For dinner, we grabbed some Tauros Burgers from the local burger joint. Basically, a teriyaki flavored cheeseburger with fries and a soda. The food in this world is pretty good, and most of it is a mix of Pokémon and animal. Jenny ordered the same thing I did, and we headed back to the station. As we were walking, people kept pointing at us and muttering things to each other. Gossip exists in every reality and world too I guess. “Sorry, everyone is probably talking because you are with me” Jenny said looking embarrassed. “Let them talk, I’m the lucky one getting to eat dinner alone with you” I said with a wink. Jenny almost stumbled a little and blushed looking down as I chuckled. “What a nice sunset” I said taking a minute to appreciate the beautiful weather. “Huh? Oh yeah, it is pretty” Jenny said finally looking back up at me.

  When we got to the station, we let out all our Pokémon who could fit, and I let Tremor out in the front of the station. First I gave all the Pokémon their dinners including Jenny’s. Then I went back outside “sorry you don’t fit inside any of the buildings buddy, but it’s dinner time and we need to feed you as many minerals as possible to get your skin and movement back to where they should be” I said laying down his plate of nutrients and minerals. “Steeeeeel” Tremor said as he gobbled up the plate and slowly began to move around the building so his head could lay by the front door. “All right, everyone’s fed now except us” I said grabbing our food and laying it out. Jenny had changed back into her uniform in case there were any emergency calls, and grabbed her dinner. “I’ve never had to question someone about something like this. How and where should we start?” Jenny asked sitting down. “Well it all started” I said before all of a sudden there was a loud bark. “Spitz is something wrong?” Jenny asked. “Be not afraid child of my world, but I am using Spitz’s body to speak with you two” Spitz’s body said. “I KNOW THAT VOICE!!!” I yelled pointing at Spitz. “Yes Austin, it’s me again. I am the voice that brought you from your world to this one” the mystery voice said.

  “Arceus right?” I asked again. “You do not need to know who I am or what I am. All you need to know is what your purpose is for this world. I am here to help explain to Jenny why you are here, and how she can help” the voice said. “Me?!?!?” Jenny exclaimed pointing at herself. “Yes dear girl, I need your help. Austin needs your help. The World of Pokémon needs your help” the voice said to Jenny through Spitz’s body. “I’m just a local police officer, just an Officer Jenny. How could I possibly help?” Jenny said looking down. “You are not just an Officer Jenny, you want to be a Pokémon Trainer and explore the world, correct?” the voice said looking at Jenny. Spitz was sitting and his eyes were glowing red as he stared into Jenny’s soul. “I do, but I’m not sure if I am strong enough to be a Pokémon Trainer like Austin is” Jenny said motioning towards me. “Austin has been training Pokémon, watching Pokémon, and playing Pokémon games since he was 6 years old. His secret is that he comes from a world where there are no physical Pokémon. The World of Pokémon is a cartoon, a game, a hobby, and just something to do in his world. He has played in The Kanto Region at least 2 dozen times from what I can see in his memories” the voice said to Jenny. “Austin, is it true? You come from another world?” Jenny asked finally looking at me again. “Yes, I am from a world where Pokémon are a cultural phenomenon. You are a character in the television show, and maybe in the Manga? Sorry I didn’t read the Manga or Light Novels really. In the television show, you are chasing a trio of famous Team Rocket Members when one of the characters named Ash Ketchum runs into you. You don’t really have a role in the show otherwise. Other Officer Jennys are in other episodes. That episode should be about 5 years away if I am correct?” I said admitting everything to Jenny.

  “Jenny, Austin was brought here to rescue the forgotten, the abandoned, help encourage those the world has left behind. Look at his Pokémon, without any instruction from me, he has taken five neglected and disposed of Pokémon and has already been training them to be better than Pokémon that should be much stronger than them” the voice said gesturing to my team. “Jenny, I want you to stop the unjust, uncover the dark secrets of this region, and remove the filth from the system. To that, I need you to be the strongest you can possibly be. Austin has already started helping you understand what a strong team looks like. If you plan to go with Austin next year, you will be fighting more than gyms, you will be fighting the powers that hold this region. Do not worry about deciding now, but think hard about it until then” the voice said facing Jenny again. “My time is short and I must go. Austin, finish telling Jenny about yourself and your knowledge. It will help her understand what is coming” the voice said as Spitz’s eyes slowly started to return to normal. “I think it’s gone now” I said watching Spitz look around before he started eating.

