Skill points - 53
Four days passed without incident. I'd set a rather slow pace for our group stopping around midday each time.
This slow pace had allowed me to help Willow with her archery as after we'd set up our campsite I'd take my brown mare to the side and we would shoot arrows at a target until the sun touched the horizon.
This was for two reasons. The first was simple in that she needed as much practice as she could get before we reached the dungeon and the second was that even though it was only a stationary target she still received skill points after a while of shooting. So she was starting to have a decent collection of skills by the time we reached the entrance. Her favorite was a skill called scouts arrow. When it hit the ground it would highlight all living creatures in an area around the arrow for a short duration. Kind of like my presence detection but longer ranges. She could also designate friendlies to see the highlights as well.
Support wasn't her only focus as in combination with her skill that allowed her to move the arrow mid air she'd purchased a skill that occasionally made an arrow sink further into its target than it should have. I didn't understand a lot of how she said it worked and ended up just comparing it to a critical hit type skill.
While I was helping Willow Arath would do a patrol around the area to see if there were any predators we needed to be weary of or if we were being followed. Once she was happy she met up with Kayalett and would do a bit of weaving in the hopes to get a skill point or two before we reached the dungeon. I was also happy to get another pair of pants out of this endeavor.
Once the sun started to set Willow would start cooking and we would begin Araths least favorite part of this whole trip. I'd managed to pursue Kayalett to increase my poison and acid resistance while we waited under both her and Araths guidance. This would also increase my regeneration as a nice bonus.
Arath really hated this part but after expining to her that when the elves did try and kill me poison would be their first method she relented. I did notice her practicing with her own healing spells but if it kept her mind at ease it was a small price to pay.
So while we waited for dinner I would let Kayalett bite my arm to inject her venom in a small dose then do the same with her acid in my other hand. This had been great for my skills as I'd gained four levels in acid resistance and a whooping nine in poison resistance. Not a bad haul, but the best part was when I got the notification on the fourth day that Zemelly and Vataria had offered their skill points finally putting me over the edge.
"The dungeon should be behind this waterfall." Arath said looking at the waterfall in question with Raynas map in her hands. "We just need to get through somehow."
I let out a chuckle. Of course the secret dungeon was hidden behind a waterfall why wouldn't it be?
"Is now a good time to mention I can't swim?" Kayalett was hesitant to say as she poked the water with one of her long legs.
"I've never tried to before either." Willow mumbled as she untched herself from the cart.
My two centaurs had taken turns pulling the cart during our trip with Arath taking the majority of the time. Willow tried her best but her domestic life and smaller build didn't let her keep up with my head mares endurance.
"I'd be much more comfortable climbing the rocks to reach it. I could possibly set up a pulley with my silk to help Willow across?" Kayalett offered after deciding the still water by her feet had won their little stare off.
"Whatever you do has to be removed when we reach the other side." I said back to her. "We will be leaving the cart behind but I'd rather not show anyone where we are exactly if they happen to stumble across it while we're gone."
"Agreed. Willow, Kayalett you two set up camp tonight. We will enter the dungeon tomorrow morning, you have till then to figure out how to get over." Arath directed them. While she did sound commanding that image was lost the moment you looked in her direction. Arath was almost shaking with excitement and kept sneaking gnces in my direction.
I hadn't told her I'd reached fifty skill points but she seemed to know regardless. This was probably why she told the other two to set up, she wanted to get her evocation now and I couldn't agree more.
Giving my red head a nod she got the meaning instantly. Kayalett was in the midst of getting Willows measurements for whatever she was pnning to to and just offhandedly shewed the two of us away with one of her arms.
Arath didn't wait any longer to pick me up and run to the far side of the stream for some privacy. Not that I thought we needed it but sure.
Pcing me down she began to strip and at this point I finally found my voice. "Umm why are you taking your shirt off? Not that I'm compining at all."
Not stopping, Arath wiggled out of her bra and got started on her dress. "Because my love I'd rather not rip these if something were to happen and if nothing happens then I need to bathe to remove all the sweat I've collected over the past few days. Would you rather I didn't?" She finished this off by pyfully throwing her bra at me and letting the rest of her dress fall the the ground.
"Yeah no problems here." I replied taking a good long look that Arath was more than happy to pose for.
I took longer than strictly necessary to look her over but that's the perks of having a wife and eventually brought up her evocation options.
Fire. 1 skill point.
Ice. 1 skill point.
Earth. 1 skill point.
Unknown. 5 skill points.
Unknown. 5 skill points.
Primordial unknown. 50 skill points.
Still had the other options with no extras and they're still unknown. Interesting.
Well nothing to drag on now except the view.
Primordial unknown selected for 50 skill points. Are you sure?
I mentally said yes, watching Arath as her eyes gzed over in the telltale sign she was getting a notification. She stayed like that for a rather long time. Long enough for me to pick up and fold her clothes.
Part of me was slightly worried but if it was anything like when I first got my css it was to be expected. I also only had five skill points while I know Arath has been saving up as many as she possessed could since I told her about this. It wouldn't surprise me if she was already purchasing skills that I had because she knew what they were.
Fingers crossed she can get my primordial skills although part of me did think it might have been a little too hopeful.
Araths protection (-----) acquired.
Oh? That's new.
Araths protection (Padins spirit armor 14)
As I felt the skill activate the armor Arath used surrounded my limbs and torso but unlike st time I felt a slight drain within my chest as it was active. Sweet this would be my first skill that uses Mana.
Just like Willows devotion I could de-summon the armor at will so I didn't drain my Mana dry for no reason and just like Arath had with the harpy I could force it onto someone else. That doubled the drain but the option was there if I needed it.
So this must be simir to my pantheon skill where I'm sharing one of my own skills with everyone else, although none of the girls act like they have presence detection. Either way Arath has picked spirit armor to share with me and at that level I wasn't going to compin.
Arath was still silent looking through his skills as I finished up experimenting and tried to sneak up on her. I say sneak because before I even got close she snapped to look at me and that gzed look vanished.
"Oh that's what your presence detection does. That's slightly unnerving." She said tilting her head to the side.
"You only just have it I'm guessing?" I asked happy when she let me jump onto her back. I took the opportunity to reach around and hold her chest.
"I've had it for a while it's just been inactive I presume it's the same for everyone else that serves you. Usually that means you have the skill but its blocked by something, there are a few skills that can do that but it is beyond my knowledge. We could ask Rayna at some point." Arath chuckled giving my hands a squeeze that pushed them further into her boobs. "I am also happy to say that I have your Primordial limit skill. But not the full extent of it."
I pulled myself around her in a awkward angle that allowed me to look her at her face without her turning around. "What do you mean?"
"I believe it only affects skills you have." She answered while waiding into the slow current of the stream. "Because it's your skill it only seems to react with the skills of mine that we both possess. Which is a shame but not too unhelpful. I can't really compin too much in all honesty it's still ridiculously strong for a single skill point."
That was really interesting actually. It made sense in a twisted sort of way but it wouldn't be too hard for me to just purchase a skill she has even if I don't need it just so she could level it up. Although my skills would fill up with a bunch of random things if I did that with all my girls.
"But I see that you have my spirit armor. Don't get me wrong my love I have seen what you can do but you do tend to get hit a lot and regeneration can't fix everything." Arath snickered as she lowered both of us into the chilly water.
"Yeah I'll concede there. Thanks for that skill."
"No problem. Now care to wash me husband?"
