Preface
Both kingdoms of Vergessenheit and Krieg were disputing over the same territory; the war has been going on for over 30 years. However, Krieg was well known for its ruthlessness and bloodlust, their insane strength easily beat Vergessenheit’s, any and all help was needed. The only option left was to try an arranged wedding with the king of Krieg, attempting to establish a friendly connection with them. But Khosrow, the current king of Vergessenheit, was already too old to have another child, and the only two princesses were out of option. Afterall, the first one, Mona, was too cherished by whole society, Vergessenheit didn’t had the courage to offer her. And the youngest, Tess, made a complete fuss when she heard about the possible marriage, insisting that she wasn’t born to waste her life as the wife of such a “cruel and monster king”. That’s when the right-hand man of the king came in and offered his own daughter.
Being the one that ruled over the central state, where the capital was located, the Dukedom of Kaiser’s strength was such that even though the main family only had a single female daughter it did not affect their reputation. However, this daughter alone had a terrible reputation. Known for neglecting her duties as a dy and for being arrogant and rude, Beatrice was poorly regarded by all of society. Even though sending her to Krieg was dangerous, it was their only option. Besides, she was a headache to both the king and the duke, so maybe sending her away would be for the better.
In the end, Beatrice was married off to Krieg's king, Elric Krieg Scheusal de Krone. He was known for many cruel acts, killing people without batting an eye, people called him a “monster king”. Most of Krieg’s reputation of being ruthless and its bloodlust came from the cruel acts of Elric. The way he completely crushed Vergessenheit’s armies made even his own people afraid of him. All of this fame within just a few years of his reign. Although he had two children, he remained unmarried, some even dared to say that he killed the mother of his children.
Well, maybe the rumours weren’t that false. Beatrice’s marriage with Elric was terrible - although her reputation didn’t help as well.
She and the king never had a single conversation. He didn’t appear on the day of their wedding, didn’t escort her when she arrived at the castle, didn’t sleep with her on their first day married and never did once, as both of them, always, slept in different bedrooms.
The kids hated her, as she also never made any effort to try and have a good retionship with them. And rumours said that, blinded by envy and pride, Beatrice mistreated and harassed any woman that would approach Elric, from a simple maid to any noblewomen - etiquette and respect didn’t matter to her. The climax was when an assassination attempt happened on one of them, Beatrice tried to poison the tea of a renowned noblewomen, one close to Elric.
The popution, offended by all of her rude acts and for Vegerssenheit’s disrespect by sending someone so uncultured like her, demanded an execution in public square!! But the queen disappeared without a trace before any of that could happen.
A few months ter, a fire started and quickly spread throughout the capital of Krieg. The king, for some reason, knew very well who was the culprit.
He walked towards the balcony of his bedroom. And there she was. His queen. The culprit. Elric knew very well what he ought to do, and that's why he wielded his sword. And right then and there the two of them had their first conversation, but also their st.
