  4th login - his first battle

  Hyuuga curiously opened the thread titled [I am a genius archer] as someone who walk in the path of archery, finding someone who took the same route is like finding a comrade.

  But when he read the contents of it, he was dissapointed. This thread is made by a player who is trying to gain fame and lure girls to join his party. Feeling he has waste his time, he look for another thread.

  [monster battle]

  This thread made by a player that already reach lvl 10. Hyuuga is not amazed because he thinks he just leveled up easily. How hard it is to level up another 9 times? Hyuuga didn't know about gaming after all. That was also the reason why he decide to find more info in the forum.

  From what he read, there is no battle assistance system in this game. Hyuuga doesn't even know what does it mean so he ignore it.

  It said every time you kill a monster it gives experience and will drop item. Hyuuga knows that getting more experience will make your character stronger after all he have played a game called Golden hero before.

  He also read in another threads called [making money] that drop item from monster can be stored in inventory and later be sold to NPC to gain money.

  Despite Hyuuga excellence skill in archery, he knows only a little bit about gaming. Altough he have good intelligence to put him in top 10 national wide exam, combined with his pride in the noble lineage, he didn't think highly about other's opinion.

  If someone tell him the apple is sweet, he won't say that it is sweet before experiencing it first hand. But in the other hand if one say that the apple is half sour and half sweet, he will make a conclusion if the apple is sweet. To put it simple, he will make his own conclusion based on experience and if it wasn't unclear he will make a blind decision but will believe in it until the very end.

  The best way to put it, simply idiot. That's because his father is very strict with the archery training. 8 hours a day in the archery range made his knowledge about the world and common sense completely on a kindergarten level. Only his manner of noble lineage trained in the special class have another plus mark.

  Hyuuga make another conclusion that nothing new he can gain from the forum, he decided to have his first battle.

  Just when he about to step outside from the city, the guard stopped him

  "halt. Who goes there?"

  Feeling that he do nothing wrong, Hyuuga answer in confidence.

  "my name is Hyuuga sir. Is there anything that I can help you?"

  The guard inspecting Hyuuga and then laugh.

  "Are you perharps going to head outside of the city?"

  "yes sir. Is there something wrong with that?"

  In Hyuuga tone, we can sense that he feels irritatted a little bit. Hyuuga doesn't know this NPC will give players low rank quest in an exchange for a map.

  "aren't you just a little girl? It's too dangerous for you to wander outside."

  "a little girl" That is something that completely forbidden to be said in front of Hyuuga. With his small stature and smooth face, he can't even count anymore how many people has mistaken him for a girl. With exploded anger he replied.

  "I'M NOT A LITTLE GIRL!"

  The voice that comes out from the small body is so loud making the guard stunned.

  "I will prove it to you that I'm a full grown man."

  After he regain his composure, the guard then speak again.

  "if you can bring me 10 rabbit's fur, then I will consider you as a man. Furthermore I will give you <>"

  Even though it's different than usual, the NPC still gives Hyuuga the quest. Of course, the <> is very important when playing a RPG game.

  [Rabbit's fur quest]

  The guard is asking you to bring him 10 rabbit's fur. As a reward he will gives you <>.

  * rewards: map command , 1000 experience, 1 gold. *

  (additional: if you manage to complete the quest you won't be called "little girl" anymore, but failure will stick that nickname for your character.)

  Do you accept? Y/N

  "Fine. I will bring it here. I have no problem in killing a few rabbit." after saying that Hyuuga go out from the city.

  In the city outskirts only a few players found killing rabbit. Afterall the majority of player have reached above level 5 unlike Hyuuga who log in for an hour and log out to browse trough the forum.

  Hyuuga's family rooted deep im noble archery lineage often goes out to mountain and hunt wild animals. Killing ten rabbits is going to be easy.

  Hyuuga takes out his bow and hung the quiver in his waist. Other than putting it on the back, archer on competition oftenly do this. Hyuuga can see a rabit on top of a hill. He point his bow to the rabbit direction and calmly analyze the situation. He is checking the wind then adjusting his trajectory.

  *swish..*

  A second later the arrow has pierce trough the rabbit neck.

  [critical hit]

  After that Hyuuga come to take the rabbit. He pull the arrow out from the rabbit body and swipe the arrow to clean the blood. After that he put it back in his quiver. Now, how to skin the fur? Soon the rabbit in his hand scattered to rainbow dust and, a white fur appear.

  Monster died and dissapeared leaving item behind is a common sight in any game. But for Hyuuga this sight is something that he have never seen. In the Golden Hero that he have played, the body of defeated monster just stay there until decayed.Hyuuga think that he have to actually skinned the rabbit to collect it's fur but lucky it wasn't needed. If that's what happened, seeing hundred players skinning rabbits is a sight that will rise an uproar from animal lover.

  Seeing how easy it was done, he is going to find another target. Not far from him, he found another rabbit. He take out his weapon again and take aim.

  *swish..*

  This time the arrow hit the rabbit on the leg.

  *you have dealt 25 damage*

  Hyuuga surprised that his aim is miss. More over the damage dealt is not as high as before. What can be the cause? Seeing the trajectory line and the wind is perfect, one thing came up to his mind.

  The arrow that he use is the same arrow that killed the first rabit. The impact of piercing the first rabbit may make some dent in the arrow head and the blood will make it heavier than usual.

  How can he forget that? Afterall in a competition, he never use the same arrow twice. He will not forget about it anymore. The vital points which the arrow land also seemed important, because his earlier shot is a critical hit while right now is only a regular hit.

  While he is thinking, the rabbit is now aggitated and run towards him to attack. This is something that Hyuuga never experienced. In the real world, the hunted animal if it didn't die in a single arrow, will definitelly run. But this small white animal is now running towards Hyuuga.

