"Long ago humanity ruled the planet in peace and harmony until the **Fears** came to be, they are powerful beings that drove us to extinction. But by the grace of our Lord and Savior, humanity was gifted the power to fight against these entities, the chosen few were the Conquerors who also built our glorious walls and kept us safe from the horrors beyond! they...."
"Girl would you quit your yapping, am trying to eat" said her friend interrupting this great story of man!
She froze with arms outstretched in grandeur, struggling to manage her temper until a vein popped
"Oh yeah! Is your food that good! well enjoy it damnit"
"It's not my fault that your always yapping! you haven't even touched your food" replied her friend blissfully chewing on her sodium-rich burgers with a side of fries......mmmm delicious
"Your the one who asked which conqueror is my favorite!"
Her friend waved her off, still munching "Yes I did.....mmm....but Nuru...[chewing]....your the one who's obsessed"
Nuru bit her tongue ready to drop the subject but not before leaving a final blow "At least I don't have a body pillow of Altover"
Stella's face turned beet read as a wave of embarrassment washed her face "shhhh! you promised not to tell anyone!"
"Relax, is not like anyone heard" said Nuru gesturing to the humongous cafeteria filled with faces both new and old.
"You bitch, God I hate you" Stella muttered trying to hide her flaming cheeks as Nuru giggled.
"Someone got a body pillow?" said an eccentric voice jolting Stella to a heart pounding panic.
"Iinka! Please don't say it loud" pleaded the helpless Stella
"Where have you been since last night, you didn't even answer your calls" asked Nuru leaning on her chair with a flamboyant flair
Vaulting into the empty seat with grin greeted Iinka, "How you doing girls, did you miss me!"

"Yeah we did! did you get kidnapped or something " said Nuru,
"yeah you said you were coming and just went dark, what happened?" added Stella.
"Nha am too pretty to be kidnapped" Iinka shrugged.
"Good to know your still stupid" Nuru shot back,
"Hahaha" Stella chuckled "so what happened! it better be good"
Iinka scanned around with a grin, checking for suspicious eyes before leaning in close and pulling out a sliver-lined wallet form her tight shorts, a wallet with the embroidery: D.T.F
"No fucking way!" Stella gawked as she carefully examines the wallet while Nuru was left wide eyed and speechless "how? No way this is real!"
Iinka leaned back, soaking their reactions with legs on high "Guess how much I snatched"
"Iinka please tell me you picked this on the road, please tell me your not crazy" Nuru begged.
Iinka groaned at her nagging, responding with a nonchalant vibe: "Chill out a bit, I met this rich guy last night, he paid me for a night, I swiped that before I left his house this morning"
"Oh my God! It's 380,000 creds!" Stella gasped,
"What! Iinka this no joke, what if the Watchers came after you!" said Nuru,
"Iinka quick you need to pray! before God gets angry!" added Stella with eyes shut and hands clasped together
Iinka's smile dulled as she stared at the repetitive ceiling "Don't worry......God will understand"
"Iinka this belongs to a conqueror!" said Nuru
"Relax, he wasn't any big shot or anything plus I left his ID for him" replied Iinka, still the tension did not subsided and the once buzzing cafeteria now faded under the weight of her words.
Luckily a loud horn ruptured the thick air, followed by an AI voice: "All wrks please report for assignment"
Iinka took a deep breath and placed her calming hands and their shoulders, pulling them closer: "sorry for worrying you gals, I promise nothing will happen, we will always be together", she gave them a light kiss and an affirming smile afterwards
"You promise" Nuru asked softly,
"At least tell me you've prayed" asked Stella,
"Yes I have and yes I won't go away, now go on before they cut your bonus"
Stella gave a light nod before they got up,
"Hey Nuru aren't you gonna eat your snack?" asked Iinka
"Nha doc says I gotta lay of salty things, you can have it if you want" she replied, prompting Iinka to snatch it
"Hehe thanks, but you've already eaten right?"
Nuru quickly replied with a smile "Don't worry about me, am alright"
"Oh shit we are gonna be late!" Said Stella as they both bolted to their stations.
They ran until they reached their junction, where they hugged and split off to their separate roads.
It was a busy race filled with obstacles and people to be parkoured over, from dumpster to pole and to the roof Nura leapt, landing effortlessly on the stone stairs and grinding on the metal rails
"Hey watch it bitch!" barked an angry wall but she did not acknowledge it's existence and continued down the hall, curving through the passage and sliding to the booth:
With a pounding hearth and a bubbling breath she crashed into the wall and slammed her ID under the glass:
"Nuru Gol reporting!"
The attendant gave her a long and disappointed stare "your 57 seconds late and don't ask me to ignore it!"
"Johnny don't do me like this, just cross it of, I promise I'll be nice" Nuru said with a dazzling smile
He looked back into those puppy eyes and before pulling out and returning her ID "block 13", Nuru sent a kiss his way and ran off "Thanks love!"
She put on her apron and wore her hair net, slotted her gloves and got in line.
It was a soft conveyor belt that stood in front of her, sending down hundreds of eggs to be wrapped and stacked in thousands of boxes. She was far form the only one present, hundreds just like her staking eggs with the precision of a sniper.
The more you packaged = the bigger the pay, only speed mattered here and she was fast.
Her hands fired like bolts from God, wrapping the eggs before they could think and gently tossing them into the boxes, seconds bled to hours and yet her hands were still steady and fast, many had given up but she continued until her heart stopped.
Before she could scream, her hands were numb and her head had already reached the floor, her eyes were open yet nothing made sense except the words that gazed back with an unrelenting force:
"Goodnight"
