“Please run away. You are their primary target.” Chen Fei said to Ame. She shook her head, clearly refusing to do so.

  Chen Fei was in trouble because he saw that one of his cssmates and also the famous Mikazuki Ame was attacked. When he saw the event happening, two of Ame’s shadow guards came out to intercept the threat.

  But that left her all alone and there was still a third person who aimed at her. Chen Fei knew that she was often moving in order to get close to Tatsumi. He knew that because she was the one saying all of this to him.

  He did not know why she went looking for Tatsumi, but he could see that she had no malice against Tatsumi, so Chen Fei decided to let her get closer to Tatsumi.

  He also had a good impression of her and he also had a strong feeling that all of the events happening now were reted to Ame. But he did not expect the person who aimed for Ame to bring him here to this pce where the effect of the Malicium invaded the surroundings.

  Fortunately, one of the two shadow guards helped him out of the core region where the Malicium was located and now they had to stop the third pursuer.

  “No! You are the one who should escape. This does not concern you.” Ame said after she made up her mind from the fear that she experienced.

  “You…will…not…escape me!” a sinister voice resounded throughout the section of the park. Chen Fei furrowed his brow as he realized that the time given was too short for them to even get out of the effect of the Malicium.

  From the distortion in the air, a figure appeared. From the voice, it was a male that covered himself with a bck robe that had a red pattern all over it.

  Chen Fei grabbed Ame’s hand and ran away from the pce immediately but before they managed to run far, something came their way and Chen Fei had to release and pushed Ame to the side.

  An object came at a terrifying speed. It glittered with silver light as it passed through the space where the two had just been before.

  Then Tatsumi felt goosebumps all over his body. He who hid behind a tree could not help but feel this way.

  ‘Damn it! Looks like I’ve been detected by that person.’ Tatsumi could not move rashly but seeing that Chen Fei was still in the vicinity, he could not leave him like that.

  But Tatsumi did not expect the bck robe man to move right at Chen Fei and Mikazuki Ame instead of him.

  He tensed up and that was when he realized that he had touched something near the trunk of the tree. When his gaze moved to his hand, he found out that a dagger had stuck in the trunk of the tree. The dagger was quite exquisite but he clearly saw it as the craftsmanship of a human and not a dwarf.

  With its bck hilt and silver bde, the dagger became something that Tatsumi wanted to possess. So he pulled out the dagger from its pce while he picked two pebbles from the ground.

  ‘Since that bck-robed man realized that I am here yet not dealing with me, he is either arrogant or confident enough that he could take care of me in the meantime.’ Tatsumi's thoughts accelerated to the point of simuting some great possibilities that were going to happen from now on, to the future he wanted to achieve.

  Tatsumi had to make a bet. Since he appeared alone to chase after the two, Tatsumi believed that there was a possibility that the bck-robed man was weaker than him, some possibility that he was equal to Tatsumi in strength, and a great possibility that he was far stronger than Tatsumi.

  Tatsumi believed that the man was the st as he could see something around the man. It was something that no ordinary human ever released but the bck-robed man did.

  But he also made a bet that the man had an arrogant personality. This was based on the word the man himself uttered, he was confident that no ordinary people could escape from his grasp.

  Tatsumi wanted to exploit that trait to his advantage. So he moved closer to the bck-robed man. His right hand held the dagger in a normal way and his left hand held the two pebbles he had picked up previously.

  The hood of the robe almost covered the entirety of his face but Chen Fei and Ame could see that the man was licking his lips. He moved closer and closer to them while remaining silent throughout the process.

  Chen Fei safeguarded Ame slightly behind his back, protecting her.

  Then the man moved faster than imagined but before Chen Fei readied his defense, suddenly the bck-robed man deflected something with his left hand while he turned around, smiling deviously.

  Obviously, he realized that the peeping tom was acting against him.

  The bck-robed man realized that it was actually a small pebble but before he processed it further, something hit his left eye.

  Tatsumi actually threw both pebbles at almost the same time. He had to calcute the power behind the throw as well as the angle of his throw to hit the moving opponent. He felt fortunate that his throw hit the man.

  Tatsumi ran toward the man with a calcuted move. That move of his would undoubtedly angered the bck-robed man so he had to finish him off fast.

  “Argh!” The bck-robed man knew that something had hit his left eye. He reached out his left eye with his right hand as he felt the piercing pain invade his head.

  Chen Fei knew that someone was helping him so without hesitation, he moved to the front of the bck-robed man and pried open his left hand. Ame also moved forward and restrained the bck-robed man.

  But the bck-robed man was stronger than they thought. He then emitted a strange bck mist that made the two felt dizzy and thus weakening the restrain.

  Tatsumi who ran all the way finally had a chance to plunge the dagger into the bck-robed man’s neck.

  “Tatsumi, why are you here!?” Chen Fei realized that the one who helped the two of them was Tatsumi.