  He quickly grab another arrow and now raises his bow. But the speed of the rabbit can't be taken lightly. As mentioned before, Hyuuga is specialized in archery tournament that gives him a lot of time to prepare before each shot. The feeling of having to shot in a rush cause him to panic. It's one of the bow fatal weakness if the user can't maintain his composure after he failed his first shot.

  After seeing the rabbit runs toward him, he regain his composure but get complacent.

  "What harm can be done by a small rabit?"

  It was one mistake that will take Hyuuga to his first hummiliation inside the game.

  After feeling some pain from his leg, he saw that the cute rabbit is now biting him. Afterall the rabbit is a lvl 3 monster, even higher than Hyuuga's.

  The bow second weakness is close range fighting. In point blank distance, he aimed towards his leg, but the white animal can't be seen anymore...

  *crunch*

  And this continues until his health dropped to 50 and start to shot blindly. Finally he can see the rabbit at his leg but it was too late. His last remaining health has dropped to zero.

  "what's the matter girl? Can kill the rabbit? Hahaha"

  The guards laugh to his heart contents when seeing Hyuuga going outside of the town after revived.

  "ugh.." Hyuuga only walk past trough with an angry expression.

  "This time I will definitelly kill them all."

  With anger in his eyes, now he has higher concentration. He learn from his past mistakes and never repeat it again. This kind of attitude has won him gold medal afterall.

  In a blink of an eye 8 other rabbits have died and he only need one more fur. In the progress, he managed to level up once. With his self proclaimed knowledge once again all of the stat points goes into strength. He then open, his status.

  His lvl and exp bar was revealed when he is wondering how much longer it takes for him to level up. Normal player usually discover this early but our master of conclusion never look at unknown game language that's too ancient for him in the forum.

  Grinning at the progress, now he only have one fur to collect. He search for his last unlucky rabbit and find a hint of white fur behind a small hill. He launch his arrow and hit at the perfect spot.

  The white rabbit didn't move. He must have killed it then.

  When he approaches the white rabbit, slowly but sure the size is increasing. Behind the small hill where he tought the rabbit was hiding, he saw a nightmare. A rabbit, with the size of a small hill is now looking at him. Hyuuga doesn't dare to move and a notification window show up.

  [Moon rabbit (mini-boss) is now considering you as an enemy]

  Seeing that, his face is now pale. He quickly grab an arrow using his left hand and shot it quickly. Because the size of the rabbit is so big and the distance is close, he didn't worry to miss.

  The moon rabbit stood silently while taking the barrage of attack.

  The faster an arrow is released from the bow, the less damage it have because for it to deal the highest damage, the string have to be pulled to it's maximum capability.

  Another notification show up in front of Hyuuga but right now he didn't know if he should be happy or cry.

  *You have gained a skill*

  He quickly close it and prepare for another attack. But right now there's no blood can be seen in his face.

  He run out of arrow.

  This is also one of the disadvantages in using a bow. One should be aware in the number of arrow that he have on hand. Why he failed to notice it?

  The Moon rabbit is now practically chewing him.

  With only two attack, Hyuuga is sent back to the city.

  "how can I run out of arrow? How can I see the number of arrow I have on hand?"

  As soon as he wanted to know about his arrow, his equipment windows is unlocked. Because our Hyuuga is so genius at games he failed to notice basic things.

  "where did this equipment comes from? I didn't see it before. Darn. This game is full of trap. Also that moon rabbit from before. Something wrong in the developer head."

  My bro, to tell you the truth... There's something wrong inside your head.

  Hyuuga also remember that he gained a skill. He's now going to check it out.

  "what's more, gaining a skill in front of the enemy.. Tch..."

  Altough Hyuuga demeanor is taught from little, it doesn't change the fact that he's still a young boy. He easily throw a tantrum and will blame anyone he could blame on.

  Actually this should come when he is training with Sid in the training grounds and practice shooting for 50 times. But you know what happened and the number of arrow he had is depleted in such a manner when he blind shot at the second rabbit.

  "hmphh... It's a good compensation given the circumstances that i have to run into some danger first. See... This game is full of trap. The status window strength, the skill, the equipment status... I'm not in the mood for playing right now."

  After saying that Hyuuga then logged out. But despite all of that he still browses trough the forum. Skipping all the thing with alien game language and finally stop at a threads titled [this game is full of trap].

  By the way the damage calculation is like this..

  His bow damage at first is 25-30, when he increased his str stats by one it increased by one to 31.

  When he first hit the target practice, critical resulting 2 times the highest damage range resting in 60. After he put his strength in 15, itu becames 25-35. Resulting in 70 critical damage. He leveled up once more resulting his damage range is 25-40 with critical damage of 80.

  Each level up increase the health and mana by 10. Each str point adds 20 extra health alongside with 1 attack. Hyuuga is having illusion in increasing strength will gives you 20 health and 2 mana. He of course didn't care about attack value and everything else because he's a noob... he only think leveled up = more strength = he has grow stronger because of that golden hero game.... A total noob acting like a pro.. Yes... And his self concluded conclusion is always the worst of the worst...

  The youngest gold medalist winner. Came from noble family lineage of archery. Have good grades and looks, but will be very angry if mistaken for a girl because of his beautiful face. Trained well in noble manner but sometimes will throw a tantrum when angry. Self proclaimed good gamer (golden hero) and have a high understanding of things. He regards other people opinion with no importance.

  Actually the reason why he think highly of himself is because he break the highscore on this old game. Golden Hero. While in the truth the only one who play this game is only him. The previous high score is of course 0 so, no matter how badly he play he will still break the highscore. Of course he didn't know that.
