But that did not stop Bruce from what he was going to do. He hoped that both sides could put down their animosity even a little with this gesture.

  ‘As long as it works, then humankind will be united. I have received information that most of the people have already sided with us due to the demonstration of the atomic bomb. Although there is some concern regarding the victim…

  ‘…but we will monitor them too to gather some information regarding the damage the bomb could potentially cause to our enemy.’

  The convoy of armored vehicles then entered the capital city. Crowds of people could be seen on the side of the rge road leading to the Royal Pace. The soldiers from the Heavensend Kingdom gave way to them due to the order from the king.

  Bruce could see the pace from the vehicle he was in. It was painted with a red-gold color scheme, the tiles that formed the roof were slightly red-brown in color while the foundation of the building was yellow-gold.

  Overall, it was something that he had never seen in the Comberth Continent.

  “That is the Forbidden Pace. The Forbidden Pace is where the king resides and handles the governance matter. It is also the symbol of the Heavensend Kingdom.” The transtor expined.

  “I can see that.” Bruce nodded in affirmation.

  After a while, the convoy arrived in front of the pace. Bruce and the transtor got out of the four-wheeled vehicle and stedied themselves after a long journey.

  Then Bruce saw the one who was reported to be the diplomat of the Heavensend Kingdom.

  “You have come to the capital city, I see.” The diplomat said before he continued, “Your representatives have informed me about this gesture for finalizing the matter. Are you satisfied?”

  “So far so good. At least I can see the sincerity of the His Majesty the King himself.” Bruce had an approving look on his face.

  At the very least, he knew that the king was someone who could consider things from a grand perspective. But he was worried too since the Snatcher had deep roots in the very kingdom and he was not sure about their retionship with the king.

  One thing for sure was that the Snatcher was above ten thousand people and below one. That was the intelligence that the Captain had gathered before.

  Based on that, Bruce knew that the Snatcher had a paramount position in the Heavensend Kingdom.

  ‘If my guess is correct, the Snatcher will not let the negotiation reach the conclusion that the King and the Federation wanted.’ Bruce thought inside while examining everyone around him, including the diplomat.

  “That is good. Please, this way.” The diplomat gestured with his hand to Bruce and Bruce walked slowly toward the Forbidden Pace.

  Bruce, the transtor, and the diplomat were escorted by the men from the Hinon Federation due to security reasons. The number was not much but it could ensure the safety of the commander.

  They moved to the Inner Pace where the Royal Court was located. Bruce had seen with his own eyes the luxurious decoration of the pace and could not help but be amazed.

  Then they arrived at a rge gate that separated the corridor and the Royal Court. The gate was made of reinforced steel and even Bruce could see his reflection from the gate.

  “Please wait for a moment.” The diplomat said before he went to the gate guardian to announce their arrival.

  The gate guardian nodded and communicated using a wire which connected to the Royal Court. After that, the gate guardian nodded to the diplomat.

  Then a loud voice could be heard from the Royal Court. It was loud enough that the people outside could hear it.

  “Please go inside with me, Sir. As for your escort, they have to wait outside.” The diplomat said before he went to the front of the gate. Bruce gestured for his men to be cautious and ready to act at any moment before he went after the diplomat.

  “Please let me bring him. He is important to me.” Bruce said, pointing to the transtor who had accompanied him.

  “Sure.”

  Then after the three of them stood in front of the rge steel gate, they saw that the gate was opening. The sound of the gate opening rang throughout the corridor.

  The three stepped forward and walked inside. When Bruce was inside, he could see that there were twelve pilrs in total, six on each side. The rectangur court was rge enough to accommodate a hundred people at once.

  The floor was made from marble which was clean enough to reflect his image. He noticed this as he walked.

  At the end of the court, there was a throne that was made of a combination of red and gold. The red was inside the throne while the gold surrounded it. On the throne sat a figure that Bruce presumably thought was the king of the Heavensend Kingdom.

  Then the diplomat bowed at his waist as he greeted the king. Bruce followed suit and also did the same thing as the diplomat along with the transtor.

  “Nice to meet you, people from another continent. I believe that you are here to finalize the matter that our representatives have discussed before.” Chi Sen spoke in a neither overbearing nor servile tone.

  “It is also nice for me to meet Your Majesty. I am here as the commander of the entire campaign of the Hinon Federation.” Bruce introduced himself as such and the transtor reyed it to the king.

  “Let us discuss further. First, I would like to know about the supervisor who will be stationed in this kingdom. What is their purpose?” Chi Sen asked.

  “Their purpose is to oversee and supervise the thing the kingdom has done. They will report directly to the Federation directly about any bad things that the officials here have done. After that, we will send the enforcer to correct the wrong. As long as you follow our rules and w, you will not be sent the enforcer.” Bruce said in a ft tone.

