It has been a couple of days since Teaghan opened up her dungeon to the world, and many things have changed in the dungeon.
The first thing that happened was that she increased her mana to 300.
There were also a couple of intruders that came into the dungeon. The first intruder was a small rat. It was easily defeated within the first hallway by a tricky red fox with blue eyes. What surprised Teaghan is that after the rat was killed, she was able to have access to summon it.
The other couple of intruders were serrated centipedes, black beetles and an outrey tarantula. The centipede and tarantula were killed by the same blue-eyed fox as the small rat. After each intruder was dead, she was able to summon them to use them in her dungeon.
The most interesting invaders were a wave of about 10 dog-sized creatures. They had a chitinous shell and looked very much like a scorpion, except it had no tail and had six legs in the middle of its body. The creatures also had two pinchers, half the size of its body, that were as strong as steel.
These creatures just streamed through the dungeon’s entrance and killed most of the animals that they encountered. The hawks picked off a couple, the blue-eyed fox and the other foxes picked off a couple, and the kobolds, who finally had some action, killed the rest, with one casualty. These creatures were called hunter scorpion ants. They were apparently a collective of bugs that were controlled by one mind, a hive.
After these invasions, there were a couple of evolutions to different animals.
The blue-eyed fox had multiple evolution choices. They were:
Teaghan looked at these options and decided that the chicane evolution suited this fox.
The blue-eyed fox was not the only species to go through an evolution, and one other fox gained the black fox evolution. Two rabbits had two different evolutions: fleet foot and thumper. The fleet foot evolution allowed the rabbit to be twice as fast pre-evolution, and the thumper evolution allowed the rabbit to gain a more potent and dangerous kick. The hawks gained a single evolution of iron claws, which made their claws as sharp and strong as the hunter scorpion ants they hunted.
After Teaghan added the new animals to the dungeon, she decided that it was time for a little bit of experimentation. In her core’s interior workshop, Teaghan studied the white holly vine’s anatomy. Her creations did not need to follow natural biology. Since she had the vine across the whole dungeon, Teaghan decided that she wanted to create a vine that could grab and choke whatever passed it.

In her mind, she moulded mana into the vine, creating a longer and stronger vine, with leaves that grew out of it as feelers for prey. Balancing the thickness of the vine with the flexibility needed was different. But, Teaghan finally found the best ratio of thickness and strength to flexibility; in the end, she created her first monster. The leaves that she added were sensitive to vibrations in the air, allowing it to search out and catch prey. This vine was named “White Grappler” and it inhabited the lower branches of the trees.
A blue screen even appeared and gave her the title “Experimentalist” which increased the number of experimentations working, a couple of skills and the title gave her an additional 5 DP.
While Teaghan was experimenting with adding her new summons into the dungeon, the kobolds were not sitting still.
The kobolds made a small circle of little huts and defences near the thickest and hardest to move around areas in the fourth room’s trees. They built in an area with great camouflage, and it was very hard to get to without hacking away all the vegetation. They also started to use sharpened sticks as weapons. Interestingly, this area was made into a spawn point and was named “Kobolds Village”.
Teaghan decided that she was almost done with the first floor. After deciding she needed more vegetation and animals, she sent out four foxes and a kobold to bring anything interesting back into her domain.
After waiting a couple of anxious hours, the four foxes and the kobold finally came back.
The first fox came back the quickest and brought a couple of seeds. Teaghan absorbed the seeds and plants and got the descriptions for them.
The second, third and fourth foxes came back with a couple of plants, animals and materials. After she absorbed what they brought back, Teaghan was bombarded with blue screens.
The kobold came back carrying a rock about 30 cm long. When the kobold set down the rock in the core room, Teaghan saw that the stone had an animal's imprint on it.
Teaghan realized that this rock potentially held a fossil and grinned. She thought that this was awesome; this meant she had something unique about her dungeon.
When Teaghan absorbed the rock, she got her confirmation.
Teagan grinned; she realized that she really hit the jackpot.