  After that, I told Jenny about where I grew up in California, how I was a nerd, athlete, and biologist. I told her about my job and my research, and the gift the voice had given me. “This is a lot to take in” Jenny said looking down. “Everything makes sense though. What do I need to know about right away?” Jenny asked. “Team Rocket is going to become much more powerful over the next five years and launch attacks across the Kanto Region and then then the Johto Region. Their Leader is named Giovanni and he is the 8th Gym Leader right here in Viridian City. He has almost any and all powerful Pokémon at his disposal, and unlimited amounts of money” I said giving her a brief rundown of the future. “There’s more, he is going to send scientists to Cinnabar Mansion and collect Mew DNA and create a powerful clone called Mewtwo that will try to take over the world” I said solemnly. “Ash and his friends are supposed to stop him using the power of friendship and emotion, but he moves into Cerulean Cave and you can challenge him there” I said trying to recall everything. “There is more I can talk about regarding the Legendary Birds, but that is a story for next time” I said standing up.

  I helped Jenny clean everything up and measured her Pokémon for research. “You doing okay?” I asked her rubbing the back of her hand. “I think so, but I have a lot to think about. How would you handle this?” She asked me. “I would take notes and write out what happened, how I feel about each subject, and then plan what actions I am going to take” I said to her honestly. “What if it means we stop dating and I stay here?” Jenny asked me. “I would be devastated, but I would respect your decision and ask if we could still be friends. I like having you as a friend so far, and we have fun together” I said with a smile. “Okay, I think that’s what I’ll do. I’ll figure out how I feel and write you tomorrow” Jenny said returning the smile. We hugged again, and she gave me a kiss on the cheek as I was leaving.

  On the way back, all of my Pokémon were riding on Tremor and talking as I walked next to Tremor. “I think I scared them too Tremor. I hope this doesn’t make them want to stop being friends with me” I said giving him pats. “Stelll” Tremor groaned trying to soothe me, at least I think that was it. When we got back to the lab I immediately jumped to my chores and fed all the Pokémon. When I finished, all my Pokémon were waiting for me. I sat down and they all proceeded to sit down in a circle. “So, what do you guys and gals think?” I asked them all. Po stood up and came over and hugged me, and then he went and sat down. Rapunzel did the same thing, then Taco, Cha, and Tremor just groaned and leaned out of fear of crushing me. (Tremor weighs 1400 Pounds Roughly). “All of you want to come with me and potentially Jenny?” I asked in confirmation. A chorus of calls and sounds came back. “Thank you all for your trust and love” I said tearing up a little. “Remember though, our journey and fights are going to be much tougher than usual. Like the voice said, we will be battling Pokémon that should be much stronger than you. We will have to train harder and smarter to stand a chance at beating them” I said nodding with excitement. Another chorus of calls and cheers broke out, and I was tackled to the ground with love.

  After we finished up outside, I went in and got cleaned up. “What a long day” I said to myself as I plopped into the computer chair. I logged all my data and made notes about the Pokémon including Jenny’s. When everything was finally logged, I got in bed and started to close my eyes. As I did, Cha and Po came into the room. “Everything okay?” I asked them sitting up. “Lick Lick” “Pidg” they answered and started walking back outside. I followed them, and when I got outside… “Rapunzel?” I asked staring at a giant nest of vines sitting next to Tremor and Taco. “Tang Tang!” She called back, but her voice sounded much deeper. “You evolved?!?!?” I realized and ran over to check her. “Lick Lick” Po said nodding. “Wow! You figured out Ancient Power didn’t you? You clever girl” I said stroking her vines. Rapunzel stood up, and was now 4 inches taller than I was. “You guys are seriously the best and coolest friends a guy could ask for” I said giving her a big hug.