  “What is this rule and w that you mentioned?” Chi Sen asked again.

  “It is that the government has to be responsible for its people. They have to improve the living conditions of the people from before. Furthermore, they have to distribute the funds allocated to the people properly, if there is any sign that the governor has embezzled the funds the enforcer of the rule and w will be sent to catch them and punish the responsible under our rule and w.”

  But just as Chi Sen wanted to continue asking from his throne, Bruce furrowed his brow. He felt something that was strangely familiar to him.

  “Your Majesty, please get off from your throne!” Bruce loudly said to Chi Sen. Chi Sen did not understand for a quarter of a second but then he felt something strange and got off from his throne.

  Then a bck gas suddenly descended from the ceiling to the throne. Bruce had felt its presence while Chi Sen was slightly te in response.

  Bruce took out a pistol from the inner pocket of his clothes. It was his most secretive weapon in case of emergency.

  Chi Sen felt slightly sluggish but managed to come to Bruce’s side.

  “Is this…Undead Element?” Chi Sen asked as if in disbelief.

  “Yes, undoubtedly so. Are you alright, Your Majesty?” Bruce asked in concern. It was because some of the Undead Element had touched Chi Sen.

  “I am fine. It is just a short-time exposure. I can’t believe that they are this reckless!” Chi Sen was angry at the instigator.

  But just as they started to think about the Undead Element, they discovered that something had been happening outside.

  The sound of shots could be heard and then screams like the one in agony could also be heard. Bruce knew that this was probably the move from those dissatisfied with the king’s decision.

  ‘Is it the Snatcher?’ thought Bruce.

  Then one of the walls of the Royal Court had a hole in it. From the hole, the four of them could see that there was a creature entering from the hole.

  Bruce squinted his eyes and saw the creature. It had hideous scales that almost fell off from its body. Its head was a strange mix between human and reptile while its cw was like that of the Rex. Its tail however was like some mammals in the nd that Bruce had seen before.

  Most worrying of all, the creature emanated a strong Undead Element which caused the hole to be filled with bck gas.

  “Stay back!” Bruce then pointed the muzzle of his pistol to the creature. He pulled the trigger and shots rang throughout the court. Chi Sen also pulled the pistol from within his royal garment.

  He followed along and also shot the creature. The diplomat and the transtor fell back behind the two.

  Several shots were fired but their expression was grim. The creature was not dead. No, far from it, it did not fall.

  “Damn it!” Bruce knew that the situation outside was also grim. But if they were not able to take care of the immediate threat in front of them, they would not be able to even get out!

  “Looks like…this is where I need to show Sir something meaningful.” The transtor then moved forward, as if he was not afraid of the creature.

  “You…fall back!” Bruce roared but the transtor smiled slightly before he let out a punch at the creature. For a moment, Bruce could feel a slight pressure emanating from the transtor.

  Unexpectedly, the creature was sent back flying. The pistol was useless in front of the creature but the punch from the transtor managed to damage the creature.

  “Your Majesty…” the transtor said to the king before he continued, “…do you know about the Snatcher?”

  “I know them. What of it?” Chi Sen nodded and asked.

  “They are the ones who create division among the people. And looks like they have done the same in another continent. They also have experimented on the Undead Element without your knowledge. Just look at this creature.

  “They are the result of numerous experiments done by the Snatcher as they called themselves. This creature cannot be defeated by a mere light gun. You need a potent explosive or a strong enough Transcendent to defeat them.”

  Bruce did not expect that the transtor the forces had discovered was actually someone who was eligible for Transcendence Path.

  Furthermore, from what Bruce was seeing, the man was able to utilize the Undead Element to bolster his own power. That was the Necromancer’s Trait.

  “Since you don’t have a potent explosive, I will be the one to eliminate this treat.” The transtor then lunged at the creature, fully unleashing his power.

  The creature was resisting by using its cws and tails. But the transtor was able to dodge and also counterattack the creature. Another solid punch nded on the creature’s head.

  This time, the transtor csped the creature’s head while he did something to the creature. Bruce noticed that the bck gas was actually converging toward the transtor.

  ‘Looks like he is absorbing the Undead Element.’ Bruce thought as he saw the event.

  After all of the bck gas was absorbed by the transtor, the creature fell off easily. The creature slowly turned into ash as its body disappeared from their view.

  “Your Majesty, do you recognize the name Long Wu?” the transtor asked the king.

  “Don’t tell me, you are…” Chi Sen suddenly had a realization.

  “Yes, I am him.” The transtor chose to expose himself including his identity.

  “But you should be dead. The Snatcher…” Chi Sen wanted to add something but Long Wu stopped him. All of the problems stemmed from the Snatcher and they should solve that problem.

