Looks like everyone is doing fine.”

“Well… it’s not really my concern.”

  At that moment—

All remaining participants appeared on the third floor.

They immediately noticed a single figure standing ahead.

Young Master Meren from the Black Sand Corporation narrowed his eyes.

  “Wait…”

  “Is that someone standing there?”

“How did he reach here before us?”

“And… is he standing in the air?”

They couldn’t see the hidden pathway leading to the fourth floor.

  Meren frowned.

  “Aster.”

  “Stop him.”

  His bodyguard rushed forward.

  But the moment he moved—

A massive Earth Golem emerged from the ground.

  Before Aster could react—

  He was crushed instantly.

  And teleported outside the ruins.

  A rule appeared.

Rule 1: Defeat the Earth Golem

The third floor divided into four separate zones.

  Meren’s eyes widened.

  “What just happened?”

  “Why was Aster eliminated?”

  He turned to his subordinate.

  “Roster.”

“Find out who that person is.”

  Roster observed carefully.

“Young Master… it seems he already cleared the third floor.”

“That’s why he can move forward.”

  Meren’s expression darkened.

  “How did he clear it?”

“There must be something he knows that we don’t.”

  He smiled coldly.

  “I want him.”

“Once this exploration ends… bring him to me.”

  Roster nodded.

  “As you wish, Young Master.”

But inside his mind he thought:

If I remember correctly… that boy was speaking with High Priest Rexana.

I should confirm that before making any move.

Meanwhile, the other participants began fighting the Earth Golems.

Those from the First and Fifth Doors faced a single golem.

Those from the Second and Fourth Doors faced three golems.

Winay ignored the chaos behind him.

  “So this is the entrance.”

He placed his hand on the door.

  Ancient mechanisms activated instantly.

  Words appeared in the air.

  Third Floor Cleared.

  Access Granted – Fourth Floor.

  The massive door slowly opened.

  A dark passage revealed itself.

  Winay stepped forward without hesitation.

And disappeared into the Fourth Floor.
