Giggling in the Womb

Lu woke up from his first sleep, it felt like someone, something was watching. Ignoring that, Lu basked in the greatness of life, the fullness of being surrounded by a beating heart. Food was being sent through a little straw in his belly, it was also feeding him something yummy that felt like the dream he had been having. The energy coursed through his body and he got a fragment of a memory from somewhere of a baby grabbing his mother's finger. He sensed his body floating in that womb and tried to reach out to grab it. He couldn't move though, there wasn't even a twitch when he wanted his hand to do something. Even trying made him feel sleepy, so he went to sleep, to dream his second dream.

In that dream, he watched a human child running around with a golden dog, the dog looked so happy with his big black lipped smile and his wagging tail. The child was giggling and running around with a ball as big as his head. His teeth were small and tiny, they had big gaps and his face was covered in an orangish stain. They were both chasing bubbles and throwing that ball around. It looked so fun. He woke up and wanted to play with a ball.

Lu thought about another memory, one where he'd seen a ball and an octopus. He thought about that ball, and it felt like another thing he had, his heart. So he focused on his heart and thought about a ball with all his heart. The beats started shrinking from his whole body to a little ball in the center of his body. Then when he wanted it to move, it moved. It went very slow, but wherever it touched, Lu felt like he could feel everything it touched.

The ball even tickled a little when he rubbed it against his toes, that made him giggle. He liked the feeling of giggling, so he giggled some more. Then his body finally moved. It didn't listen to him, but it reacted to the things that happened to him.

Lu played with the bubble that was following his desires. First he wanted it to tickle him some more, so he ran it all along the surface of his skin. He kept giggling and his feet started kicking a bit. When the bubble floated up to his head, it felt like it wanted to go in. The bubble desired rest, and Lu liked the bubble so he let it in. First he let it swallow his head whole, then he let go of the desire for it to do anything at all. Then it sank into the form of his head, the ball turned into this weird little wire thingy that separated into lobes. It was so soothing that Lu peed in the womb. That made him giggle some more.

This time when he wanted to move his hand it worked! He smacked himself in the face and spiraled into a giggling fit. He pulled on his cheeks and his tail. Everything was so fun for the little phantasm, and then he tired himself out and went to sleep again.

In this dream he watched himself running around on all fours chasing the bubbles and the balls with the dog and the human child. He saw himself riding the dog and being chased by the little boy. They laughed together and played a new game called tag. The little boy kept poking him and running away, and so Lu kept poking the little boy and running away. Then the little boy found a stick, and started poking Lu with it. It made Lu's fur stain a little purple, and it hurt a little bit. So Lu kept riding the golden dog, and pretended he had a stick to fight back with. The little boy pretended like their sticks clashed, and recoiled upon the mounted attack. Lu also launched back from the back of the golden dog and they both giggled laying down and looking at the sky.

Lu woke up and decided he wanted a stick this time. So he sensed for the feeling from before, but he had two heartbeats. One was in his head, and another in his center. He decided to move the center one again, but it wouldn't do anything he asked it to. It didn't shrink, and that made him sad. He started kicking around in the womb before remembering he had the heartbeat in his head. So he tried to move that one, but only a little bit wanted to listen to him. A little bit was fine, so he tried to make a stick that poked out of his head. A little tiny spike rode along one of his hairs and made it stronger. He pricked it from his head, or at least he tried. It just stung and stayed on.

He started whining because it wasn't listening to him. He wanted to be all strong like the child in the dream, but he couldn't get it to budge. Everything wanted to stay in one piece. He remembered how before, the rhythm had been happening all over his body, so he tried to make that happen again. The weird feeling heartbeat was all in his head, he could feel out the shape of the thing on the inside of his head, it was big like two fists, and it plugged into a biiiiig tunnel. Lu decided that he didn't need a stick if he just followed the tunnel, it looked fun.

Then the heartbeat feeling traced along the tunnel. It had a lot of exits, but only one really big pathway. He let little bulges in the path mark the outcrops of the tunnel. Then he noticed the tunnel kept going into his tail! That meant... HIS BODY WAS A STICK!!! He could have wept, he had made a stick by accident! Muwhahaha!

That made him really sleepy, and off to dreamland he went. This time he poked the human child with a stick, and the human child got scratches all over him! Instead of giggling though, the little boy started crying. All of a sudden Lu felt really bad, and he walked over on all fours to the boy who laid sobbing with his body curled up in a ball. Instead of hitting the boy with his super cool tail, he laid next to him and gave him a hug. The sobbing started to go away, and the two were surrounded by the sleeping puppy. It wasn't that fun when he hurt others, that didn't feel like playing. But laying down together like this made him feel a different good feeling, it wasn't like a giggle, but it made him feel whole in a strange way.
