It is a hot day, Haykel is flat in the wagon, Zilial is trying to read the same book that Vildan is reading. Vildan didn't care, he even leaned the book a bit so Zilial also could read.

  Haykel tries to lift herself up, she uses her mangled arm "Ow" she falls. She uses her other arm to lift herself. She walks toward the front of the wagon and sit near Javier, the driver.

  Haykel looks at the horses "Do you have any interesting stories Mister Javier?" Her arm itches.

  Javier laughs "Sure I do have some stories to tell kiddo" He rubs his beard.

  Haykel play with her hands "Can you tell me? I'm really bored right now."

  "Well sit thigh and listen"

  The wagon crash against a rock, but keep moving forward.

  "Years ago I was an adventurer, it was the era of the conquering, I remember my group , we took contracts to clean caves, for miners, new settlements, anything, we explored faraway in Klois, but we expanded the adventure to whole Mailar."

  Haykel plays with her legs.

  "Anyway I remember my companions Fremntir, Maikal, Gioven, Dimdal... I remember my position clearly still. I was in charge of the reactive defense, trying to maintain the equip a float using my shield and throwing random chemical to any close monster."

  Haykel is focused in Javier, moving back and forward "Do you remember any monster trip"

  "Oh yeah, i remember lots of monsters... let me tell you about the Naga hunt. We were told we had to kill one in a forest in the region of Sielter far north of Klois"

  "I still remember that day, the team were given a contract to kill the Naga, she has been killing people around the zone, even some nasty kidnappings."

  The horses make a sound.

  "When we entered the forest searching for it nest, we didn't even need to search for it, there was hundreds of bodies impaled on trees. The smell was awful, I remember Dimdal our medic puking from the sight."

  Haykel questions "Why a Naga will kidnap people? That's seems a bit complex for a monster"

  "Nagas use a living creatures for nesting, they put their eggs inside an alive creature. They try to maintain the creature alive by force feeding water and meat, and then the children are born, and they devour the creature. The problem was, this Naga choose humans as nesting, instead of a regular bears or boars."

  Haykel recoils "Eww that disgusting"

  "Yea that's pretty mess up" Javier laughs "Don't worry tho kiddo, there is no Nagas in the region of Klois, years ago me and my team made sure of that."

  Javier get silent "I remember, we tried to ambush the Naga, but she was too big, it killed Fremntir, soul be forgotten I beg... We managed the kill the creature, the person in the nest was dead, we burned the nest and destroyed any other eggs laying around"

  Javier coughs trying to hold himself.

  Haykel can't respond.

  "Anyway, sorry for that. With my team later we made a coalition, we joined another teams to do a clean group from the region of Klois, were we now. We killed every single Naga, baby, egg, even ones jailed. It was nasty, Illegal even. But we pushed forward. So everyone can be safe."

  Haykel leans a bit "Why kill the all? Ain't also animals"

  Javier look down a bit "My team was angry, we wanted revenge... I don't know if was the correct thing to do, but, all those bodies... Fremntir... It was too much for a person to handle let an alone a king to understand." He pauses "I'm sorry kiddo that got too dark" He laughs. "Let me tell you a random piece of data I know"

  Haykel looks at Javier "Don't worry Mister Javier I understand"

  "Eventually if you go in an adventure or something, even in Hontel, you will find white powder mixed with hard pieces of shell on random places, or you will feel like a rock falling into a roof, you will look up, you won't see nothing. Probably is not a bird it's a Mirbeloon"

  Haykel moves from side to side "What is a Mirbeloon sir?"

  "It's a creature a really strange shaped creature, that has a shell like exterior, I cannot explain his shape, but I know its like a honeycomb sticks shaped with spikes. That powder does a really nice Wine drink."

  Haykel is confused "I have never heard of that"

  "Of course not! They are a legend, I saw one fall, he was broken! but he fell into a lake, and we were there to see it, we dived into the lake and grabbed the strange creature. I assume is a star when it dies. But some others just told is a beast like any other..."

  "Anyway a rich person bought the beast. We still haven't see the beast in a book, so, it's my own little legend" He laughs.

  Javier leans into Haykel "If you see a cat that has more than one tail. Stay the hell away from it, It's a warped cat. He will kill you." Javier goes back into his position.

  Haykel leans back, completely stun "Okay."

  The smells at ocean flooded nearby, the ocean was at the south extending to the infinite.

