After great deal of evening family dinner with their guest, Law and Lami were brought to sleep upstair by Anna, while Kimimaro and Smith sitting on the sofa facing each other on the living room.

  Occasionally gncing back at the corner of his living room, Smith clicked his tongue in amazement. There stood real skeleton of human which had been assembled by Smith and Law with Kimimaro asistance before they had dinner.

  Kimimaro chuckled as he saw missing skull of the skeleton, apparently Lami doesn't want to apart with her new skull, she brought it with her when she went to sleep much to her mother distress.

  "You have amazing familiy doctor..." Kimimaro called upon Smith prompting the ter to ugh.

  "Hahaha thank you sir. They're my greatest treasures!" Said the doctor.

  for a while both of them had small talks, Smith look much more rexed in front of Kimimaro in contrast on his atitude in the afternoon.

  Kimimaro's eyes fshed briefly, he thought that the time was right for him to start his pn on Flevance seeing Smith rexed atitude.

  Putting his cup of milk, Kimimaro spoke, "...Flevance death mark, what do you say about it doctor?"

  Smith didn't think too much nor he hold suspicion, he replied, "...I don't know too much regarding those death mark, it said that when a person of Flevance descent were about to die, the white patch mark would always appear on their body, the more those mark appear, the sooner they'll meet their end."

  The knowledge about Death curse of Flevance was already spread toward even their surrounding Kingdom. Just like Smith said, the white patch like mark will appear only to those of Flevance descendants.

  "No, what i want to ask is, what do you say as medical practitonaire?" Kimimaro patiently lead Smith in conversation.

  Smith shook his head, "As a medical person, i always adhere to cause and effect. There will be no effect without cause, and i see the mark as the effect, as for the cause...."

  He paused slightly, then he heard Kimimaro asking, "Do you have Flevance popution data doctor? Whats the ratio between Flevance popuce now and 10 years ago?"

  Smith tried to remember as he frowned, "10 years ago? I seems to get the data just recently, we have around 3.2 million?"

  "And now?"

  "...Hmm, 3.01 million?"

  "How about 20 years ago?"

  Smith paused as he frowned deeper, without warning he stood up and went upstairs just for a moment before he returned with a stack of papers.

  Plopping back on the sofa, Smith began to look from the papers, and soon, under Kimimaro gaze, the doctor face showing much concern!

  "Impossible! We had around 8 million popuce back then!" Excimed Smith as he looked at another paper feeling dreaded.

  If the popution reduction from 10 years ago showed him a decrease of only 190 thousands people, anyone could associate it to war or normal occurance such as old age. but the reduction of more than 3/4 popution in the span of 20 years?

  Smith felt something disturbing, this was no coincidence! While Smith was deep in thought, Kimimaro asked once again.

  "Doctor, do you have any posthumous data regarding those who died in between 20 years ago until 10 years ago?"

  Trafalgar Smith was Flevance Royal hospital Dean, despite he lived humbly with his family, he hold a rather significant stature in Flevance.

  This position of him lead Kimimaro to start his pn to rescue Flevance from its impeding doom.

  Smith looked back and forth between Kimimaro and the papers, soon he reached his Den-den Mushi(snail phone) and asked the hospital to bring him the data asked by Kimimaro.

  Feeling it wasn't enough, Smith requested for the recent data as well from 10 years ago, he had an inkling that there was a "cause" he was looking for despite he still wasn't aware that he had been lead by Kimimaro. He thought that they were only had a casual talk in evening.

  Due to Smith position as Dean, the hospital staff brought the data he requested in no time.

  Soon, Smith began to read the data ranging from 20 years ago until now, Kimimaro calmly sit there and waiting.

  "This is unbelievable!" Smith excimed,

  "Doctor? What did you find?"

  Smith spoke as kept his eyes on the papers, "...20 years ago until 10 years ago, 68% caused of death was due to mortal wound..."

  Kimimaro nodded, "It might have something to do with Avalo Pizarro...."

  Smith agreed, "Yes, it might be. But, from the rest of 32% death. Everyone had death mark on their body! Could it be they were all died due to old age? But..."

  "How about the recent 10 years doctor?" Kimimaro interupt Smith thought, prompting the tter to search once more.

  several moments ter, Smith was seen loosing his grip on the papers as he had deadly pale face and look towards Kimimaro.

  "2% mortal wound, 98% with death mark..." Smith couldn't concealed his horror on his tone.

  Smith was seemingly on the edge of an abyss when he saw the data, from his casual search he could pull a conclusion that the death mark of Flevance was not something to show when the people were about to die like a count down!

  He was sure with all his dignity as a doctor that the cause of death in the past 10 years was the death mark itself!

  But, what caused the death mark? And why now? what he had missed? Smith tried to find the answer only to hear Kimimaro once again.

  "There must be the data regarding the average age of death on the paper right doctor?"

  Smith gulped as he read the papers thoroughly, as he read, his eyes widen more and more. He felt that his body had fallen into the icy cavern!

  Sweat poured out of his body, drenching his casual outfit.

  "The average death for 15 to 10 years ago was 64, for 10 to 5 years ago was 56, and the average death in the st 5 years was 40! Sir! What's going on?! Could it be that the death mark of Flevance really is a curse?" Smith was in panic, seeing the declining numbers on age of death in Flevance, he felt terrified!

  If the down trend continue, Smith was sure that in future it might become an average death at the age of 20, 10 or worse come to worst death after birth for the newly born baby!

  In between his thought, Smith inadvertently recalled about his children, he was unwilling to let his children to become the death mark victim!

  And much to his horror, Smith remembered that he once saw the white patch on Law's back and small patch on Lami's belly! As the white mark was only something Flevanese had eversince their birth, Smith doesn't think too much about it. but now,

  "Oh my god!" Smith stood abruptly and began to walk back and forth in the living room ignoring Kimimaro who from the start to finish only sitting there.

  Suddenly,

  "What are you panicking for?! calm down!" Stern voice of Anna coming from the stairs, prompting Smith to calm himself down.

  "Sit!" Anna ordered her husband nonchantly and Smith despite his agitation obeyed her to sit down.

  Much to Kimimaro intriguing gaze, Anna locked her gaze toward him.

  "Speak! I know there's something you want from us right? Stop leading my husband like this!" Anna growled at Kimimaro with menacing tone.

  Kimimaro was surprised at Anna, a seemingly clumsy housewife and a muscle head, had a rather terrifying sense. She knew that Kimimaro deliberately leading the conversation!

  Actually, Kimimaro wasn't too subtle in his insinuation either, as, he felt quite intrigued at the woman who sit with her arms folded seemingly waiting an expnation.

  "Huh? huh? What are you talking about Anna?" Smith still wasn't aware on the situation, however, he could still sense that his wife had hold dissatisfaction toward the young Marine.

  "Silence!" Anna scolded, her eyes sharply locked toward the ever smiling Marine in front of her, trying to find his intention.
