The wind roared around me, drowning out my snarl of frustration as the cws dug deeper into my sides. Whatever had me in its grip was massive, strong enough to pierce through my armoured scales and carry me effortlessly into the sky. The forest below shrank rapidly, the Ancient Forest’s canopy blending into an endless sea of green. My wings thrashed instinctively, but the ironcd grip on my body rendered them useless.
I twisted, trying to catch a glimpse of the creature that had grabbed me, but its sheer size obscured my view. All I could make out were fshes of blue, gleaming in the sunlight as we ascended higher. The air grew colder, the wind sharper, cutting against my skin as I thrashed against the unrelenting talons.
“Let go!” I roared, my cws sshing blindly at its legs. I felt the faint resistance of tough scales but couldn’t nd a solid strike. The beast responded with a guttural growl that reverberated through its chest and down into mine, its sheer power making my fury burn brighter.
The world spun as the creature banked sharply, my body swinging like a rag doll in its grip. I bit back a snarl of pain as the motion wrenched my shoulder. This thing was toying with me, carrying me away from my nest, my mate, and my eggs. The thought sent a fresh wave of anger coursing through me, my cws digging into the creature’s scales in a desperate bid to break free.
I felt the air shift suddenly, the wind no longer rushing past me with the same intensity. We were descending. My heart thundered as I braced myself for whatever was coming, my mind racing through every possible scenario. I still couldn’t see it—couldn’t tell what had dared to snatch me from my home—but the sheer force of its presence was undeniable.
With a sharp lurch, the creature released me.
The ground rushed up to meet me, a chaotic blur of green and brown. My wings snapped open on instinct, catching the air just enough to slow my descent before I smmed into the earth. The impact was bone-jarring, the force rippling through my body as I rolled to a stop against a massive tree trunk.
I groaned, shaking off the disorientation as I scrambled to my feet. My cws flexed against the dirt, my wings fring wide as I scanned my surroundings. The surrounding forest was different—not the familiar safety of the Ancient Forest near my nest. The trees here were taller, darker, their twisted branches casting long shadows over the uneven ground. The air carried a faint acrid scent, mingled with something metallic that set my instincts on edge.
A thunderous roar shattered the eerie stillness, reverberating through the forest like a war cry. My blood ran cold as I turned toward the sound, my eyes narrowing as a massive form emerged from the shadows.
It was a Rathalos, a blue one. My confusion at its colour was exceeded by my instinctual fury at my territory being encroached upon. The wyvern's cobalt scales gleamed like tempered steel, its wings spreading wide as it nded with a ground-shaking thud. Its glowing eyes locked onto me, burning with predatory malice. Smoke curled from its nostrils as it bared its teeth, the sharp edges glinting like daggers in the dim light.
I growled, my voice low and dangerous. My cws flexed, anticipation thrumming through my veins as I squared off against the beast. “I'm gonna fuckin' eat you for this.”
The Azure Rathalos roared again, the sound reverberating through the twisted trees and shaking loose debris from the branches. Its wings spread wide, smoke curling ominously from its nostrils as it stepped forward. Each heavy footfall gouged the earth beneath it, the sheer weight of the beast a testament to its dominance.
I snarled, my cws flexing as I crouched low, wings half-unfurled in preparation. Every instinct screamed at me to attack, to tear this intruder apart for daring to take me from my nest. My scales scraped against the dirt as I dug in, adrenaline coursing through my veins. My muscles tensed, my tail shing behind me in controlled fury.
The Rathalos lunged first, its massive frame deceptively fast as it closed the gap between us. I barely managed to twist out of the way, its talons sshing through the air where I had just been. The ground shook with the force of its attack, dirt and debris flying up as it snarled in frustration.
“Fast,” I muttered, a hint of grudging respect threading through my voice. But not fast enough.
I lunged forward, using my wings to propel myself into its fnk. My cws raked against its cobalt scales, sparks flying as I tried to dig through its tough hide. The Rathalos roared in pain, twisting violently to throw me off. Its tail came around like a whip, catching me across the ribs and sending me staggering back.
Pain fred where its tail had struck, but I ignored it, my vision narrowing as I focused on the beast. It didn’t wait, its jaws snapping open to unleash a torrent of fmes. The fire roared toward me, searing the air with its heat.
I dove to the side, the fmes scorching the earth where I had been standing. My wings fred, catching the updraft as I unched myself upward. The Rathalos’s head snapped around to track my movement, its glowing eyes locking onto me with predatory precision.
“You want a fight?” I snarled, baring my teeth. “Alright, Let's fucking go!”
I dove toward it, using the momentum of my descent to strike at its head. My cws connected with the armored crest, the force of the blow jerking its head to the side. The Rathalos roared in fury, its talons swiping upward as it tried to catch me midair. I twisted away, my wings beating furiously as I circled back for another attack.
The Rathalos unched itself into the air with a powerful beat of its wings, the gust sending leaves and branches flying in its wake. We cshed midair, a violent tangle of cws, teeth, and wings. Its talons raked against my side, the sharp edges tearing into my scales. I snarled, retaliating with a swipe of my cws across its chest. The beast screeched, its blood spttering against the forest floor far below.
It retaliated with another burst of fire, the fmes licking dangerously close to my wings. I veered sharply to avoid the inferno, using the momentum to drive my tail into its injured fnk. The Rathalos roared, its massive body twisting as it shed out with its cws. I felt the sting of its strike against my shoulder, the pain fueling my fury as I grappled with it in the air.
