"Summer Break, Unexpected Roommate"

"Okay then, I'll prepare the table. Please get freshened up in the meantime, "Kaito said, gesturing towards the bathroom.

Chiaka nodded and headed off to get ready. As Kaito set the table, his mind raced. What in the world is going on here? And why does it have to be miss Chiaka Hoshino? Can I just die right now?

Chiaka Hoshino wasn't just anyone. She was the Madonna of the university - super popular, breathtaking pretty, not bad in studies and athletic too. She is really kind and admired by everyone. And now, Kaito was going to live under same roof as this flawless senior.

She's like an unapproachable celebrity -someone you can admire afar but never dare to approach. How am I supposed to handle this?!

A short while later, Chiaka returned, looking refreshed. ''Let's have breakfast, "Kaito said, trying to sound casual.

"Yes, thank you for having me," Chiaka replied with a polite smile.

"No,no! It's my honour,"Kaito said, his voice slightly shaky.

Chiaka took a bite and her eyes lit up. "Yum! This is so good! You know what? Marry me," she said with a teasing tone.

"Wha-?!" Kaito nearly choked on his own food his face crimson.

"Hehe , just kidding. But look at your face -it's all red. How cute,"Chiaka said, giggling.

"It's your fault!" Kaito shot back, flustered.

Chiaka leaned back with a mischievous smile.

"I should unpack my things. Which room is mine? Or... are we sharing the same room?

  Hehe, just kidding".

"Ugh, she's so different in reality, "Kaito thought to himself, trying to calm his racing heart.

This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author's work.

"You can use my sister's room. And you really shouldn't joke like that with a guy -they might get the wrong idea".

"Were you imagining it? Pervert alert!" Chiaka teased, her grin widening.

"Who's the real pervert here?!" Kaito retorted glaring at her.

"Hehe , you're so cute. Its fun to tease you, Chiaka said, her laughter filling the room.

"I'm going to play games now. Feel at home and help yourself to anything in the fridge, "Kaito said, trying to escape the conversation

"I'll keep that in mind. Thank you again for having me,"Chiaka said with a sweet smile.

As she walked away, Kaito sighed, his heart still pounding. She's so cute. Her smile alone is enough to make my heart skip a beat....

Kaito sat down in the living room, gripping his controller tightly as he tried to immerse himself in the game. But no matter how hard he concentrated, his mind kept drifting back to the fact that Chiaka Hoshino -the university's Madonna -was now living under the same roof as him.

Why did it have to be her? Of all people!

This is too much for me...

Lost in thought, Kaito didn't notice Chiaka sneaking up behind him.

"Boo!" she said suddenly, leaning closer.

"Ahhh!" Kaito jumped, nearly throwing the controller. "D-Don't scare me like that!"

Chiaka giggled. "Sorry, but you seemed serious

  what are you playing?"

"Just an RPG, "Kaito muttered, trying to focus on screen.

"Ooh, I love RPGs! Can I join?" Chiaka asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Huh? You play games?" Kaito asked, genuinely surprised.

"Of course! Didn't Miyu tell you? I've got a huge collection of games. I'm practically a pro at this stuff,"Chiaka said with a proud grin.

Kaito couldn't help but feel a little intimidated.

She's good at so many things.

"Alright, fine. Grab a controller, "Kaito said, handling her the second one.

"Wow, you're amazing at this, "Kaito admitted.

"Hehe, told you!" Chiaka said, flashing him a triumphant smile. "You're not bad yourself, though. This is fun!"

For a moment, Kaito forgot about awkward he felt around her. The two of them laughed and competed, the tension between them gradually easing.

Later that afternoon, Chiaka started unpacking her things in Miyuki's room. Kaito wandered past and peeked in, noticing just how organized her belongings were.

"Need any help?" he asked hesitantly.

"Nope, I'm all good!" Chiaka said cheerfully.

"But thanks for offering. Oh, by the way, do you know where the laundry is?"

"Yeah its on left to the main gate," Kaito said. "Do you have a lot to wash?"

"Nah, just a few things for now. But thanks, Kaito!"

She said with a bright smile.

That evening, Chiaka joined Kaito in the kitchen as he prepared dinner.
