Ch 85 - Orgamine Troll Chieftain

Archie quickly rolled himself out of his charge and kicked off the ground, leaping away from the falling logs and taking cover behind the chieftain’s sturdier-looking hut. Archie ignored the thuds and cracking of the logs as they smashed atop one another and destroyed the less-than-sturdy-looking huts, instead focusing on fully repairing his gauntlets and his splinter-ridden mask.

Once fully repaired, Archie peeked over the corner of the hut but quickly jerked back, avoiding a giant arrow that tore through the wooden corner and lodged itself into the wall behind him.

Punching off the giant arrow’s shaft from the steel tip, Archie caught it mid-pivot and launched it towards one of the three regular trolls that charged into the outpost, clearing shocked by the crashing of their tower.

Not stopping from the momentum of his throw, he rolled forward before turning to face the chieftain and activated Savage Charge

As Archie was charging at the chieftain, just as he was five meters away – less than a few seconds away from crashing into her- he dashed to the right, away from her arrow as it exploded from the string.

Archie’s smile faded the moment he saw her own smile grow as the arrow that was a good meter Northeast suddenly split down the middle and rocketed towards him. Archie’s eyes widened moments before the giant arrow speared through his stomach and launched him towards the two standing trolls and the kneeling one.

Archie heaved mid-air as all the air he held within his lungs shot out, before his adrenaline snapped him out of his momentary shock.

But before Archie could move his arm to rip out the giant arrow that pierced through his stomach, one of the standing trolls smashed their stone-tipped club into his side with all their strength.

  Crack!

Archie felt four of his ribs on his left side crack as he was sent rocketing out of the outpost and into the jungle.

Archie felt weightless and heard the ringing of bells for a good eternity – five seconds- before crashing into the mud below, tumbling across the jungle, and coming to a halt by crashing into a tree and smacking down, mask first into the mud below him.

Each tumble sank the giant arrow embedded into his torso even deeper, sending even more arcs of pain throughout his body.

, Archie gasped as he slowly pushed himself off the ground, in a makeshift kneeling plank position in an attempt to gather his bearings.

Shaking his head bewilderedly, Archie snapped back to the present and started to chuckle at what had just happened.

Archie chuckled to himself while wiping off his mud-covered mask.

Looking down at the giant arrow that pierced through his Sentinel Platiniteshell Chestpiece, Archie was about to rip out the arrow, but just before he pulled it out, he took notice of the lack of blood that should have surrounded his wound.

Although the arrow cost him quite a bit of health—and even an organ or two—it had lodged itself so firmly that not a single drop of blood escaped his body. However, the moment he removed it, blood would gush out by the gallon, and he’d likely bleed to death unless he supercharged his regeneration—assuming, of course, the trolls were kind enough to give him the chance.

But judging by their charging out of the outpost and wildly shouting and snickering with excitement towards him, Archie really doubted it.

Gripping the lower part of the arrow near his chest, he smashed the larger, protruding section of the giant arrow embedded in him, grunting as the arrow tip shifted and stabbed into his pancreas.

Moving his mask to the side slightly, Archie spat out a wad of blood before moving back his mask and kicking off the ground, charging at the three trolls that rushed at him.

Just before Archie crashed into the troll, he canceled Savage Charge

Archie yanked back the vines as he slid between the other two trolls, hearing a surprised grunt before a squelching crunch that shook the ground.

Dismissing the extended vines, Archie pushed himself off the muddied ground and lunged at the rightmost troll, almost slipping as his right boot, still covered in mud, stepped over a smooth piece of stone atop his back.

Dodging a wild swipe from the troll and ducking under a wild club swing from the leftmost troll, Archie let out a chuckle as the club shattered itself across the face of the troll he climbed, ripping off its stonelike flesh and shattering countless bones in its face.

Taking advantage of the moment, Archie tried something new; he coated the thorns atop his fists with smaller versions of mana knives, enhancing their already enhanced sharpness even more and invigorating the flames atop them.