  “Shut up! Kill him first before he does something unfavorable to us!” Tatsumi yelled as he kept stabbing the neck of the bck-robed man. Blood sprayed around but Tatsumi did not care about that.

  Unfortunately, the bck-robed man finished something as a strange force pushed the three away from him. Tatsumi had no choice but to change the way he held the dagger. The bloodied dagger was now held in a reverse grip.

  Ame cast a worried look at Tatsumi. She also did not expect him to be here at this time but reality told her that was the case.

  “Damn it!” Tatsumi knew that the opponent was stronger than him. Fortunately, he managed to nd a severe hit on the bck-robed man. Otherwise, the battle would be more difficult.

  “Damn bug! You dare to make this great person injured!” the bck-robed man was enraged as he pulsed with the bck mist emitted.

  ‘Be careful. That man is a Transcendent who utilizes undead elements.’ Kudungga commented.

  ‘A Transcendent? Him? What should I do?’ Tatsumi thought hard about how to deal with the current situation but he did not find a good solution.

  Even though he was fine, Tatsumi knew that he had only gained an advantage due to the opponent’s trait that could be exploited. If it was gone then he had nothing else to rely on.

  The bck-robed man held his neck which was still bleeding bad. But some of the injuries he sustained seemed to heal at a fast pace.

  “Let’s start with you, you annoying pest!” the bck-robed man's hatred for Tatsumi was the greatest so Tatsumi became the primary target for the bck-robed man.

  The bck-robed man now was serious so he employed his usual tactic. He threw some darts from his sleeve. It was hidden weapons that was concealed from sight.

  But Tatsumi was someone who had observed the bck-robed man’s action earlier so he had anticipated this move.

  ‘Be careful, kid! The hidden weapon is probably coated with poison.’ Kudungga added.

  ‘Remove the probably. It is definitely coated with poison.’ Tatsumi commented while he deflected one dart while dodging the other.

  The bck-robed man then moved closer while he kept throwing things at Tatsumi.

  ‘He is surprisingly confident in close quarters.’ Tatsumi added this to his mind but he could not help but do the same. It was because he had no other things to throw.

  After a series of deflecting and dodging, Tatsumi finally saw the bck-robed man at a point where both of them could do a melee.

  The bck-robed man swung his left hand at Tatsumi. Tatsumi used the reverse grip dagger to block it. Tatsumi now knew that the bck-robed man was definitely stronger since his right hand went numb.

  But he also paid attention to the rest of the bck-robed man’s body and as expected, his vision of looking fully at the opponent’s body paid off.

  The bck-robed man delivered a right-leg kick at Tatsumi. Tatsumi went to the right and moved backward a bit to barely dodge that.

  Then the bck-robed man wanted to continue sshing at Tatsumi with his left hand which held a dagger but before he did that, he felt something come his way.

  It was aimed at his head so he tilted his head slightly to dodge.

  “He can even feel that attack.” Ame realized that the pebble she had thrown had been dodged easily. Despite her appearance, she was quite adept at throwing things because of her training in the family.

  But Tatsumi did not miss this chance. He moved closer to the bck-robed man and extended his right arm and sshed his torso.

  Tatsumi felt that the ssh was a hit as blood came out from the injury but then he realized that this was a feint. He quickly went into the defensive but all of a sudden, something was snapping that could be heard as Tatsumi felt that his vision dimmed for a bit.

  Then he felt pain in his torso as a left-leg kick was delivered. Tatsumi felt pain and he did not expect that he had to cough.

  When he did, he first realized that he had been flung some distance away. Secondly, he realized that his cough produced a bit of blood.

  ‘Internal injuries…this is not good. Damn it, Chen Fei. Why did you get involved in this mess!?’

  “Ah!” Chen Fei was surprised since he was a bit disoriented due to the exposure of the undead element while Ame kept throwing pebbles at the bck-robed man to dey him from getting near Tatsumi.

  ‘He is experienced too…that was a good feint. But why did he not die from such severe injuries?’ Tatsumi thought that the battle had to be prolonged a bit due to the injuries the bck-robed man had sustained but this was taking longer.

  ‘Kid, don’t compare a Transcendent to an ordinary man. You will regret it just like now.’ Kudungga warned. Tatsumi did not underestimate the bck-robed man since he did not even reach the first realm of transcendence but was still below it.

  ‘Even though he is still in the realm of Nothingness…I guess I quite regret my decision to be here.’ Tatsumi thought as he tried to stand up but all he could do was twitch his body.

  Ame could only throw pebbles as she had nothing else on her. Chen Fei was barely standing as he had to clear his head first from dizziness. But he could at least know that something had happened to Tatsumi.

  “HA, that’s all you can offer when you are fighting against this great me!” the bck-robed man then moved closer to where Tatsumi was lying.

  Tatsumi knew that he had some injuries that made it difficult to stand up but it turned out to be much worse as he tried to move his limbs but to no avail.

