“Come on Akira, we need to tell everyone.”

  “Right.”

  We both quickly made our way back out into the open room we were once in, a few people giving questioning expressions given our current state, but we had no time to dwindle. I continued to pull Akira along, as we made our way across the school and back to the dormitories. We almost stumbled over one another as we burst through the doors of the dorms, everyone inside looking a little concerned. Ivy was the first to speak,

  “Wow- that was quite the entrance, everything alright?” She probably already felt our distress but we still tried to calm down before speaking.

  “We may have some information about Mira and Scarra’s locations”

  Ssher nearly jumped out of her spot on the couch

  “What?! How?” Akira dejectedly looked down before responding.

  “Well..It’s complicated but, we saw a god here, or, we kind of saw one. But he wasn’t like you all, at least that’s what we think” he looked back at me waiting for me to continue.

  “Adam is his name. When I checked his magical signature, I saw the same golden light that comes from us, but I don’t think we are going against a Demigod.” Jackson’s face contorted into fear as he looked back at us

  “Are you implying we are going against a pure god? Like the ones in the celestial realms?”

  “I’m not sure, but if that man has that signature, he must be connected to the others somehow.”

  “One more thing” Akira interjected

  “That man..He’s my brother.” The group gasped as the looked at him

  “So you’re telling me you are reted to a mad man who may have kidnapped their siblings?!” Ivan looked almost horrified, I had never seen him that way.

  “No! I mean, he was never like that when we were kids, and he sure as hell isn’t a god, but there was a moment where I didn’t see him for some time, I don’t know what could’ve happened during those years.”

  “I have an idea.” A faint voice rang out from behind the others as Sierras face came into view.

  “What if we’re dealing with some form of control? That would expin the golden aura and the change in action.” Ssher looked at her with a confused look.

  “Why the hell would a god care about an average Joe? I mean Akira is just a fire elemental, so his brother would be too.”

  “That may be connected to why he took the younger more vulnerable children, not me and Mezu” Jackson replied

  “He’s looking for the weak to prey on..what an asshole.” Ivan retorted

  I shook my head and replied “Regardless of his moral compass, this needs to be stopped, if he can get those two to harness their abilities better, us and the rest of Alynthi are screwed.” Chris nodded in agreement.

  “We need a pn, if he is as big of a threat as we think he is, we can’t go in guns bzing.”

  Ivan scoffed “Then wait for them to come to us” Chris crossed his arms and sighed, looking annoyed.

  “Yeah, just let the gang of murderous magical beings come to the academy and destroy everything.”

  “I’m serious! That Adam guy clearly is trying to be sneaky about this, he won’t come directly to us but he’ll lurk and find a moment to catch us off guard. If we can locate him before that ambush we will at least be able to gather their siblings and get them back to safety. Then we can face him head on in his own little hideout once we have all the information.” The group paused before Jackson spoke up.

  “That’s not a bad idea, we would need to make sure nobody got hurt in the crossfire though.”

  “The woods.” Sierra mumbled

  “Huh?”

  “If we go to the woods he is sure to follow, he will assume we know nothing and try to ambush, it would be our best chance to catch him without the risk of others.” There were a few mumbles of agreement before another thought came to me.

  “Wait, If we want to defeat him, we all need to train. Unfortunately with our current powers we would barely be able to defeat a fellow Demigod, let alone someone possessed by a true god.”

  “True, hell half of us don’t even know how to use weapons” Ssher responded

  Chris looks out towards everyone “Then we train, it’s as simple as that”

  “Uhm..What about us?” Ivy pointed to herself and Ivan.

  “We aren’t exactly deadly”

  “Speak for yourself Ivy” he was quickly shut up with Ivy smacking him over the head.

  “Hm..support? We may face heavy casualties during this and we will probably need healers” I replied

  “Got it! I can do that then”

  Ivan wheezed after having the wind knocked out of him “Me..Too..”

  “Then it’s settled, we’ll train up and get ready to face him!” With our pn settled, it was only a matter of time before it would py out, but we didn’t know what was ahead of us.

  “Sir! I have info!” A man with a long robe walked up to Adam, his footsteps echoing in the rge building.

  “Yes, what is it?”

  “A few of your followers have been starting riots! What should we do?”

  “Kill them obviously, Scarra is there for a reason, use her abilities.”

  “Are you sure-? That seems a bit drasti-“

  “DID I ASK FOR YOUR OPINION?! I SAID KILL THEM DAMMIT.”

  “Y…Yes sir, I’ll get on that” Adam ughed

  “Oh don’t you worry, I’m sure there’s someone more suitable for your position”

  “W…Wait! I’m sure we can work something out!”

  “Apologies but I have made up my mind”

  “No-! Please I wanna live-! DONT KILL M-“ a loud bang rang through the halls as a sinister ugh cut through the eerie silence.

  “Such a cry baby, honestly why was he your advisor”

  “Right on time Ms Scarra, I have a question for you.”

  “I’m sure I have an answer sir.”

  “Get Mira out of her cell, tell her we’re going on a little trip to see her family.”

  “Hehe! Anything for you Adam! I suppose I’ll be tagging along as well?”

  “Yes of course, you can say hello to them as well.”

  Scarra ughed maniacally as she ran back down the halls. When she made it to the end, there was a small stairwell leading to the dungeons

  “It’s a surprise Adam still keeps that fragile thing..”

  She walks down the corridor until she is face to face with the woman on the floor.

  “Wakey wakey! Adam wants you out, says he’s taking you on a little trip”

  “T….Trip? Why….?”

  “I dunno, and I sure as hell don’t know why he wants to bring you, maybe he just wants you as his little p puppy. But what he wants aside, you need to get out.”

  “O…..Okay” she shakily stands up, her own legs barely stable enough to hold her up, but she is able to stay upright.

  “Take all day why don’t you, come on, he’s up there” She begins walking back up to the previous room, not even bothering to help the other. Mira leans against the chamber walls and sighs, before softly speaking

  “Maybe…Maybe I can get out of here, I just want to be free again..”

  With her thoughts mumbled into reality, she slowly makes her way upwards, following after Scarra.