  “Now we have to hurry!” Long Wu then opened the steel gate. The three of them did not expect that Long Wu was this strong.

  The gate opened and what they saw outside was horrifying. Lots of people were turning into rotten corpses. Most of them were actually civilians who became officials. Bck gas were proliferating in a rge area,, covering most of the corridor.

  The escorts were suppressing the lots of simir creatures they had seen inside the Royal Court.

  “Hold on! Commander, what happened inside that caused you to come out?”

  “There is a hole in one of the walls of the court and one creature managed to get inside.” Bruce expined.

  “Give way to me!” Long Wu gestured with his body and Bruce ordered his escort to give way. Now they had to cooperate with this particur Transcendent to solve the current case. They then shot another creature that Long Wu did not handle.

  Then Long Wu incapacitated the creatures one by one by absorbing the Undead Element they exuded. After all of the Undead Element was extracted, they turned to ash and disappeared from the view of the people.

  “Finally done, good job.” Bruce knew that something important had happened since Long Wu and Chi Sen had exchanged words.

  “You can call me Long Wu, Sir.” Long Wu smiled slightly at Bruce. Bruce understood his words and nodded.

  “Let’s move to the safe pce first.” Bruce suggested and Long Wu nodded. Chi Sen, Bruce, Long Wu and the rest of the people who were on their side gathered together.

  They shot at the strange creature before Long Wu neutralized them by absorbing its Undead Element. All the people there figured out that the bck gas was actually the source of power for those creatures.

  Therefore, they left the creatures for Long Wu to take care and they just needed to suppress the creature until Long Wu arrived.

  They did this while they moved. Chi Sen led the rest of the people outside the Forbidden Pace as the pace was probably compromised.

  When they stepped outside, they discovered several sources of the Undead Element flowing freely throughout the capital city.

  The Undead Element already hit several pces in the capital city and people screamed and cried because of the Undead Element that invaded their bodies.

  Chi Sen frowned while Long Wu looked at the sight with a seething killing intent. Bruce however remained calm and directed his escorts to follow him. He followed Chi Sen and Long Wu naturally.

  “What a ruthless action. Looks like the way I govern this kingdom is wrong, wrong!” Chi Sen clenched his fist when he saw that most of the people hit by the Undead Element were civilians. As for the nobles, he did not even see them on the big road and the street.

  They were likely prepared for it.

  “We need to stabilize the situation. Fortunately, we have a way to suppress the Undead Element with us.” Bruce said this not because he was kind but because the Undead Element was obstructing their way to escape.

  “Really? Then please do it immediately.” Long Wu was the one to speak to Bruce. Bruce nodded and from his grasp, there was a small white pill. The white pill strangely enough attracted the Undead Element toward it.

  Long Wu and Chi Sen saw that the color of the white pill slowly turned into the same bck color as the bck gas of the Undead Element.

  “This is actually the product from the Thebes Kingdom. It is actually a mixture of Sert and Ti. Of course, those in the know recognized that the two are actually the main ingredients for the Mur mixture.” Bruce commented slightly about the white pill.

  “I’ve heard of them. They are the ones who are the most forward in the research about Transcendent and the technology reted to Transcendent.” Chi Sen spoke with some understanding about the kingdom across the sea.

  “That’s a good stuff to have. Please clear the Undead Element first then we will go to a safe pce.” Long Wu said and Bruce extended his hand and the vortex of the Undead Element formed due to the attraction the white pill caused.

  And so, the group moved with Bruce, Chi Sen and Long Wu in the front. Bruce had to clear the Undead Element that was spreading around using the white pill.

  The more he used the white pill, the more it turned bck in color. Bruce realized that the white pill was almost full absorbing the Undead Element. Bruce’s hand was also feeling a bit of pain from holding the white pill.

  “Let me hold it for you. It is dangerous for you to hold it for long.” Long Wu snatched the pill from Bruce’s extended hand and he became the one who extended his hand and let the pill did the job.

  Bruce nodded, feeling thankful that such a person was on the side of the Federation. Perhaps, he wanted the Heavensend Kingdom to change their ways but only found the Federation to be a better solution.

  Long Wu absorbed some of the Undead Element inside the pill. He did not expect that the Undead Element would become more purified inside the pill.

  He was bolstered by the purified Undead Element and felt that his strength increased slightly. He then condensed all the absorbed Undead Element into his body and tried to form a core.

  There was a rge source of Undead Element so Long Wu did not have to worry about running out of Undead Element.

  The Undead Element inside his body gathered at a certain point inside his body, condensed into a tight space where they could only form a core. Long Wu was forcing the Undead Element to form a core.

  ‘According to the intel I got, the Core Formation Realm is where a Transcendent condenses a core. This is a good opportunity to reach that realm!’