  He thought that since that was the case, there could only be one case for him. He would die in the hands of the bck-robed man.

  ‘They better run away after seeing me like this!’ Tatsumi thought.

  ‘Do you think that is the case?’ Kudungga interjected. Tatsumi shifted his focus slightly to the left. He saw that Chen Fei did not even run away with Ame.

  He was furious but also helpless. Every time he wanted to utter something, blood came out from his mouth.

  The bck-robed man left a trail of blood as he came to Tatsumi. He did not say anything anymore as his only wish was to kill this annoying fly that disturbed him greatly.

  He had lost all his hidden weapons, so the only thing he had was the dagger, which he often used.

  But the bck-robed man frowned slightly. He felt a chill all of a sudden. He only knew that behind him, there was a terrifying thing waiting.

  That was also the reason why Chen Fei and Ame did not run away. They saw another man behind the bck-robed man.

  He was middle-aged, judging by his appearance but he was powerful.

  ‘He is more powerful than my shadow guards!’ Ame noticed this fact and could not help but recall something that her father once mentioned.

  “He is a good one, isn’t he?” the middle-aged man said to the bck-robed man. His tone was deep and it contained killing intent.

  “Who are-“ the bck-robed man tried to say something but was interrupted by the sudden attack.

  Chen Fei understood every word the two of them said because he once resided in the Heavensend Continent so he knew that the two people in front of him likely came from there.

  As for Ame, she did not understand any word the two of them uttered but knew that the two were against each other.

  The bck-robed man then saw a headless body that felt strangely familiar. Wasn’t that his-

  Then he came to realize that he was in another pce. As for that pce, it was the Library of Consciousness.

  The middle-aged man decapitated the bck-robed man in one move. He held a short sword with him and blood flowed on it now. Chen Fei realized that the middle-aged man was not hostile to them.

  He pleaded, “Mister, please save him.” While pointing at where Tatsumi was lying. Then he went to Tatsumi to check after him. Ame did not understand the conversation but she followed after Chen Fei.

  The middle-aged man then disappeared. He went to the distorted location and after some time helped two people who went against his target.

  While this was happening, Chen Fei checked Tatsumi’s condition.

  “Where is the pce that hurts the most?” Chen Fei looked at Tatsumi and said while looking at him.

  “My torso…*cough*,” Tatsumi replied while coughing up blood.

  “Here, chew this leaf for now. It helps with body restoration.” Ame also gave Tatsumi a long and straight leaf in her hand to his mouth. Tatsumi had no choice but to chew on it because his condition was not good.

  After chewing the leaf, he felt that he could rise, so he did just that.

  “Thanks, you two.” Tatsumi reguted his breath while chewing the leaf. He felt that the leaf was quite effective in healing his body.

  “I am gd that you are alright.” Chen Fei let out a sigh of relief while Ame kept looking for something that might help Tatsumi.

  She found her own handkerchief which could be used to wipe out the blood that sprayed around his mouth.

  While they were treating Tatsumi for first aid, the middle-aged man returned with two other people. These two people then went to Ame’s side and apologized. They did it while kneeling on the ground.

  “We are sorry, Miss. We caused you to be in danger.”

  “Please rise. It is not your fault.” Ame said while forcing them to stand up.

  Chen Fei then went to the middle-aged man and said, “Thanks for helping us, Senior.”

  “No need for that. They are all the targets I was looking for.” The middle-aged man said in a ft tone but his voice had a bit of warmth in it.

  “May I ask for the Senior’s name?” Chen Fei knew that he had to know the one who saved the three of them so he had to ask.

  “Well, since I found someone to inherit all in my possession I suppose giving you my name will not matter much. I am Long Wu, the Imperial Tutor of the Crown Prince of the Qin Empire. But most people know me as a Transcendent more.” Long Wu replied.

  As early as ten years ago, the Heavensend Kingdom expanded its territory due to the recmation of the new nd in the Heavensend Continent. That was why it was more suitable to call them an empire based on the size of their territory.

  Other than that, the change of name also proved that the government had changed from before and this news was reyed to the rest of the civilization.

  Chen Fei was surprised that he met such an important figure although he did not quite understand what Long Wu meant as a Transcendent.

  “Let’s go away from this pce. We should treat him, right?” Long Wu said while he carefully pced Tatsumi on his back.

  “Then my pce will be suitable for his treatment.” Ame said. She offered this because she was indebted to Tatsumi too while Long Wu was the one who had helped them.

  This time, Long Wu replied in the nguage Ame understood.

  “Alright then, young dy. You lead the way.”

  Tatsumi on the other hand was flustered.

  ‘What about my opinion!? Hey, what about my opinion!?’

  After making sure that there was nothing left on the section of the park, not even the Malicium that was pced there nor the remains of the bck-robed man, all of them left the scene.
