CHAPTER 9:Returning to the Mountain

Inside the mountain valley, a dozen Long-Eared Deer stampeded, kicking up rge clouds of dust! Each of their antlers gleamed with spiritual light, branching into several sharp points.

The injured Azure Cloud Wolves could only flee.

But then, a massive fireball nded behind the Azure Cloud Wolves, sending up huge clouds of dust and spreading a wave of heat.

Following that, four smaller fireballs smmed down behind the Azure Cloud Wolves one after another.

The rge fireball was spat out by the Crimson Fme Fox, Little Fme, while the four smaller fireballs were the basic spells of Ye Jingyu and the others.

The Crimson Fme Fox had an excellent fire affinity, able to cast almost instantly, but Ye Jingcheng and the others varied in speed.

Ye Jingyu was the fastest, followed by Ye Jingcheng, then Ye Jingli and Ye Jingyong.

As the fireballs nded one after another, the Azure Cloud Wolves, already burned, immediately turned around and charged towards the Long-Eared Deer!

It was almost a desperate move!

Mainly because there was a glimmer of hope on the Long-Eared Deer's side, but facing the four members of the Ye Family, there was a Spirit Shield that made beasts despair.

  Boom!

  Howl!

With a loud crash and a pained cry, the desperate Azure Cloud Wolves shot out several Wind Bdes and, with terrifying speed, bit into the thick, plump necks of several Long-Eared Deer.

The Long-Eared Deer's antlers also pierced the bodies of several Azure Cloud Wolves! However, in the end, the Long-Eared Deer had the st ugh, with five or six wounded deer standing tall and licking their wounds.

They also growled at Ye Jingcheng and the others, as if to intimidate them.

But the four of them already had a glint in their eyes, abandoning the Spirit Array and rushing out! The Flying Cloud Leopards were still in the lead, having eaten wolf meat but not yet full.

The Ye Family naturally had a thorough understanding of Spirit Beasts; even when hunting demonic beasts, they would only give them two-tenths of their fill as a reward!

This was to maintain the Flying Cloud Leopards' ferocity! The Crimson Fme Fox followed behind.

"Little Fme, aim directly at the one in the middle!" Ye Jingcheng shouted.

The Crimson Fme Fox immediately flicked its tail in response, opened its mouth, and another rge fireball condensed, heading towards the Long-Eared Deer in the middle with the rgest antlers!

The other four's magical artifacts also shot out almost simultaneously with the fireball.

The Long-Eared Deer were fast, usually able to dodge, but after fighting with the Azure Cloud Wolves, almost every one of them was injured, and one was instantly killed by the fireball.

The remaining few were also killed one by one by the four's magical artifacts.

The two Flying Cloud Leopards missed their targets, and could only dive into the forest, only to see dozens of spotted female Long-Eared Deer and seven or eight young Long-Eared Deer run out from within.

Each of the two Flying Cloud Leopards had a young deer in its mouth! Clearly, the previous Azure Cloud Wolf Pack had been blocking this herd of deer.

"Catch the young deer, sell them to the family, kill the does!" Ye Jingyu said decisively! The group divided the work again. Ye Jingcheng and Ye Jingli, being slightly weaker, retreated to the Spirit Array to prevent the scattered Long-Eared Deer from breaking through the Spirit Shield and escaping!

Ye Jingyu and Ye Jingyong then began to deal with the threatening does.

Half an hour ter, everything in the valley returned to calm.

The two Flying Cloud Leopards were still gnawing on the two young deer they had caught. The young deer's fur was not yet fully spiritual, and their antlers had no medicinal value. Given their great victory, the group simply allowed the two Flying Cloud Leopards to eat their fill.

When it came to Spirit Beasts, the Ye Family would not extinguish their ferocity, otherwise, even if the Spirit Beasts had spirituality, they would not be as powerful as wild demonic beasts.

Whether such a spirit beast is worth nurturing is another matter.

Nearby, Ye Jingyu had already taken out a magical artifact rope, tying the seven fawns into a string, and after affixing spirit talismans, he stored them all in a Spirit Beast Bag.

Ye Jingyong and Ye Jingli were responsible for cleaning up the aftermath, first scattering a circle of crimson powder around the area.

The smell of these powders was extremely pungent, made from the excrement of second-order demon beasts.

Spreading a circle would prevent other demon beasts from approaching to a certain extent!

Afterward, the two collected all the spirit beast corpses, with the spirit blood extracted separately and stored in bottle-shaped magical artifacts. Otherwise, keeping it in the corpses would affect both the spirituality of the spirit blood and the spirit beast meat.

Unless they used freezing talismans, but the value of freezing talismans was more expensive than the spirit beast meat and spirit blood combined.

Ye Jingyong and Ye Jingli cleaned up quickly.

On the other hand, Ye Jingcheng, due to his low cultivation and ck of spiritual energy, was slightly exhausted after the battle. Now, he was responsible for feeding the Crimson Fme Fox and the Jade Ring Rat. The Jade Ring Rat was also injured, but its physique was much better than the Azure Scale Snake. At this moment, it was biting on the corpse of the Azure Cloud Wolf, seemingly seeking revenge, squeaking loudly.

After dealing with the spirit beasts, Ye Jingcheng walked to the spring.

The spring water was exceptionally clear, even though it had been visited by the Long-Eared Deer herd not long ago, leaving behind many seemingly chaotic plum blossom footprints.

  It was still crystal clear.

This spring was not rge, only the size of an ordinary mortal's thatched hut.

Ye Jingcheng then took out four jade bottles and began to fill them with spring water.

There was a miniature spirit vein here, and the water was naturally nourished by the spirit vein. Although it couldn't be considered spirit water, it was still quite rich in spiritual energy.

It was a good choice for the four of them to drink, or for the spirit beasts to consume.

As for spirit herbs, none of the four searched for them again. The Ye Family's demon hunting team was more professional than them and had already swept through the valley.

This spring had also been collected once, otherwise, Ye Jingyu wouldn't have waited a month to come again! These jade bottles were also specially made low-grade magical artifacts, each capable of holding fifty pounds of spring water, so four bottles held two hundred pounds.

After collecting the water, only a shallow pool remained. Ye Jingcheng didn't continue to take more, but allowed it to seep out from the ground.

At this moment, the Spring Eye could be clearly seen bubbling one bubble after another.

Although slow, it could be expected that in less than half a month, the spring would overflow again, and then flow to the jungle, continuing to provide lush nourishment to the trees.

After collecting the spring water, Ye Jingyu had already put away the Spirit Array.

The four of them didn't have time to rest, and transformed into four spiritual shadows, disappearing into the valley.

Two days ter, Ye Jingcheng and the others returned to Lingyun Peak. Seeing the blue brick house, Ye Jingcheng felt very familiar and immediately returned to his bed to rest.

This was the most tiring time since he became a cultivator. The deep sense of fatigue almost made him fall asleep on Ye Jingyu's Spirit Boat, but because he carried wealth and came out of the Mount Taihang Mountain Range, the four of them had to be more careful than when they went.

He slept extremely soundly, even having a sweet dream. In the dream, the Crimson Fme Fox had all nine tails unfurled, destroying the world with ten thousand fires.

The next moment, he woke up groggily, only to see that it had begun to rain heavily outside the window. The mountains and forests were filled with mist, making Lingyun Peak even more mysterious.

  Ye Jingcheng grinned.

It was early spring, and after the heavy rain, it would be time for spring plowing of the spirit rice.

And spring plowing is always a joyous term.

Of course, at this moment, he was even more curious about how many Spirit Stones he would receive this time.