We hit the ground in a chaotic crash, the force of our impact carving a crater into the earth. The Rathalos thrashed beneath me, its talons tearing at my legs as it tried to throw me off. I snarled, digging my cws into its neck as I forced it down.
Its wings fred, beating against the ground with enough force to lift us both momentarily. I lost my grip as it surged upward, the sudden motion sending me sprawling into a nearby tree. The trunk cracked under the force, splinters raining down as I pushed myself upright.
The Rathalos turned to face me, its chest heaving as it prepared for another attack. Its glowing eyes burned with a feral intensity, its body coiled and ready to strike. Blood dripped from the gashes I had left in its hide, but it showed no signs of slowing.
Neither did I.
With a roar, I charged forward, meeting the Rathalos head-on. Our bodies collided with a thunderous crash, the ground trembling beneath us as we tore into each other. My cws raked against its chest, its talons ripping into my side. Blood—mine and its—spattered across the battlefield as we fought, each strike more brutal than the st.
The Rathalos snapped at me with its massive jaws, fire building in its throat as it prepared to unleash another inferno. I ducked under its bite, driving my cws into its underbelly. The beast screeched, its wings beating furiously as it tried to take off.
Not this time.
I wrapped my arms around its neck again, using my weight and raw strength to drag it back down. The Rathalos thrashed wildly, its tail shing against my back as it struggled to break free. My cws dug deeper, the taste of victory tantalizingly close.
And yet, this creature refused to yield, bucking wildly and throwing me off with the frantic motions. It took to the sky, seeking to retreat, and I took off after it. "No you fucking don't!" I roared out, lobbing a ball of fire from my hand, The Crown allowing me to manifest the elements I have from anywhere on my body.
It twisted midair, its glowing eyes tracking me as it unleashed another torrent of fmes. This time, I was ready. The Crown sparked to life, the air around me shimmering with elemental energy as I summoned a shield of water. The fmes collided with the barrier, hissing and steaming as they dissipated into harmless vapor.
The Rathalos roared in frustration, banking hard to the left as it tried to outmaneuver me. I pursued relentlessly as I prepared my next attack. With a guttural snarl, I extended my cws, focusing the energy of ice into my palm. Frost crackled along my scales, the air around me chilling as I hurled a shard of frozen energy at its wing.
The shard struck true, embedding itself in the thin membrane of the Rathalos's wing. The beast screeched in pain, its flight faltering as it struggled to maintain altitude. I didn’t let up, closing the distance as I summoned another burst of elemental energy. This time, I channeled thunder, the crackling electricity arcing between my horns before streaking toward the Rathalos in a blinding fsh.
The bolt struck its tail, the force of the impact jerking the Rathalos midair. It let out a shriek, its body twisting as the lightning danced along its scales. Smoke curled from the scorched edges of its armor, and for a moment, I thought I had the upper hand.
But the beast wasn’t finished.
With a powerful beat of its wings, the Rathalos surged upward, twisting sharply to face me head-on. Its maw opened wide, fmes building in its throat as it prepared to unleash another attack. I had only seconds to react, and I wasn't going out like this. I opened my own mouth, fire gathering in my jaw, condensing into a white-hot orb. Our two fire's collided, resulting into an explosion that obscured our vision. But I kept going forward, colliding with the Rathalos variant harshly.
“Nice try,” I snarled, my cws now thoroughly imbedded into it's chest, where I let poison seep into its body for letting me get this close. If you couldn't tell, I'm pissed.
I summoned more fire, channeling the raw heat through my throat as I unleashed a burst of fmes into its face. The Rathalos roared in agony, its head snapping back as the fire seared its eyes. We were going down as it filed in the sky, and the impact of our descent came a heartbeat ter, the ground exploding beneath us as we crashed into the earth.
I was on my feet in an instant, my wings fring as I loomed over the beast. The Rathalos struggled to rise, smoke curling from its scorched face as it let out a guttural snarl. It shed out with its tail, but I leapt over the strike, nding on its back with cws digging into its scales.
The beast thrashed beneath me, its massive frame bucking like a wild stallion. I held firm, my cws as I struck its exposed side. Ice spread from the point of impact, the frost creeping along its scales and slowing its movements.
It wasn’t enough to stop it.
The Rathalos roared, its wings fring as it unched itself into the air once more. I snarled in frustration, my grip slipping as it twisted violently. I let go just in time, my wings snapping open to steady me as the beast took off again. This time, I stayed grounded, watching as it circled above me.
“Not so fast,” I growled, summoning another burst of lightning. The crackling energy arced between my horns, building to a crescendo before I hurled it skyward. The bolt struck its wing, the force of the impact sending it spiraling downward.
The Rathalos hit the ground hard, its body skidding across the clearing as dirt and debris flew in every direction. It let out a final, desperate roar, its body trembling as it tried to rise. I didn’t give it the chance. With a powerful leap, I nded on its chest, my cws sinking deep into its scales as I forced it's jaws open and poured all elements at my disposal into my breath and ejected it in a multicoloured beam into it's throat.
I might be a sadist, because watching the life ebb from it's eyes was beyond satisfying. Seriously though, fuck this thing. I'm gonna be sore in the morning. I only hope, my mate, my I?a is okay. She's as strong as I am, and I did my best to make sure to get some practice in. Right now, though, I'm starving.
