As they all entered the cafeteria, any doubt as to Teruteru's cooking abilities was put to rest as the smell wafted from the immacute spread he had prepared. Meats, cheeses, and fruits of all kinds, desserts, sides, and even a variety of drinks.

  "Man, I could get used to this..." said Leon.

  Everyone grabbed a pte and loaded up on the various dishes. The food tasted even better than it looked and smelled.

  Even Hiyoko gave in and tried some sweets.

  "Hm... It's edible. Barely." She said.

  "This is the best thing I've ever eaten! Said Nekomaru. "I'll definitely do it to you ter!"

  "Oh, my, it feels great to actually be the object of someone's advances for once..." Teruteru responded.

  "Teruteru, you're weird as hell, man, but this is some pretty damn good food." Mondo said, chomping on a chicken wing.

  "Indeed. The meat is well seasoned, and the vegetables are adequately crisp." Said Peko. "It is surprising the school has this much food."

  "We saw a locked storeroom on our quest, I'm certain they're keeping even more goodies from us!" Said Hifumi.

  "Well, at least we know we'll be able to keep having these delicious meals routinely!" Added Taka.

  "Is that so?" Celeste responded." True, this food is acceptable. But how do you know we will have it tomorrow? What if there is a murder? As Monokuma said, 'Nothing will chan-"

  "Hey, gothie, can you shut up and enjoy the moment for once?" Interupted Hiyoko." Oh, and this is for being mean to Mahiru!"

  Hiyoko picked up a cupcake and threw it at Celeste, hitting her face.

  "Oh..." Celeste's eyes raged an even brighter red. "You've done it now! You childish, outdated, loli bitch!"

  Celeste then threw a rice cake towards Hiyoko, who ducked at the st second causing it to hit Leon.

  "Gah! Ah, you wanna py ball? Try me."

  As he reared back to pitch an orange at her, he got hit again from the other side by Nekomaru.

  "Come on man, you can't just hit girls..."

  He then chucked an entire rotisserie chicken at Mondo.

  "Hit guys too!"

  With that the entire room went into chaos, food was flying left and right, much to the dismay of Teruteru and Taka.

  Despite this, even the normally reserved students like Chihiro, Ryoto, and even Peko and Mukuro were getting in on the action. Like a less intense and more lighthearted version of their earlier argument.

  After a while of this, a yelp drowned out the chaotic fun.

  "Wah!"

  "O-Oh, Mikan, are you o-... k?" Said Ryota going over to help her before he saw the scene.

  "Ahahahaha!" Laughed Hiyoko "I knew there was something funny about you! You're a massive slut!"

  "Wahhh!" Cried Mikan, exasperated "No! I promise i-it was on accident... P-please help me..."

  "Um... yeah... I'll get right on it..." said Leon, clearly distracted.

  "Ugh! Shame on you guys! Perving on an innocent girl!" Shouted Mahiru "Here, I'll help you."

  She began to untangle Mikan and helped her back up.

  "Quite a show, Ms. Tsumiki, quite a show..." said Hifumi.

  "Yes, I'd probably be making my fair share of jokes too." Said Teruteru. "That is, if my food wasn't spread all over the GODDAMN CAFETERIA!"

  Everyone looked around and realized the cafeteria was, in fact, pretty filthy.

  "I agree with Teruteru!" Said Taka "We will all work together to clean this pce up, and will not leave until it is spotless!"

  "Ugh... I guess it's only fair" compined Hiyoko.

  "Come on guys, if we work together this will be over in no time!" Cheered Sayaka.

  The rest of the students begrudgingly started cleaning the Cafeteria, getting it done surprisingly quickly due to the team effort.

  "That will suffice." Taka said, ending the cleaning effort.

  "Now that that's over, I got some good shots of the food fight as it happened. Once I find a way to develop these photos, I'm sure we'll have a beautiful memory together!" Said Mahiru, holding up her camera.

  "And if we are not all still here?" Asked Celeste.

  "I still have another cupcake." Threatened Hiyoko.

  As the group had a nice ugh, an announcement came over the loudspeaker

  "Mm, ahem, this is a school announcement. It is now 10 p.m. As such, it is officially nighttime. Soon, the doors to the dining hall will be locked, and entry at that point is strictly prohibited. Okay, then... sweet dreams, everyone! Good night, sleeptight, don't let the bed bugs bite..."

  "Hm... the windows are covered, and we have no choice but to believe the times he provides to us." Mukuro said.

  "Indeed. In any case, let us rest for the 'night', we have had quite the day." Said Peko.

  "Wait! I have a proposition!" Said Taka "It is inherently more dangerous at night since people are asleep and the rooms are soundproof! Anyone who exited their room at night would be in grave danger. I propose that we all stay in out rooms all night!"

  "T-thank you... I just thought... what if we had someone monitor the h-halls at night? That way, no one w-would have to worry during that time." She said shyly.

  "Who do you think should do it?" Asked Sayaka."Isn't it really risky? Surely there are other things we could do?"

  "Nah, I actually kinda like it." Leon responded. "I've always been more of a night owl anyway. If no one else wants to risk it, I'll take one for the team."

  "I will accompany him!" Decred Taka "Two is better than one. This way, falling asleep is not an issue."

  "I'd have trouble sleeping with Taka in my ear all night, too..." said Mukuro.

  "Then it's settled." Said Taka. "No one out of their rooms all night. Leon and I will guard the halls."

  Everyone unanimously agreed to the proposal, if only to get to sleep sooner.

  And with that, the first day of their new life had come to an end. Questions were asked and answered, found, and generated. Friendships were made, and rivalries were started. Despite it all, it was just the beginning...