  Javier says to Haykel "Oh look its time." From the right, the ocean is visible. In the far horizon they could see massive walls and a single castle with two towers further up than the whole city.

  Haykel smells something "What is that smell?"

  Javier laughs "It's ocean kiddo. First time?"

  Haykel stands to see the ocean better "Yeah..." Haykel could see ships from very faraway. "I tough the ocean was just a big puddle, but is too big"

  The sun reflected in the waves, seagulls made noise from far away.

  Javier smiles "If you go through the ocean to the east, you will find Foirtgrall a cold wet continent"

  Haykel observes the massive ocean "How long is a trip on a ship"

  Haykel eyes shines looking at the ocean, losing herself on her mind.

  Javier laughs "Six months probably, if the sea let you arrive there."

  Haykel moves on reverse and sits "That's to long, lost my interest. Thank you."

  At the same time...

  Vildan is reading his book, Zilial is also reading the same book. Haykel walk to the front of the wagon and sit with Javier. Javier start telling his stories to Haykel.

  The wagon inside is silent, there is only the sound of flipping pages and breathing.

  Vildan ignores Haykel moving "There he goes again with their old stories".

  Vildan looks at Zilial. He closes his book with one hand.

  Zilial notices, he look nervous.

  Vildan look at Zilial with a clinical look "What about you? I'm aware of you being an academic doctor, but tell me, what your group actually do."

  Zilial jumps a bit back retreating to the corner "Ehh well, I already told you guys, we do extermination jobs and such."

  Vildan red eyes looks trough Zilial "I recognize a liar when I see one. You weren't abandoned do you? It doesn't make any sense abandoning a doctor in a specialized group"

  Vildan taps with his finger into the floor.

  Zilial looks to the side, he starts sweating "I don't know what are you talking about, it was a mistake"

  Vildan leans "The fact that you run out of a moving wagon for a stupid tortoise game, make me assume. They lost you, and you got lost in the forest and once you managed to go back to the road. They were gone."

  Vildan locks into Zilial eyes.

  Zilial looks down. Vildan gets close "And yet you put my friend in danger" His eyes shine slightly red. "Think before you act. Her story hasn't even start, and because someone like you, she is already harmed." He scratches the board with his other hand, making a permanent dent on the wood.

  Zilial looks down on shame "I'm sorry, I always try to do my best, but I can't control myself." He tries to stop Vildan with his hands.

  Vildan breaths, and regain his composure. He sits back and open his book "Think about the people, your friends, if Haykel was able to give an arm for you, I assume your friends would have done something similar"

  Zilial grabs SpeedDemon and hugs him. He retreats into the corner "It took me 2 days to get out of the forest, There was this monster following me, and I just ran deeper and deeper into the forest. I'm sure that my friends think I'm dead. I know is my fault, but, I'm coming back."

  Zilial start crying "I miss Lirik, Dorse and Robert."

  Vildan looks down in shame, and back into the book. "Instead of thinking on what you did, think on what you can do now. Look at me, I'm no longer human, but I don't care. I will become a player in Hontel"

  There is silence in the wagon.

  Vildan kick Zilial trying to get his attention "Be grateful for her and she being this dumb, she won't even see your as problematic."

  Zilial looks at Vildan slowly "I will do my best!"

  Vildan look at his book "To be such a simpleton should be amazing." He smiles.

  Zilial Stands "Too much dramaaa" He elongates his back, and his arms "That was a nice little cry! I will amend my mistakes" He points at Vildan "I promise!"

  Vildan flips a page "Just be sure not being abandoned again next time. There might not be a next time."

  The walls of the city were towering nearby. There is cannons on top of the walls, armored guards walking and watching for any nearby flying monster. Each tower in the wall has a beacon made to be burned signaling danger.

  The external walls are massive iron gate doors. For complete closing of the city in case of emergency. The walls have tiny vertical windows, so archers and crossbows could fire to the ground. Ballistas are paired with cannons.

  In the arc of the first wall were spaces for throwing rocks and hot oil to any invader. The city is ready for an attack 24/7.

  The wind crashes with he walls, making a strange ominous sound.

  Haykel ask to Javier "Why does this city needs so much defenses, are monster that aggressive here?"

  Javier respond "The only other thing more dangerous than a monster is a person Haykel. Remember that."

  Haykel respond "Scary. I will remember that."
