The SS Moonwater sailed on the horizon, its great body slowly floating on the waves. It was a Buorolauese ship, sailing to San Carlos Island. Bolts of lightning illuminated the dark ship. The violent waves tossed and turned the ship from side to side. Out of the water came a giant squid-like dragon creature, its long arms grabbing the ship and hauling it towards shore. A flash of lightning struck the ship’s hull, and it became practically invisible beneath the waves. A scramble of desperate sailors tried to swim to shore. Only a few made it. The rest were either caught by the giant squid or went down with the ship. A few hours later, about 70 or so survivors were making their way up the shore. The island was covered in fir trees. They went to scavenge for food, and came back with only a few pinecones and berries. They realized that this was nowhere near San Carlos. They had stumbled upon a whole new land. The ship had been blown of course during the storm, and they ended up at the edge of the world. One of the survivors, a young boy named Rufus, was busy exploring the island. He came back about half an hour later, panting heavily. “This isn’t San Carlos”, he said between breaths. “This is a whole different land.” His companions just stared at him like he was on crack. Soon a dozen tree-looking people came out of the woods, their arrows pointed at the soldiers. The Buorolauese soldiers aimed their rifles. “Who are you?” Asked Blara, Rufus’ sister. “ Xebi con alios marias?”, said one of the tree people. When no response came, The tree men shot their arrows. They missed completely, safe for one arrow that barely poked a soldier’s scalp. He yowled in pain. The Soldiers were ready to fire, when they heard a loud humming sound in the distance. 15 Ships of the Buorolauese navy appeared on the horizon. A large helicopter descended on them from above. It shot machine guns at the tree men, who retreated back into the forest fearfully. A ladder appeared out of the helicopter, and one by one the disheveled soldiers made their way in.
