Starlight shone down on a temporary camp as a lone woman with pink hair flipped a knife between her fingers. The three men she was waiting for were currently getting drunk in the centaur vilge tavern. They had left her to set up the camp.
The three gold was enough for them to buy enough liquor to make sure they don't remember the night but they never bothered to ask her what the males wish was.
Freedom.
What did it mean? The djinn was still trying to figure it out. Freedom from the stupid wish that had forced her into this submissive position? No she could do better than that.
The male had left the wish so open ended.
'I wish for you to be free.'
It was so simple so easy to twist yet she found herself thinking it over. The power swelling between her fingertips was just begging to be used, the power of a djinn would force her to grant the wish before midnight so she had a little bit of time to figure out what she wants.
So how to get the most from it? It brought her back to her first question. What was freedom? And how she could make it the best she could.
Rowdy ughter could be heard in the distance. Apparently they'd drunk through their gold already.
The djinn hissed. Her choice would have to be quick.
Free her from all past, present and future wishes. That sounded good but didn't quite cover everything.
The tent fp opened and the djinn made her choice. The wish took affect and she instantly felt the restrictions pced on her fall away. She could breathe without asking, move with her own will. It was almost orgasmic to the djinn.
Raining in the feeling she turned to the elves. It would be even better to feel their life go out. But one of them deserved so much more the one that wished for her servitude.
Waiting till all three of them were in the tent was almost painful for the djinn. The thoughts of pain and anguish allowing her to keep still.
"Ay Reff, think I can wish for more beer from the smoky thing?"
"Nah 'hick' she wouldn't give you anything that would get you drunk."
Two were inside, one more.
"Dam monster. What use are you? Can't even 'hic' provide your masters with something so simple."
Oh she was going to enjoy tearing out this elves tongue. She could already taste his blood.
"Stop talking to her. If you make the wrong wish you only have yourself to bme."
Finally the third one came inside the tent. Time to begin.
A djinns power is mostly in granting wishes but there is a little bit they can do without, and these men were about to find that out.
With a flick of her wrist the tent became sealed in a different dimension. No escape.
"Are you sure there isn't a way to get some booze of her? The brat didn't give us enough to feel buzzed."
That was the final straw. She may not know him but he did save her.
Without any fir the pink haired djinn grabbed the man closest to her and jabbed her dagger through the bottom of his jaw. The look of suprise on his face was everything she wanted and more.
Removing the bde she let it float beside her with her power and reached into his mouth to yank out his tongue. He tried to resist but with his fading strength it was nothing to the djinn.
His jaw broke before she finally tore his tongue out bathing her body in his blood. It would make a good snack.
An arrow passed through her body, if she had a heart it would have pierced it. The elf holding the crossbow didn't seem to understand what just happened.
Her body was only as physical as she wanted it to be. To bath in blood she yes, to be hit by an arrow, no.
Her smile broke the edges of her face expanding well past a normal creature. Reality was her's within this domain.
"I wish for you to stop!"
The wish seemed to brush right past the djinn with no effect. The djinn couldn't contain her excitement. She was truly free.
She disappeared briefly before appearing in front of the elf with a crossbow. He dropped the weapon in favour of his sword but like the bolt from the crossbow it passed harmlessly through her body.
He elf started to swear in many different nguages but the djinn didn't care, she summoned the bde to her hand and cut his throat letting the red liquid cover her like a second skin.
One left, and the one who originally forced her into svery. Oh she was going to enjoy this. The times she'd invisioned this seemed so sweet but now. Now it was time to make those dreams a reality.
The elf in question was trying to open the tent fp but with the fact they were now in the djinns private dimension it wouldn't open without her permission. That didn't stop him from trying however and his panicked attempts only widened her smile.
Like a fly in a web just waiting for the spider.
Leisurely the pink haired djinn started to walk towards the elf, having created some legs to extend his torment or so she hoped. Her dagger slowly spun around her hand still dripping fresh blood.
The elf swore and began throwing bdes he kept hidden in his cloak, each one harmlessly passing through the djinns body. If she could have ughed at his panic she would have but she made due with her smile.
"I wish you would stop."
Again the wish seemed to flow past her, some small part she could almost touch. It felt nostalgic like a dream she'd had except she could touch it to bring it into reality. Not that she was going to but the option was there if she wanted to.
The elf tried to run as the djinn came within arm's reach but she didn't let him. A flick of her hand and the floating bde sliced through the air severing the tendon in his left leg.
The elf fell with a cry of pain and the bde returned to its orbit around the djinn, but she quickly sent it back at his other leg immobilizing the helpless man.
He still tried to crawl on his hands and knees away from her slow pace. Annoyance started to wither at her smile, she needed him to stop moving, to stay still for her pns.
But he didn't need his arms.
Heat began to build in the bdes edge. Not a mercy he didn't deserve that but she also didn't want him to bleed out. Call it extended agony.
Feeling the bde was hot enough it moved with a thought, stabbing the elf in his left arm and cauterizing the wound as everything past he's elbow removed itself from his body.
He shrieked from the pain, his remaining arm moving to cover the stump.
"You daughter of a mud toad." He screamed at her throwing his st dagger. It didn't do anything.
Try again. She thought. It wouldn't matter so long as she got to watch this part.
Her dagger began to drag itself excruciatingly slowly up his chest, the tip digging in only inches but her heat was enough to blister his skin.
He tried to hold a straight face as the bde approached his throat but he knew that death was close. Almost sensing the same thought the djinn called he bde back to her hand.
