🌀 Chapter 7 – “A Quiet Day, A Loud World

The sun bathed the streets of Konoha in golden light, but tension simmered beneath the surface.

Naruto, dressed in a simple hoodie, walked side-by-side with Hinata, who carried baby Yuta close to her chest in a soft sling wrap. The baby slept soundly, his head gently nestled against her heartbeat.

Sasuke trailed behind them, stoic as always, carrying Ryouta in a sling of his own—awkwardly, but carefully. Sakura stayed close, keeping an eye on both father and child, her hand occasionally brushing Ryouta’s head with a warm smile.

It was their first outing as a group—one month since adopting the boys.

  Naruto:

“Finally… some fresh air. Feels weird not chasing bad guys or fighting gods.”

  Hinata:

  soft giggle

  “This time, we’re just parents.”

  Sakura:

“You say that like it’s easier.”

  Sasuke:

  “Hn. It’s not.”

As they strolled past shops and vendors, some villagers bowed out of respect.

But others... kept their voices low, hiding sneers behind fake smiles.

“Those are orphans, right? And Naruto adopted one?”

“I heard Sasuke did too. Is this some redemption act?”

“Can we even trust children born from who knows where?”

Naruto’s ears twitched. Sasuke’s jaw tightened.

But it was Yuta, asleep in Hinata’s arms, whose left eye fluttered open briefly—revealing the Shinseigan, a deep pink hue with a blooming lotus at its center.

For a moment, time slowed. Thoughts spilled into his mind from the crowd like whispers in a storm.

  “They don’t belong here.”

  “Monsters raising monsters.”

His right eye blinked open—the Tenseigan glowing softly. No one noticed as a near-invisible force pulsed out, knocking the whisperers back with a quiet shove. They stumbled, confused, looking around as if a gust of wind had hit them.

  Hinata didn’t even blink.

  She just whispered:

  Hinata:

“…Good boy. You’re already protecting your family.”

They settled at the far end of Ichiraku Ramen. Teuchi grinned widely.

  Teuchi:

“Well if it isn’t the village’s most chaotic family! Two babies already?”

  Naruto:

“Oi, come on, old man! Don’t roast us yet—we’re just trying to eat.”

Hinata sat with Yuta still in her arms, feeding him gently from a bottle. Sakura did the same for Ryouta, while Sasuke awkwardly looked away every time the baby locked eyes with him.

  Sakura:

  teasingly

“He always stares at you like that, you know?”

  Sasuke:

  “…It’s unnerving.”

  Naruto:

  smirking

“He probably sees himself in you, teme.”

  Sasuke:

  mutters

  “Hope not.”

Everyone chuckled. For a moment, it felt like peace.

As they returned home, villagers watched quietly—no one daring to speak.

But Yuta's Shinseigan pulsed one last time.

  He had seen everything.

Hinata noticed the faint flicker in his eye and kissed his forehead.

  Hinata:

“They don’t matter. What matters is… you’re safe. And we love you.”

Meanwhile, Ryouta yawned, stretching in Sakura’s arms. Sasuke glanced down and, for a moment, smiled ever so slightly.

  Sasuke:

“…Maybe I’m not as broken as I thought.”

The six of them walked together, the silhouettes of two new futures resting gently in their arms.

And as the sun dipped below the horizon, even the village’s doubts couldn’t shadow what had begun:

  A new legacy.
