Magic Affinity
Magic, while often erroneously regarded as boundless, actually has many distinct limitations. The most clear-cut of these being the basic magic affinities. Limiting the array of magic accessible to any individual.
When inactive, standard zastyne crystals typically bear a colorless tone, but when in the possession of a person and activated, they will glow in a color dependent on the person wielding them.
Furthermore, crystal activation and affinity manipulation can be accomplished through artificial methods as well, such as certain electrical currents and specific types of radiation, allowing for their use through mechanical means.

There are eight basic affinities:
Red/Fire: Capable of producing flames and manipulating heat across various temperatures. Commonly used in weapons, industrial forges, and cooking appliances.
Blue/Water: Controls water in liquid, vapor, and solid states. Commonly used for seacraft, irrigation, and generating potable water in remote regions.
Yellow/Lightning: Essential for powering most arcane machinery. Capable of controlling electricity, plasma states, and electromagnetic waves such as in crystalwave technologies.
Purple/Air: Controls airflow, pressure, and gaseous elements. Essential in the flight capabilities of both airobirds and flying fortresses.
Orange/Earth: Capable of shaping soil, stone, and mineral materials. Commonly used for constructing infrastructure or rapidly forming military fortifications.
Green/Life: Most commonly used for conjuring flora, though complex applications can manipulate living tissue. Widely applied in medicine and agriculture.
Pink/Spirit: Capable of manipulating both the body and mind through manipulation of one's spirit. Used in healing, emotional regulation, and mind-influencing magic.
Silver/Light Magic: Capable of bending light into illusions or converting it into focused energy. Often used in magical photography, film, and military reconnaissance.