"Do it. Prove you're the monster we all think you are."
Oh she was going to. The hesitation in her gaze was only because she couldn't quite find the most fitting way to end him.
The tongue from the first elf found its way into her hand and she absent mindedly started to nibble as the thought.
Cut his head off? No too quick.
Remove his organs one by one? No she didn't know what ones were important enough to keep him alive.
Drown him? Potentially.
At the st bite of her meal she made a decision. He was going to drown him in his own blood.
A ugh gurgled up from the depth of her throat, a sound that terrified the elf way more than the bde hovering over his chest.
"Please I wish to live."
Still no effect from the wish. If she could talk there were a few things she wanted to stay, a few insults that this creature deserves to hear but she would have to make due with actions.
Stabbing the dagger into the right side of his chest just deep enough to find his lung, she knelt down her full attention on watching the light fade from his eyes.
It started with a cough, blood dripping from the side of his mouth. It bubbled into his throat, each breath filled his lungs more and more.
He knew he was dying but his body still fought to live. The djinn reveled in the panic on his face. It was so much better than her dreams.
Wheezing the st of the air in his lungs the elf began to choke, blood leaked from his mouth only to get sucked back down in his desperate attempt to get anything that wasn't blood into his lungs.
Lurching forward onto his one remaining arm he spewed more blood as his lungs gave one final attempt to get oxygen. Giving the djinn a final look in an attempt to beg for forgiveness he colpsed his final breaths choked by the very thing that kept him alive.
Smiling the djinn severed his head just to make sure he was dead. She did the same with the other two elves and created a person storage dimension to keep them for ter.
Her work now done she colpsed the temporary dimension and returned to the real world.
The stars still shone and the beasts of the night were quite, not a soul except her own knew what had just transpired. It almost made her giddy.
She was free for the first time in forever and no new wish could ensve her again. She needed to celebrate, to thank the human that had made this possible, to protect him.
The path back to the centaur vilge was easy to find even in the dark not that she'd have needed it as she could track all the people that had ever made a wish with her just from her power alone.
Oh this would be great. She could pce him in her personal dimension far away from anything that could do him harm. Then spoil him with everything he could ever want. It would be perfect, just him and her forever.
As the vilge began to get closer a strange pressure started to form around the djinn. All the grass seemed to bend like a weight had suddenly came over them and the single tree started to groan as it's branches were almost touching the ground.
Something was coming. Something stupid enough to think it could take on a djinn. She almost ughed at the possibility. Nothing could kill a djinn it just wasn't possible, they were beings of pure essence not a creature of flesh and blood. But the feeling of doubt began to fester. Whatever this was it was at least strong enough to get her attention.
The djinn stopped walking and summoned her bde, the very air seemed to run away in fear. Just what was coming?
Sensing a disturbance behind her the djinn turned already sending her dagger at the creature. She would not let whatever it was get between her and her human.
Rayna caught the bde between her fingers, the centaur Paragon calmly walking out of a tear in space. The djinn pulled her hand to her chest, a move that should have brought her bde back to her but it remained firmly in the Paragons hand.
Impossible. The djinn screamed inside her own mind. That bde was a part of her no one should be able to stop it. Rayna didn't care for the djinns termoil and began to crush the bde inside her grip.
While she could recreate the bde if need be it was time consuming and not worth losing it over. So she threw her arms up into the air summoning a temporary dimension around herself that captured the centaur. She was now in her pypen.
Rayna tilted her head at the new surroundings as magma began to burn the ground around her. An interesting trick but she didn't bring any clothes for this environment. Stomping her hoof the dimension shattered like gss returning them to the field.
Surprised at the sudden interruption especially within her own dimension the djinn for the first time in her life felt fear. She'd been angry at the elf for ensving her but she had never feared him because her could never harm her. This centaur could break her connection to her bde and destroy her dimensions.
The djinn panicked, pulling herself into her own personal dimension and sealing it away. If she could wait long enough maybe she could get the human another time when this monster had left. That sounded like a good idea.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a horrible tearing sound as the very fabric of reality tore in front of her and a hand reached through grabbing her around the throat and pulling her back into the real world.
Rayna gazed at the djinn almost bored.
"You are an interesting creature but one I can't have interrupting my pns. Although maybe you could be useful to me." She thought for a while her hand never leaving the djinn. The slight pressure was enough to cause her prey to freeze. "I think you could be very useful to me. Would you like to live little djinn?"
The djinn nodded frantically.
"Good. I want you to watch the human named Lazarus from afar. Protect him if he needs it but let him grow. Do not hide him away and cause him to stagnant am I clear?" Raynas words were punctuated with the force of a typhoon, easily fttering the grass and causing the tree to fold in on itself. "If I find out you have tried to hide him from me I will tear the very essence from your soul, you will wish for death long before you get it. Am I clear?"
Again the djinn nodded the slight tension from the centaur was pulling her power away, a slight reminder that it wasn't an empty threat.
"Good."
With a thought Rayna teleported both of them in front of Araths house.
"Remember from afar."
With that she released the djinn who quickly turned invisible. Not that it had much effect of the Paragon who tracked her movements with a leisurely tilt of her head. But it was enough to satisfy her.
Rayna took one st look at the house Lazarus lived in a small smile curling its way into her lips. Soon she thought. He better not keep her waiting forever.
And with that she left before her self control ran out.
"A djinn." She mumbled to herself when she was out of earshot. "Didn't think he would attract the attention of one of those but he is unique. I really shouldn't be surprised."
