Chap.96 – War Zone

Black Spider returned to Juberly Hub with Rick and the clones. The first thing he did was stop by the mercenary alliance to register Rick and the new clones.

Furthermore, he discovered that his credibility had risen to 1,023. He was surprised to see it rise so much with just one mission, but the fact that they had efficiently completed a mission where several other mercenary groups had failed, along with the positive evaluation from his employer, significantly increased his credibility.

He hadn't even moved when he received job offers, they weren't big jobs, but things like security and transportation, but getting jobs on his own was still a positive thing for a small mercenary group.

-Captain! I'm going to buy a new sword.- Rick said. With the money Black Spider gave him, it was enough for him to buy a new Battleship Slicing Blade.

-Alright, I also have some things to take care of. You can meet us on the ship when you've finished your "shopping"..- Black Spider agreed, he would go to the Ecozmar group to sell more genetic serums, then he would buy the planet he had chosen.

The group split up, with some clones accompanying Black Spider, others staying to look after the ship and Rick went off alone, excited to find a beauty and drown his sorrows in her ample breasts.

As for the sword? He can look for that after having some fun.

Black Spider wasn't entirely honest with Rick, because as soon as they parted ways, one of the clones separated and headed towards the super training area.

The clone was being controlled by Ringo, the real body.

The clones had already researched the Juberly Hub area beforehand, so finding the right training ground was quite easy.

The place was called War Zone, a gigantic structure made of red stone, probably large enough to hold two or more football stadiums with lower and upper levels.

Various races came and went, but what they had in common was their clear warrior origin, carrying protective equipment, weapons and all sorts of items used in combat missions.

The owner of this place is a Grade A Pugilist demon, its function is basically fights of all kinds, betting, sophisticated bars and restaurants, a leisure area, a hotel and all kinds of compatible establishments, it's like a city within a city.

The upside is that the training grounds here are the most modern in Juberly Hub, the downside is that you need to be a member to get in, as the War Zone is considered a high-level club.

There are two ways to become a member: recognition, in which case you receive an invitation from the club, or you can apply on your own, provided you have sufficient strength or credibility, you can join.

The other option is money, 100,000 Enas annually and that's it, you're in.

This type of ridiculously expensive membership, especially when the membership is free through recognition, is a clear indicator that the boss behind the War Zone has some peculiar thoughts about management.

Sure, the associations are different: iron, blood and massacre. The iron association is the simplest, the blood association requires at least a Grade A Grade or recognition for a great feat and the massacre association can only be purchased, but anyone can buy it.

This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.

They say the Massacre membership grants free access to the club's best leisure activities and even hidden ones, but only the wealthy would bother buying something like that.

But to sum it up, only the rich and powerful can enter there.

Ringo separated from the clone near the entrance to a hidden alley, when he reappeared, Ringo looked exactly like Black Spider.

Grade B, plus 1,000 credibility in the Mercenary Alliance was already enough for an Iron Alliance, even the most common one, to guarantee entry into advanced training rooms, of course, upon payment.

The mercenary Alliance is not the only one available for this type of "recommendation", other competent associations could also serve as a basis, provided they had a militant character.

The registration was very simple, he only needed to emit his energy to confirm compatibility and... well, the energy Black Spider used to register was his own, so it was 100% compatible.

After answering a few quick questionnaires, he received a digital wallet indicating his membership.

Ironically, he discovered that he could receive even better mercenary missions through the War Zone, perhaps because only elites could enter here. The War Zone became like a waste sorter, so the War Zone had a partnership with the Mercenary Alliance, there was an extra fee that the employer had to pay for the War Zone to act as an intermediary.

For the mercenaries, there wasn't much difference, just more good jobs with better pay.

Ringo didn't bother dealing with that now and went straight to the training area, a series of mechanical sliding doors stretched a few meters apart in the environmental simulation corridor.

Several rooms had red lights emanating from their access terminals, but there were also some green ones, these were the ones available for use.

Ringo quickly searched for one, walking down the empty hallway, only a faint buzzing sound could be heard, even to his powerful ears, so the soundproofing here was good.

He placed his communicator on a terminal and the green light blinked for a moment before turning blue, the door opened as he entered, the door closed with a soft click behind him, the terminal light went from blue to red.

Inside the room, Ringo looked around curiously, it was just a small room of 20 square meters made of pure metal. It looked like a box and if it weren't for the lights, it might resemble a cell in a futuristic prison.

[Hello, please set the simulation parameters.] - The robotic voice left the room as a screen of light formed in front of it. Ringo noticed that there were holographic projectors in some parts of the room, so he wasn't surprised.

Using his finger, he began to check the options.

Gravity, radiation, climate, air composition, air pressure...

There were all sorts of factors involved, and Ringo wanted to laugh very excitedly for a while.

Until now, due to a lack of options in Aquamarine, Ringo has relied on genetic serums, but relying on that is like quenching thirst with poison.

Well, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but Ringo himself has a genetic limit, each time his genetic code is enhanced through serums, it makes his genes "heavier", just like Esgod.

The upside is that Ringo can continue to evolve, so even if his internal storage becomes a little tight, it's only temporary, because his storage grows continuously, unlike other Supers.

But this still hinders the acquisition of truly important genes, cluttering his genetic code with all sorts of different genes.

It's not that they're useless, but it's better to specialize in a few positive aspects than to fill his hard drive with all sorts of low-level information.

Therefore, being able to return to training through direct external stimuli is truly a blessing for him.

He immediately began to work, increasing the gravity, increasing the air pressure, making the air toxic... the environment began to become increasingly harmful as Ringo fell due to the overwhelming gravity.

[It has been detected that you have reached a physical limit and are under extreme stress. Do you wish to reverse the changes? If there is no response within 10 seconds, the reversal will be done automatically.]

-No! Keep going!- Ringo grinned, white energy oozing from his pores as that familiar, extreme progress returned to him.

He wanted to laugh with excitement , finally! Finally he could get back to making rapid progress!