Archie smashed both his fists into both sides of the head of the troll he climbed; his fists easily penetrated through its skull and squashed its brain before the vines rocketed off his fists and wrapped themselves around its squashed brain.

Ripping out his fists and kicking off the falling troll’s back with a burst of stamina, Archie landed on the ground in a slight crouch, skidding on the mud as he dodged a giant arrow aimed at him that skewered itself deep into the mud.

Dashing towards the first troll he downed, which pushed itself off the mud, he took out his Mana Revolver and shot a manabolt at its head that was being nursed by its muddied hand.

The manabolt ripped through its hand and melted through a good portion of the front of its face, making it roar in pain.

Archie quickly tossed his Mana Revolver into his spatial storage and leaped off the ground before smashing his fist against the troll’s face.

Feeling a large build-up of mana behind him, Archie kicked off the ton-and-a-half troll’s stomach, leaped over its body, dodging a giant arrow that speared through its body, setting off a large explosion of blood and flesh that covered everything within a four-meter radius.

  Mid-flip, Archie activated Savage Charge

Turning back to face the chieftain who was notching back another giant arrow and the last remaining troll that ran towards the outpost as fast as its ton-and-a-half body could carry, flailing around its half-destroyed club.

Archie rushed forward, his eyes trained on the chieftain’s arrow as it was fully notched back, while ripping out the giant stub of an arrow out of his torso and sealing his Sentinel Platiniteshell Chestpiece shut with an amplified Self-Repair activation as he activated Runic Amplification

Archie ignored the dropping feeling of an organ peaking out through his torso and touching his chestpiece and supercharged his vital energy. He felt the troll meat he’d consumed almost deplete entirely as he felt his skin knit itself and his innards move themselves back into his torso.

Archie saw the arrow explode from the chieftain’s bow and rocket towards him, with less than a hundred meters between them.

Launching himself off the ground and towards the right, Archie saw the chieftain smile once more as the giant arrow split itself.

Focusing on the adrenaline that rushed through his being, Archie flooded the air under his right foot with as much mana as he could muster within a second and solidified it as much as he could within that second.

Archie felt his foot sink into the small, translucent mana platform before the mana stabilized and allowed him to launch himself above the split arrow and activated Savage Charge

Archie skidded atop the tower, stopping himself before he slid off and took out a mana and stamina potion before quickly downing them and tossing their containers back into his spatial storage.

Feeling his mana pool filled entirely back and just under a third of his stamina pool replenish, bringing it up to around 60%, Archie kicked off the edge of the tower and towards the troll that dashed into its shoddily made hut.

Archie crashed through the roof of the hut, sending wooden splinters flying in all directions as he unleashed a flurry of blows on the back of the troll. The creature was scrambling toward a small wooden miniature troll in the corner of the room, marked with distinct black patterns across its body.

Archie’s fists tore through the troll’s flesh, battling against its relentless regeneration. Yet, with each punch he landed, the troll's body began to shrink and shrivel as it kept trying to inch its way toward the miniature.

As Archie ripped through the troll's constantly regenerating flesh, he finally saw its large, pulsing purple heart. Just as he reached to tear it out with his left hand, an explosion of wood and gore erupted in front of him.

Archie blinked as it took him a moment to realize that his left arm had vanished, leaving him with just barely anything beyond his left shoulder.

The pain barely registered, drowned out by the surge of adrenaline flooding his system and overwhelming it with dopamine. He turned his gaze toward his attacker, visible through the gaping hole in the barely standing hut.

The chieftain stood before him, now stripped of the fat that had previously shrouded her form. In its place was a slightly shorter but far more muscular figure, her stone-grey body adorned with striking black tattoos, not unlike the miniature that lay in the corner of the hut.

Her bow seemingly released steam as she picked up a giant arrow embedded into the ground beside her.

