Unaware of her presence being known, Hanna awoke with a grunt, slowly crawling out of the hollow before standing up and stretching, a satisfying series of pops as her back, shoulders, wrist, fingers and knees all were cracked before she rolled her shoulder, checking her wounds. To her amazement, instead of a big, nasty scab that inhibited her movement, she had a rge, pale-pink splotch of flesh. She touched it in wonder and was further amazed that it wasn't scar tissue. It was...just new skin? She had healed so wholly that she didn't have any scars.
She smiled, broadly then decided it was time to go get breakfast, and while she does so, she may as well explore.
To that end she leaves her little home and goes out to where she found the pond before climbing up the hill and heading deeper into the forest. On the way there she found some marvelous pnts and insects. The fshbug had given a mere hours worth of bioenergy, and the crunch and gooey texture of its insides actually made her throw up. But the trait she got was rather interesting, fsh burst released a blinding fsh of light. A trait like this could potentially save her life or secure a kill.
Such an ability for a measly year of life was well worth the investment.
Unfortunately, none of the pnts she had ate had bestowed any bioenergy or traits to her, but they did help her fill her stomach, despite their uncooked texture tasting weird. The mushrooms were especially unpleasant.
Anyways, she came to a path, woth two pitcher looking pnts on a hill, and a sheer cliff face covered in vines on the other hillside. The forest was, and always has been rather beautiful, so she wasn't in a hurry today. This was...nice.
Then something crashed into her arm, causing her to give a yelp of pain as she was sent flying into the rock wall. Adrenaline surged and she grit her teeth as she saw...a bug eyed peacock?
A quick query to the system had given her an answer.
「Pukei-Pukei; cssification; Bird Wyvern.」
Whatever this thing was, it was a feast. She grinned with excitement as she tensed her muscles, ignoring her probably broken arm as she rocketed forward and jabbed her fingers forward, seeking to blind the creature, but apparently the angry beast was more wyvern than bird, as it ducked its head under the blow and spat at Hanna.
She grit her teeth as purple sludge spshed against her skin, some it getting in her mouth. Immediately she felt the burning sensation of her insides being attacked by the toxin. Fury filled her and she brought her elbow down and her knee up to pinch the monsters head between the two.
It worked, a satisfying crack splitting the air before she got headbutt by the beast in her gut.
They separated and she dug the balls of her feet in the ground to prevent herself from loosing distance.
She and the monster stared each other down and before they began to circle around one another.
The Pukei-Pukei's green-blue plumage turned red as the feathers around its neck bristled. It let out a screeching roar before it regarded her.
Hanna grinned viciously. "Oh, I'm gonna make a fucking down bed out of you...!"
