Prince Arthur Boreal got a letter. Not addressed to him but to his personal maid.
"Madeline. It seems that our young Baron Marcus is need of your services." He said to the young woman at the door.
Madeline West was a quiet beauty, if you didn't listen too hard to her muttering. Her golden eyes showed off her Blessing of Un, the armament goddess of war and armor. She was not quite a Knight Paladin due to the fact that she generates Holy Aura on her own, instead of gaining it from her patron.
Her bored stare changed slightly to a soft smile. The first line of the letter was 'Stop reading this letter, you useless prince. It's for Madeline.'

Nicholas Belfast, or just Nicholas now, was served the official paperwork involving his disownment
"You knew this was coming." A woman's voice whispered in his ear.
"I know," He sighed as he pulled out Marcus' letter. "It still hurts, though."
The Belfast family is a generation Knight family. For 15 generations, the Belfast's served king and country in great wars of conquest. Nicholas was once a Knight as well, but he gave up his Aura in exchange of the Mage path. Making him and outcast.
"Are you going?"
"Of course." He answered like it was obvious. Looking at their shadows, a woman was leaning her head on his shoulder. But nothing seemed to cast the shadow.

Solus Hargrave was burnt out. For the past two years she had been working as a bookkeeper of the Hadden Mage Tower. She didn't just manage the finances but also inventory, spell books, and research notes of the whole tower.
She believed that her research in runic etching and monuments on natural living materials would be able to launch her into some deep and influential waters. But her boss was an asshole who thought that women shouldn't be working on 'complicated' things.
She has poisoned and cursed him since he made that comment, albeit discreetly, and she would lie and say she didn't learn anything during her time here.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
She was the silent manager. She ran the books. She controlled material as well as cash flow. If you needed something, you needed to make sure you didn't piss her off.
She had been pondering this letter from her junior. It was an offer to run a Mage Hall once it was built. If she came in person she could pick where it would go. Marcus was her junior of two years. Her, Marcus, and Nix were the only reason the Rune class wasn't shut down.
"This is going to be interesting...What's this about Dew Roses?"

Viscountess Melanie Vim was distressed. She just got a disturbing letter telling her all about how her father ran away and her youngest sibling us now rebuilding the town from scratch. He was asking for money to pay the workers so that more don't leave.
It was indeed sad. But she couldn't gather too much without her husband asking why. She'll have to send some letters to her sisters so that they could pool their resources.

"Hello everyone." Marcus started. "Thank you for gathering today. I am here to ask for your help. Look around you. Look at your houses, look at the roads. They are facing ruin."
"I have decided that this can not stand. It will cost too much to repair what is broken here without everything falling apart. So I am going to start construction on a new city for us. As many of you may have noticed, the nearby river is purified and the plants are growing like crazy now. We can eat and drink again."
"But now we need to live!" His voice rose in conviction. "We need homes and roads, a new smithy, farmers young and old to keep up with accelerated growth. And in time, I have plans for a school and a Mage Hall. No more will we import what we should already have and no more will worry about the poisonous water."
"Who's with me?!" He yelled as he raised his fist.
The crowd cheered around him as the sun started to set.
"Tomorrow, we build!"

The Dean of the Holdstead academy ,Evan Avery, took a deep breath as he gazed out his office window. Something fundamental changed in the world. Something caused the spirits to buzz with excitement. His second favorite student sent a letter wishing him well and asking for him to check his notes.
The Allen territory is going to get much more lively if this rough map is anything to go by. It seems that a Mana rich monster land will come to be if his pupil can't figure out the feedback loop problem.
But this didn't really affect his immediate vicinity.
He saw with his [Mystic Eye] that Elena Drapnir figured out the way. She was a Knight as well as a Mage. He could see the molten orange Aura contrast with her blue Mana ring. Didn't she have two when she entered?
The spirits that floated around her looked more solid, instead of the different colored mists he usually sees. He could faintly make out a wolf cub and a phoenix chick?

The prince and his maid left the castle, Nix packed up his gear, Solus put in her notice at work. All with a destination in mind. Some looking for work and one looking forward to the young baron falling on his face.
But their lives are going to change for the better.
Maybe.