Archie stared in disbelief before he snapped out of his stupor and speared his right fist through the shriveled troll’s form and ripped out its oversized heart.

Dashing out of her line of sight, Archie, with Vital SightDoes she have Vital Sight too?

Realizing there was no point in hiding, Archie stuffed the oversized purple heart into his mouth, stretching his jaws so wide that the corners tore. Not even registering the pain he should have felt, he quickly scarfed the heart down.

As Archie swallowed the troll’s heart, he felt full.

Unlike when he had nearly consumed the entire troll he’d experimented on and felt only mildly bloated afterward, eating the heart left him truly full.

He wasn’t sure why, but the troll’s heart felt so much more filling than that of its body.

Archie questioned as he dashed towards the chieftain and used his supercharged vital energy to regenerate his left arm.

Just as the chieftain fully notched back the giant arrow, a sharp snap resounded over the squelching sounds of Archie’s boots on the mud and the huffing from both of them.

Archie’s smile widened as he took in the shock of the chieftain of her bowstring snapping and activated Savage Charge

Archie shoulder tackled the three-meter-tall chieftain, spearing his shoulder deep into her abdomen, sending her crashing down into the mud with him atop of her. Activating Relentless Flurry

As Archie was ripping through her flesh, he felt the chieftain’s hands wrap around his neck and strangle his windpipe.

Archie flexed his throat, pushing against the large hands that were strangling him, and continued to rain down blow after blow, ripping through the chieftain’s torso as blood rushed to his head.

As Archie ripped through the chieftain's torso, he felt his throat begin to be crushed, unable to breathe, and his muscles barely protecting his neck from snapping. With the chieftain’s ribcage in sight, Archie activated Impact Dynamo on both his gauntlets, 100% on his right and 40% on his left.

Moments after the activation of Impact Dynamo, the midsection of the chieftain’s corpse exploded, and her vital sparks died out as her hands fell to the ground lifelessly, splashing atop the bloodied mud.

With a series of deep huffs, Archie fell on his ass besides the chieftain’s corpse and started to fully focus on using the remaining vestiges of the troll’s heart to supercharge his vital energy and heal his crushed throat and ruined fists.

After his Health was fully topped off, he looked at the notifications that he had ignored previously. “The hell was a treasure hunter doing here?” Archie mumbled to himself.

  Dungeon of the Troll Outpost

Objective: Reward:Dungeon will automatically close in 0:11:30:04

Feeling two items that entered his spatial storage, Archie smiled as he took out the fourth and final Sigil of Challenge and took in its purple design and depiction of a troll before tossing it back into his spatial storage. “Finally got them all,” Archie muttered before taking out the signet from his spatial storage and Identifying it.

  Trollblood Signet (Rare):

A purplish grey, stone-grey ring crafted with the lifeblood of a Troll. The ring boosts the wearer’s Vitality and Strength by tapping into the main attributes of a Troll. On top of enhancing the wearer’s physical attributes, the user also gains a minor boost in the secondary most prominent aspect of Trolls. Effects: Soul-Bound & Self-Repair. Provides: +90 Vitality & +60 Strength. Status: Perfect. Requirement: Lv 75+ & Humanoid Race.

“What else are trolls good at other than their regeneration?” Archie asked aloud, replacing his Ring of the Ashenhound’s Fury with his newly gained Trollblood Signet.

“Their endurance?” Archie questioned before dashing the idea. If that was the case, then it would have shown in the bonuses. After a couple more minutes of trying to figure out what other attributes the trolls had and drawing a blank, Archie made his way out of the dungeon, stuffing as many troll corpses as he could into his spatial storage.

He’d figure it out eventually, maybe a guide of sorts he’d buy at the end of the tutorial with Bralmir as his proxy, the next time he’d visit him in his domain, the next time he used Spirit Link

Archie thought as he exited the final Sigil Dungeon.
